Can't thank the staff enough for a great weekend for 30 Scottish lads, staff couldn't do enough for all of us and the late bar was defiantly a bonus will defiantly be making an appareance in the near future cheers lads
If like myself you travel to Liverpool by train, and then need to get to a suberb of the city . This hotel will suit your needs. It is very clean, the staff very polite and friendly ,and the continental breakfast kept me going for most of the day. When leaving the hotel to get to your intended destination ,walk 2 mins back to the station to get a taxi,or Queens square bus station is only a 5 min walk away. As the hotel is cited in a side street off Lime Street ,it can't be seen from the main road.
my first impression was when I walked up the stairs to the hotel steps were broken, very uninviting room itself had a damp mould patch above the bed, a mouldy patch behind the chair, cracked walls big cracks at that, coffee or tea splashed up the walls by other guests that where not washed down from the leaning staff didn't really want to stay there, kettle was old and yellow, cup I washed under the hot tap had a tea stain at the bottom of the cup, no soap to wash hands after using toilet room 215 single occupancy, or is it that they cannot be bothered for the single traveller, after the dirty cup i did not want to have breakfast at the hotel No window view of Liverpool glazed window like a bathroom so couldn't see outside..LIVERPOOL is a great city to visit walked my legs off.
Me and my husband visited here Friday 16th until Sunday 18th. The hotel is very basic and could do with updating but it's very clean and the rooms are very warm and comfortable, the staff can't do enough for you. The two night porters Jay and Tony made our night. Very friendly with massive personalities. We will definitely be returning.
Great price and very central to the places we wanted to see. Met family who live in Liverpool and they gave us some history on the hotel it’s seen better day but it was clean and the room was good. The staff were very good and helpful and friendly would certainly recommend this hotel as it’s in the Liverpool 1 area.thanks for a pleasant stay.
This hotel is very cheap for a reason. It's horrible. It reminded me of the homeless hostel I used to work in. Awful home printed signs all over the place saying things like; Lift switched off at 9.30; website not working; noisy "offenders" will be removed". There is no double glazing so it's noisy and cold. They don't provide any toiletries and there isn't a phone in the room. The breakfast was totally basic, just cereal, toast, a few pastries and the usual juices etc. The staff were nice but even they were sitting around wearing coats. It's very near Lime Street station.
i booked this hotel for 11/02/18 as it was my partners birthday and we were going for a meal with family in town. We were running late for the meal so my partner nipped in to drop the bags of and collect the key. We got back to the hotel about 11.30 and went straight to bed, The room itself was fine although the bathroom was very cold as it did not have any heating in it. We woke at 9.20am so quickly got ready to go for breakfast as we had not been given any information on breakfast times. We looked for this information in the room but there was none. We got down for breakfast at 09.40 only to find everything had been cleared away. The lady that was tidying round stated that breakfast finished during the week at 09.30 and 10.00 at weekends. This did spoil our stay as we then had to go elsewhere and pay for breakfast. I have never stayed anywhere that does not give its guests this information. The manager was not around when we checked out so I sent a message to him on our return home, I am still awaiting a reply. Not very good customer service.
With 5 kids between us having a childfree night is as rare as rocking horse poop so for an early Valentines treat I whisked my boyfriend and I away for the night, mostly everywhere was booked up and I stumbled across this hotel for a very cheap price including breakfast. Figured it couldn't go wrong as if it was a dump we would have just laughed it off but it was a hidden gem in the centre of Liverpool! A lift to the upper floors, room was large and airy, not much of a view from our room but we were only in it to dump our bags during the day and to sleep at night so this didn't matter at all to us. Room - light, airy, large, clean, huge tv that you get the remote for with your room key, tea and coffee making facilities, book about Liverpool and a bible. Shower room was spotlessly clean, power shower was AMAZING and hard to leave! Bed was SOOOO COMFORTABLE, usually I am an awake and up girl but I could have happily lazed in that bed all day. We were cosy and warm despite it being a very cold snap. Continental breakfast was included and although one of us couldn't leave the comfort of the bed, the other enjoyed the selection of cereals and toast. Would have liked some ham and sliced cheese as this was more just a cereal bar than a true continental breakfast. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Would stay here again with no hesitation :D
on arirval the place looked dirty and run down went inside no better place was cold smell of foust damp the rooms just the same no windows to look out glass was frosted power cuts cold water staff were very freindly and sympathic lift out order due to faulty electric no toasters working coffee cold beer pumps on display but had no beer just bottles this place is just like a run down hostel avoid
For a city centre hotel it was very reasonably priced. It was close to Lime Street station, but I couldn't hear the trains. The room was clean and comfortable. I had a single, but there was more than adequate space for me. The TV was large, but being on a side wall and the only place to sit being the bed, it was a bit close and uncomfortable to watch. The en-suite bathroom was perfectly fine, though being on the 3rd floor, the shower was pretty weak. No toiletries in the shower but that is what I would expect from a budget hotel. Be warned that if you are on the 3rd floor then the lift doesn't go all the way there, it stops at level 2 and you have to use stairs for the last flight. The potential noise comes from the O2 Academy venue which is right next door. My room must have been very close to it as shortly after arrival I could hear what I assume was the band sound checking. Fortunately it was quiet by the time I arrived back from a night out. The hotel staff all seemed very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a help yourself continental style buffet, but it was perfectly adequate. Oh the top corridor by my room was very cold, I guess from a draft under the emergency exit, but the room itself warmed up nicely after switching on the heater and there was a good heater in the bathroom.
