Absolutely beautiful property! The staff and the amenities were excellent and we’ll definitely be back!

This hotel was very nice. The only glaring flaw was the noise transfer between rooms. You could literally hear conversations at normal levels in the room next door. We had a couple of children next door and we were up at 6:00 am when the little darlings hit the floor.

The handicapped bathroom is wheelchair accessible but the design isn’t good because the whole floor will be wet and literally flooded and we have to ask housekeeping to mop the floor after use each time. This creates high fall risk.

Everyone was extremely nice and helpful and our stay was great.

Great rooms, central location. The hot tubs were under construction and I didn't know that when booking. They gave access to neighboring sister hotel though.

Perfect location. We were there for skiing and the gondola was right at the front door. Unfortunately the ski valet was not the best. The only that the skis.

Everything and Everyone was perfect ! Friendly, professional, helpful and the property sparkled. The food and service at fire and ice were stellar !

There are plenty of kid activities for them to entertain themselves in.

Nice enough room, but a long walk to get there from the lobby! SUPER comfy bed and pillows. Valet upon checkin wasn't overly friendly/welcoming.

Location was great! Perfect and easy to just get up and walk around heavenly village. Timber lodge had activities everyday for hotel guests. I really enjoyed staying here

Beautiful rooms, nice pool. Some of the front desk staff is over their job, you can tell. Some are friendly. Our battery key lock went dead and we were stuck in the hallway for 1 hour till they sent someone to fix it. Other then that, we had a nice stay. Our experience was fair to good. But not excellent.

I booked Marriott timber lounge since I stayed in Marriott Grand Residency last time and liked it a lot. The room which was given to us was smelling cigarette smell in it and we were told that this is a smoke free property (We had an infant with us). We were then moved to a room which had a smaller sofa bed in it but a better condition. We also found out that the rooms which are booked directly through their site are different than what we get on booking through Orbitz/Expedia etc. Weird!!

The Marriott Timber Lodge is a fine resort but service was lacking. Prior to arrival, I received an email stating that if my family arrived early we may have to wait for a room but that we could use the swimming pool & other facilities. I asked for the pass, and it turned out I received shopping discount cards not a pass for facilities (rude surprise trying to get back in the hotel). At check-in, the clerk did not explain whether the room would be serviced (it costs extra for owners & time-share bookers, not those who book through Orbitz). At arrival I went to both front desk and concierge; neither one pro-actively gave me a list of resort activities. There were 2 separate visits to the concierge where I asked for help with alternative restaurant reservations; I did not get a follow-up call (so I should have stayed and watched them call I guess.). I booked 2 adjoining rooms, which were comfortable and nicely appointed. One was missing a hair dryer (although there was an empty bag for the hairdryer). I asked at reception for one to be sent to the room, but that was never done. In four visits to the reception desk, 3 times the clerk had a "bear with me I'm a trainee" ribbon on (which is fine in general, but bothersome how few were not trainees). "Late checkout" was 11:30am, but seemed like for Gold member it could have been later.

Mostly, I would’t have booked our stay here had I realized we’d be hounded by timeshare salesman, disguised as “our personal concierge”. Vacation is for vacationing...not sitting for over two hours listening to a sales pitch...especially one I have ZERO interest in. I eventually took our phone off the hook, then they had the audacity to get my cell number from the front desk. Wrong on many levels. The walls are paper thin, so if you have a rowdy set of neighbors you’re SOL. The shower, at least in our room, leaked all over the floor, soaking the matt and the rest of the floor. The water was either ice cold or scalding. It never equalized and we had to continually adjust it. The room was nice, spacious and the kitchen well equipped. But it was uncomfortable. The bed was lumpy and the sofa and chair, in the living room, were too uncomfortable to sit on. Now for the good! You literally walk out the door and get on the Gondola. The hotel has a ski valet area, you just pick up your gear and go! There isn’t another location with this kind of proximity to the slopes. There’s great dining, shopping and groceries, all within a short walking distance. Overall, I would recommend this location, but it needs a few fixes.

Nice hotel but we are too far from the main lobby. We feel at home. My daugther enjoyed the jacuzzi.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for our 6th month wedding anniversary. We wanted somewhere a bit more upscale and conveniently located near The Heavenly Gondola. We were really excited to stay at the hotel. But after so many issues with our hotel room and horrible attitude from so many staff members, we're likely not to stay at this hotel again. We booked a standard, one bedroom villa 6 weeks prior to our stay. Upon check in, we were put into a handicapped version of the room. While I understand the room is somewhat similar with respect to fireplace, jacuzzi tub, separate bedroom, it is not what we booked or paid nearly $300 a night for. It took 5 hours of back and forth with the hotel for them to tell us they could move us, then couldn't move us, then couldn't move us because they had more preferred timeshare holders who were given priority for those rooms. When we told them this was unacceptable, they told us we were welcome to check out of the hotel with no penalty. How's that for customer service?!? They gave us a $50 gift card credit which they said could be applied to the hotel restaurant...however, after eating dinner there, the restaurant told us they couldn't accept because it wasn't affiliated with the hotel. Anytime we asked for help from the bell staff to assist with luggage, they acted as if we were personally inconveniencing them. Sighs, "I guess", and "Yea, we can help - we're just super busy right now" were common replies. NOT OK, STILL UNACCEPTABLE.

Nothing special. The hotel is old. The apartments next door are in better condition.

excellent for family vacationers! super friendly staff, and in house activities for a rainy day
