Absolutely everything about this hotel is to be recommended! It's location is incredible: 02 Academy; Walker Art Gallery; Empire Theatre; World Museum; St.John's Shopping Mall; Lime Street Station - literally on the doorstep! Polite, efficient, friendly staff. Comfortable, clean room. No noise from the railway next door! FREE car parking! Lovely restaurant & bar. Terrific breakfast! We WILL book again!
My first stay at this hotel. Welcoming and helpful staff. Well presented, clean room with tea and coffee making facilities and a yummy shortbread. Bath and shower available, with lots of hot water, towels and toiletries. Nice soft toilet roll too. Bed was comfortable, with cotton bedding. Mini bar available. TV worked. Parking right next door, which is free to residents, Room was in the warm side, but there was a window to open. Wifi was free, but was slow. Not great if you are here for business. We ate at a Wetherspoons at thr end of the road, literally 5 mins walk away. Close to the train station and sightseeing, would definitely stay here again.
We asked for a high floor and we got the fourth..even though we were right next to lime Street station we didn't hear any trains...so top marks for that. We only stayed a couple of nights and the beds I'm sure are made to make you feel as though your at sea as they moved that much! We were disappointed that after a day out sight seeing around Liverpool we got back to our room to find that it hadn't been serviced but a call to reception and they sorted it out. Breakfast is plentyful to set you up for a day sight seeing. Definitely go back.
Excellent hotel. Great service. Very friendly staff and the breakfast was superb. Lots to do in Liverpool just not enough time. Would definitely recommend the trip on the ferry. And Liverpool one is a must see
Arrived at 13:00 and staff checked us in straight away. They were very friendly. Free car park for our stay. Went to see beauty and the beast at the Liverpool philamonic hall Arrived back at 23:00. Reception greeted us with a smile We had a twin room this was very clean and tea and coffee in room. Breakfast was at 06:00 till 20:00 and was excellent. Full English cereal and continental was available. All in all. A great hotel in a good location. Would definitely stay again
My mom has always wanted to come to the city.. so this was the opportunity. We stayed there for 3 days and got a great deal at The Liner Hotel. They upgraded our room to a bigger suite and couldn't have been more accommodating. The room and place itself was very clean and located in a great spot for Liverpool lime street train station and a 5 mins walk into the city. The staff at the hotel are great. So lovely. We ate last night at the hotel and me being vegan - the staff couldn't have been more helpful and willing to put sonething together for me. There are items on their menu that can be organised but i just wanted a simple salad and I think this amused them yet pleased them and they made it actually really lovely and just what i wanted. So thank you. I really like this place.. for ease.. for friendly staff.. for location.. for cost.. you really can't go wrong... massive thanks to all at the liner who made my mom's weekend in Liverpool really lovely and fun for her. She and I both enjoyed ourselves .
Last minute decision to stay over in order to catch the first train to London the next morning. Go a great deal on line, due to the price paid, I wasn’t expecting much, but certainly better than expectations. I didn’t eat as I arrived late and left before breakfast, so not sure what the food is like but all staff very helpful and friendly. Room was great, spotlessly clean and everything working. On site car park very reasonable. Would stay again.
Would highly recommend this hotel. Short or long visit's. Central to everything. Food was lovely. We will be definitely be back again. Great staff. Debbie and Graham were fantastic. Thanks guys. Laura. 😊
We booked to stay in another hotel across the road. The hotel was disgusting even though we had fully paid for the room we could not stay their looking out of the window at the liner. So bags still packed we went across to the liner and asked them if they had a room for the night. Thankfully they did or we would be sleeping in the car. Upon entering you are greeted at reception by polite smartly dressed staff all wearing a smile. Check in was very quick room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was also very clean and modern. Minibar was well stocked but no one explained how it works or pricing. Also a safe in the wardrobe to keep valuables secure when leaving the room. Breakfast has a large selection of well cooked foods as well as fresh fruit and cereals etc. Loads of choice of juice teas and coffees. Again the staff in the dining room were smartly dressed happy and helpful. Checkout again was quick and the woman who checked us out even offered us a little help with the key from the previous hotel thank you for a lovely stay.
Cannot fault the location at all. We were staying for a gig at the Empire theatre which was on the same road. Arrived by train (Metro) which was also next to the hotel. Very quiet, slept really well. We booked a superior room and the bed was huge . We didn’t eat here so can’t comment. The one criticism I have is the cleanliness. I found hairs in the bath, around the toilet base and worst of all a great big toenail by the side of the bed in full view 😨 Not impressed at all and for that reason would not stay again.
