Checked in and went to room on one of the hottest days of the year. Turn on air con in room and nothing.... ...... So I call reception and ask to move rooms (before I unpack). Apparently there are no other rooms available, followed by a good old hotel trick of the trade, by doing a quick check to see that I am staying just one night, and then offer to move me in the morning !!!. I then spoke to duty manager and he advised that maintenance will try and look at it........... Unfortunately for the somewhat less than truthful receptionist and duty Manager I was staying at the hotel with three other colleagues, and guess what ???.......... they too had no air conditioning in their rooms. I suspect that there were plenty of other available rooms I could have moved to, but none of them had any working air con so very little point. Further investigations with a maid identified that there had been no air con for a while so we could have been advised of this at check-in. I would of cancelled and moved elsewhere so maybe this is why we were not told !!. On check out I asked it we could get a reduction is the rate for the fact that we had all had very poor nights sleep due to the heat. "No sorry" was the receptionists reply. Really !!!! If it had been a Travelodge I would of received a full refund.

Stayed here for a wedding back in March, service from start to finish was fantastic. Food was really good, entertainment was great. Drinks prices were expensive but that's to be expected! Location was ideal, plentiful parking!

I have stayed at this hotel many this over the years during my business trip to Liverpool. I always found all staffs are very helpful. The rooms are always clean.The fitness and spa facilities are very relaxing.

I've been staying in this hotel for years, but the last few times I have not been happy. Dirty room, shabby furniture, poor service and broken noisy nights. There is no excuse for wedding party DJs setting off fire alarms late at night scaring our little girl. There is no excuse for reception ringing our room late at night, waking our little girl. There is no excuse for mould and mildew in the bathroom or cobwebs in the bedroom. And there is no excuse for the hot water not being on in the morning. And as for the rude defensive staff? They need to learn how to look after their guests and to talk to them with some respect. That goes for the management. The only reason I awarded 2 stars was for the food. But overall luxury rates for a cheap service.. you get a better nights sleep at a premier inn! And a refund if you are not happy! This family run business is only interested in making quick money out of drunken parties.. where the guests are too drunk to care about the state of their rooms! There is a Marriott golf resort not too far from here - worsley - and we will be staying there next month!

Just had my son and daughter in laws wedding here 3rd june the staff were all amazing nothing was too much trouble for any of them they made all our wedding guests really welcome we couldn't thank them enough and the rooms were lovely and comfortable and clean and very spacious

my son got married here on 03/06/2017 the hole weekend was fantastic from start to finish from the rooms to the wedding reception all the staff were outstanding and friendly and nothing was to much trouble the staff are a credit to this hotel

Had the pleasure of staynig here for the weekend beginning of june 17 for my stepsons wedding. From start to finish the staff could not have been anymore helpful. I cant praise them highly enough for there professionalism from the reception girls to the girls in the breakfast room to all the waiting on staff in the afternoon. Well done to all involved

Stayed here recently with family and friends following our daughter's wedding at a nearby village hall. We had an executive room which was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast included a choice of cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts and hot, cooked breakfast which was very tasty. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We booked 2 rooms for 9 nights (1st visit 6 nights/2nd visit 3 nights). We had air conditioning only 2 nights in both rooms, which were the only nights we could sleep because our rooms were boiling hot. The “fix” was to give us fans for our rooms. Comparing our stay to a few years back, it seems that this hotel is in dire need of renovations. I had to request a replacement shower curtain because of mold on the bottom, which was replaced timely. Although the rooms were tidy enough, they did not feel particularly clean (check out the corners of carpeting & base boards). Ironing board covers need to be replaced (stained), and one iron actually had an additional cover on it to cover the damaged iron. The system of having to insert your key to make the lights work is very antiquated. Wifi very spotty....only lasts 3 hours, so if you are expecting email overnight, be sure to log in again, and again, and again...Was also surprised there was no refrigerator in the room. We do travel quite a lot, so we are well aware of hotel standards. If not for the fact that I was unable to acquire accommodations elsewhere for the second stay, we would not have stayed again. We chose your hotel because of the proximity to our family because we had to assist our family in Kirkby deal with the loss of a loved one, funeral arrangements & family matters. Good customer service would have at least offered one or two nights free when we were checking out, which would have gone a long way in making us feel like we would want to stay at The Suites again. After a few emails, they have offered one nights stay in one of their executive suites, and and indicated that renovations are planned for 2018.

I have been to this wonderful place on my own a few times and it is like a sanctuary. I was unsure about going alone but is was the best and so relaxing treatment are amazing so are the team and the food was delicious. Highly recommend to everyone.
