Honestly the rooms here are straight Motel 6 status. Definitely need some TLC nothing at all to sing praises about. Floor was filthy! Was extremely disappointed. I can see that the high ratings were because of their ‘Beer Garden’-or in other words their outdoor area where they have 2 fire pits (that were being used the entire time) and some picnic tables and shuffle board. I guess it would be fun for a different kind of crowd but unfortunately did not get to use it at all because each fire pit was full every time we checked. Great location if you’re there for the casinos which we weren’t but still centrally located which was nice. The staff was friendly enough, nothing extraordinary. King sized bed seemed smaller than normal king sized beds which was odd but comfy enough. The street outside our room smelt like sewage. With everything said & done not terrible but by no means great, we weren’t impressed & probably won’t be coming back ever.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The room was very nice and seemed newly updated. It was very hot during our stay and with no air conditioning it got somewhat miserable at night but we had a balcony so we just opened the slider to let air in. Otherwise you couldn't beat the price and the location.

Overall very good location to stay. The service, area, and staff were excellent. We came at a bad time considering a very problematic car show that used the hotel as a parking lot and hangout area.

The vibe of this place is awesome! It's big, and spread out. There are lots of cool spaces, like the lobby and on-site brewery. The rooms have this very cool feel to them as well. I've only ever stayed in the winter, but I can imagine it's quite the playground in the summer!

Not good value for families coming to skii. The walls are super thin. I read people’s reviews on thin walls for other hotels all the time, but this is the first time I feel it. I consider that to be pretty bad. Parking lot is difficult to maneuver. The room is very tight. Bathroom fan too loud.

Awesome stay. We loved the on site beer garden and Lawn games. Family had great time at karaoke night. Would definite stay again next time in area.

Room was as described and did not disappoint. Location is excellent being right next to stateline and across from the Heavenly gondola. The included breakfast was simple, but acceptable enough to allow us to skip eating breakfast at a restaurant, which saved our group $100. The only real con is everything shuts down at 10 (hot tubs, beer garden, outdoor fire) which seems very early for a motel right next to a casino that never sleeps.

Walking distance to everything. Love the fire pits and dog friendly.

Nice hotel, need a few more space heaters out by pub

I expected more from this hotel. I found the cleanliness in the room, the comfort of the bed, and the breakfast options to be lacking. I found a woman's earring by the nightstand and the room had only one hand towel and washcloth (double queen room which should hold 4 people). Breakfast was a disappointment: only bread, oatmeal, coffee and waffles were offered. That said, the common areas were fantastic. We enjoyed the fire pits, ping pong, and rooftop hot tub. It was the perfect place to unwind after a busy day hiking.

No air conditioning and the pictures of the hotel on the website are very deceiving.

This is at best a two star hotel. The hotel is old and the bathroom is too small. Not a good hotel for families with kids.

They accommodated my needs well, great place to stay.

Love the rooms in this hotel !! Good cabin vibes and very chill, got a nice beer garden area, staff was kinda rude when I checked in, but no big deal, saw they were selling fresh air hats and asked how much? and the lady at check in just rolled there eyes haha guess they dont like tourist.

This hotel is very poorly rated, it is certainly not worth the price displayed. To solve your problems you really have to fight. We spent 3 days not good at all. Strongly discouraged. 1-The price difference between the reservation and the price announces the day of check-in (70 dolar per night) to have what I wanted I spend an hour anyway !! . 2-Free WI-FI ... it's a lie !! you have and you will never have WI-FI in this hotel..when you arrive there you should sign a paper that some hours the WI-FI would not work following a high number of user saying that c is everywhere the same. it is wrong, you connect to the network, but can not open a page on the internet due to a very very low debit. in three days never open a page on the web! 3- The remote control of the TV has never worked.3 days the same channel, the same program. 4- The room is redone around 5-6 o'clock in the afternoon, never before! We ran behind the maid for 3 days to clean our room. 5-Last day, at breakfast no bread and no eggs !! they had just removed the toast saying that there is no bread and they do not know when it will be delivered! and after the discontent they brought frozen bread, impossible to separate the slices! And finally, although at the check-in I announced that I would pay the bill in cash, at the time of check out I pay the bill in cash and they announce that they have debited the credit card and that the refund will take 5 -6 days 6-Very small room This hotel is probably not worth the ad price

A clean, pleasant hotel with a few unexpected treats: In-room fireplace, several outdoor gas fire pits with nice seating in the courtyard, ping pong, cornhole, and an onsite mini brewery. We were quite happy with our stay, and will likely stay here again.

Excellent location, walking distance to the gondola even if you are wearing ski boots. Nightlife in the neighborhood, the casinos are literally right across the street. They have a bar ("beer garden") that I only saw at breakfast time. Very light breakfast (cereal, waffles, toast) available. Which is fine, but there aren't many breakfast areas around. Me, I would at least have some breakfast burritos available (and there were times I would have paid any price, believe me). I love the decor; modern with ironic twists on outdoorsy themes. Should appeal to millenneals, price is definitely right. Parking lot is a little tight but OK if you have a compact car (and you don't need a car at all from this location anyway). The gas heater works like an absolute charm. Staff is very laid back and friendly. Very satisfied with my stay, would definitely come back.

Hi John, thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review from your recent stay. It's unfortunate that your visit came at the same time as the car show, as this event was supposed to be cancelled and it appears everyone came anyway. The town of South Lake is just as disappointed in the behavior of these event guests as we are and I'm sorry that it interfered with your otherwise enjoyable visit. We hope you'll come visit us again when events like these aren't taking place!
