Stayed here for a few nights. Got food the first night, thankfully we got it out of the way as it was absolutely disgusting. Food was overcooked and possibly reheated from day before. Nearly got breakfast included for 8 pounds extra a night, changed mind last minute. Wouldn't want to imagine what the breakfast would have been like! Rooms however were great! Bed was comfortable and tv had several channels. Walls were very thin though so beware! Staff were friendly and was easy to get to Albert dock. Would return but wouldn't touch the food!
Stayed here as a base as it's a very short walk to the Peaky Blinders Bar, Albert Docks and City shops, bars and eateries. Abosutley fantastic staff. Very friendly and helpful. Didn't have breakfast here so don't know what it was like but had evening means on a few occasions and they were great. Good choice of food for the size of hotel. Had a double room which was very clean and a decent size for a couple. Might be a bit cramped if bringing a child even though the room had a single "bunk" bed in it. Overall great stay. Nice views of the river and docks. Would definitely stay here again
Ideal location/ car park and a lovely view of the old reclaimed dock area from the hotel. Reception staff were extremely helpful and polite and always willing to make your stay stress free, plus the booking in system was straight forward.
Ground floor room on river was a wee bit cold. Apart from that it was excellent. We would defo recommend this hotel. Food was good, hotel was quiet and clean. Not far from centre aswell which was a bonus
We came here for a couple of nights for a short break. The hotel is in a great location for the city and the waterfront, about 15 minute walk away. We even managed to walk to Anfield Stadium for the tour, although this did take about an hour and 10 minutes. The hotel has a nice small bar and restaurant area, well priced, not rip off like some hotels, although it is basic. Room was small but comfortable, with single bed over the top of the double. To sum up, this is an affordable hotel in a great location with a nice reasonably priced bar and restaurant, with friendly staff and on site free parking
Stayed at the Dolby for three night clean tidy staff very helpful room a bit small but you pay for what you get but no problems with hotel food very very good plus a good price drinks very good price as well nice and handy for centre plus not to far to walk to city centre plus most of all free parking
The Dolby hotel was in a great location. Within walking distance of shops, bars and restaurants - about 10 minute walk to Albert Dock. The hotel was room was basic. It had a kettle, tv, hairdryer and small en suite. The bed was very comfy! Free parking was so handy too! Would highly recommend! Only little niggle would be that when you flushed the toilet in our room (room 102), it made the most horrendous loud noise for like almost 5 minutes. It was pretty annoying, but wouldn't knock a star off for it. It definitely does need addressing though!
Had a lovely overnight stay at the Dolby hotel , the car parking facilities were brilliant free parking and only 5 minute walk to Albert Dock and 10 minute walk to the city centre. The hotel itself , the staff on reception were lovely and polite and even texted us to see what time we would arrive approximately, the room was lovely and warm not too hot and very clean and welcoming after a long day walking around Liverpool , we had a nightcap in the bar and it was very reasonably priced , we also had breakfast in the morning which was very good quality and lovely coffee , we were able to leave the car there till midnight on checkout day which we found very useful because we were able to finish of sightseeing, we called in again for coffee before we left Liverpool for home , overall we had a fantastic stay and so ready planning our next visit , Thankyou to all the staff at the Dolby for a wonderful day
Good hotel with lovely lounge/dining area overlooking Queen's docks. Free parking on site. Free internet. Lovely evening meal and a really good breakfast in the bar/lounge. Great coffee. All reasonably priced. Room was smaller than expected but overlooked the docks, so nice and quiet, nice and warm too. Only downside was bathroom very small and shower water gets everywhere so have to be very careful when getting out as floor is slippery and no bath mat was supplied, also a step up into bathroom, which could prove hazardous for some? A good walk into Liverpool One which was ok for us but not for people who can't walk far. All in all though a good hotel!
Me and my wife stayed here as a late anniversary the hotel was found to be nice and clean with really helpful and friendly staff , the breakfasts were really nice we also ate here one night the food was hot , tasty and on our table in less than 15 mins also good value for money , beer prices were good as well , The only thing which disappointed was the room size (but you get what you pay for) plus there was no lift and as my wife uses a crutch we found this slightly awkward but other than that I would deffo recommend this hotel to anyone , we will deffo be back !
