So pluses We always use this hotel as access into Liverpool is easy and the swimming pool is great for the kids Breakfast selection is fantastic as is the bar food. I’ve never eaten in the restaurant in the evening but it always looks busy The staff are always friendly and helpful The rooms are very large with comfy beds Negatives The hotel rooms can do with a bit of a refresh as they are looking a little dated. Repairs in the hotel rooms are noticeably as they never looked like they have been done with care. You get the impression that the fixes could be completed very quickly if the rooms were not always in use I agree with some comments about the sofa beds as it was a shock when we first visited That said this is still a fantastic hotel that we will continue to use for years to come
had a couple of lttle niggls which we took up with reception.but once again we enjoyed our stay here .the suites are all big although we found the bedroom quite dark so had to move a big light in there .had a relaxing sauna and steam room chill out before we had a meal in the restaraunt which was fine then a good evening in the bar , nice breakfast next morning staff were pleasant helpfull cheerfull and a credit to the hotel. no doubt we will be back .standards have slipped a liitle but am sure they will be back to good standard soon.
Stayed over after an evening out. Great value, large suite with breakfast included. Beds very comfortable Easy check in and service excellent. Easily accessed from Liverpool. Very good value. Highly recommended.
After visiting the Suites Spa last year for a work Christmas party, I was excited to visit again with my friends last Sunday for a birthday celebration. The spa was busy on the Sunday - as expected, as the facilities are so lovely and a great offer was on in the lead up to Christmas, so we could only get the slot starting at 2pm for the four of us. We were greeted by friendly staff who informed us afternoon tea would be ordered and ready for us at 3pm. As we only had a few hours in the spa, we were keen to make the most of the facilities so headed down for afternoon tea at ten to 3. Staff were scarce, and we ended up waiting 40 minutes for the food to arrive, and it was at least 20 mins before anyone even asked us if we wanted a drink! This was disappointing, as we had been told the afternoon tea would be ordered and this of course ate in to most of our time at the spa and delayed the day by the time we finished eating. The treatments as usual were lovely, but we could not help feeling quite rushed afterwards, with staff urging us to leave the relaxation area at 5:45pm (which after the delay in afternoon tea we literally only got 20 minutes in). Staff were also stood outside the changing room when we were leaving which is slightly rude when we have paid to enjoy our day at the facilities- we did not expect to be rushed out before 6pm. I understood that this is a Sunday and people want to get home, however it was slightly disappointing after raving about the spa for so long, for this to happen. As I say the treatments and facilities are lovely, and whilst staff are pleasant enough, I was very disappointed this time & would advise anyone against the afternoon spot- particularly on a Sunday.
Four of us stayed here at the weekend. We booked with Super break at an extremely good price. Due to the price it was with some trepidation we arrived on Friday afternoon, however we were really pleased beginning with a warm welcome on check in. The suites are lovely yes they are a little "tired' but am led to believe due to be upgraded in the new year. Only downside surprisingly for a hotel room was chilly. Included in our break was a two course meal in Handleys the hotel restaurant. The choice and presentation was excellent so good we ate there the following night. Our waitress Beth was lovely and very knowledgeable, when we couldn't decide on food choices and wines. I've never before given a member of staff a hug in a restaurant but she truly deserved it she made our weekend!! We'd love to return to Suites Hotel so hope when they get upgraded they don't price us out.
My fiancé booked this Hotel for us for the weekend for my birthday. Everything was fantastic and was definitely one of the best spas that I have been to. We had a full body massage which was incredible and then we had access to the relaxation and thermal suite which finished it off. In the relaxation suite you get to help yourself to free tea and coffee which is just a perfect way to relax after your treatment. The leisure club has a lovely pool steam and sauna and a very hot jacuzzi! We went to this in the evening and it was very quiet so it was nice to relax again. We didn't attend the gym but what we saw of it it looked amazing with a modern kind of look to it. We had breakfast both mornings and the food was tasty, you could have anything from a full English breakfast, breads, croissants, fruit and yoghurt and plenty of fruit juices to choose from. The catering staff were very friendly and happy to help. We stayed in room 511 (executive suite) and it was very roomy with a variety of teas and coffees to choose from. We had a radio/docking station which was nice and a variety of books that had things to do around the surrounding area. The only down fall was that our shower was either red hot or freezing cold which resulted us in having to have baths. Overall we both really enjoyed our time here, perfect spa, leisure facilities, yummy food and the rooms do the job :) the location isn't the best so if you have in mind that Liverpool centre is around 20 minutes away (£17) for a taxi then it won't come to a shock to you when you arrive at the hotel! But definitely recommend this hotel, I had a very good birthday weekend away :)
This hotel isn’t in the best of positions, it’s a little industrial in the surrounding area but once you are in the spa it’s lovely. Had a really relaxing stay. The rooms are quite basic but comfortable. The staff are friendly and the food was good.
Good things about this place: spacious, comfortable, free wifi, great food and impeccable service at the event we attended. Bad things: bathroom needs to be bigger to match the rest of the suite; decorating finish bad, with broken curtain tie and poor grouting etc in the bathroom, plus holes in the wall; shower ran cold for much of the time and actually just stopped altogether mid-shower; no cold water in the bedroom basin; drinking water spout not working; satellite channels not working; lighting poor with one standard lamp not working at all; too few hangers and only one hand towel by each basin. We would have mentioned these things to reception but we were only there one night for an event so there wasn't really time.
Visited this Hotel & Spa on one of their Spa Break packages. All staff really friendly especially the room cleaner who I think her name was Joan? Spa facilities are lovely and treatment was excellent. The only negative was the Jacuzzi - it was filthy - water was that cloudy/dirty there was a scum ring round the edge - such a shame really!!! I would visit again but before booking I would ask them about the jacuzzi
Very comfortable hotel - as the name implies all suites not just rooms. Very large car parking area. Friendly staff. Excellent food. Although on edge of industrial estate and being not exactly close to the city centre, did not detract from an enjoyable weekend. Approach roads very easily accessible.
- Free English breakfast
- Free WiFi in rooms and public areas
- Free parking
