The hotel is an older hotel, which is not a big deal and the rooms have been recently remodeled (within past 10 years maybe) however the entire hotel smells like pot. The rooms smell even worse, while it's supposed to be a non-smoking room it's apparent that this is not the case.

We paid to upgrade our room when we got there & then the fort night the sink starting spitting up black ashy water taht stunk horribly. So they switched us rooms and we just decided to downgrade our room cause we didn’t care about paying $15 extra a night for a fridge (that was literally the only difference). The staff was rude about the situation and we got the run around from them when in reality we should’ve spoke to one person & they should’ve helped us out. The first person I spoke to was on the phone and she hung up on me. Then we went down stairs to The front desk, waited about 15 min in line, then the gal acted like we were the most inconvenient thing ever. Then we had to go verify with security. Anyway, it was real annoying. Will not stay here again!

The room had not been updated in a while. Internet was 1 mbp. The tv would revert back to the main menu on a regular basis without prompting. And I found a nice, long dark hair on my bed.

Pros: Excellent location, clean comfy rooms Cons: Not much amenities. No microwave, no coffee maker, slow wifi (need to pay for faster access), not much free channel provided in TV

nice hotel, decent location, good amenities and attractions

Dated but nice rooms. We had extremely noisy and rude neighbors and security responded immediately.

Great value for the price of the airfare and hotel package

Our bathroom light didn’t work, so we literally had to get dressed and shower in the dark. We booked non smoking but it still reeked of smoke. And room service was down and not available during our stay.

Enoying housekeeping stuff. Pay extra $ for better room and room was not is good like we’re being told.

The 8th floor pool was the only part of this hotel I enjoyed. The mall / tower area is very kitschy and made me feel like I was in some kind of nightmarish casino ghost-town. The casino is not well ventilated. I could smell smoke from the casino in my room on the 18th floor. To make matters worse, guests feel free to smoke in elevators. The really bad part about Stratosphere is the management censors content in the main areas. You will notice all news televisions set to Fox News. If you ask to change the channel, they can change sports channels for you, but you are not allowed to view CNN or other news stations besides Fox. I do not appreciate the management's belief systems being forced upon paying customers. I will much avoid these properties in the future.

the upgraded rooms have no where to sit, and that foot rest for a chair is a horrible choice for a chair. No table to sit at, and the HARD bench was a waste of space.

I did not like the fact there is no coffe pot or microwave in the room

It's an ok hotel for the price. It's a good little walk to either Fremont St or the rest of the hotels on the strip. The buffet is pretty good. If you are on a budget this is the perfect hotel for you.
