The hotel was better than advertised. The room was large and accommodating for us and the free breakfast was unexpected but great. They had more than the typical free breakfast fare. Sausage/egg/cheese or egg/cheese with your choice of toast, muffin, or bagel. The folks at the front were not overly friendly (which to us is what kept it from being excellent), but it is what it is. We would most definitely recommend it and will use it again. The only other issue is, it would have been nice to know that the only parking they have is a country block away and cost an additional $16 per day, just would have been nice to know when were looking at hotels. Journal Square station is not terribly far from the hotel which makes it extremely convenient to get on the train and take the short 20 min ride into the City.

It's a nice hotel. It is old though. The rooms are very big! There aren't many hotel options in the area and it is affordable. There is a parking garage down the street and out door lot half a block away. Wish hotel had parking. Food options are close but mostly Indian food

Use Google street-view to "drive" around the block before your book your reservation.

the room was a bit old but wery clean. There where two separate rooms for 1 king and one queen bed. It was very nice surprize, because i've booked just a room with two beds. easy to get to Path to nyc. good continental breakfast

Disgusting. Front desk disgusting, Breakfast disgusting, the place is overall disgusting.

In town for business and location was convenient near Path Train. The staff was friendly and the room was decent for the Price

Close to train/metro station very convenious ti visit NY. Nice, Clean, great location low cost money

located in a convenient location, near metro station. No parking, but the public parking is just a block away, within 5 minutes walk Breakfast is good, and free Overall good for the price.

The check in staff was terrible. There was no shuttle as advertised. The room was the worst.

Hotel is only 2 blocks from Path station making access to NYC very easy. Parking is only a block away at only $12/Day. Breakfast was adequate, Room was large with sofa bed microwave and refridgerator. Overall it was exactly what we were looking for, easy to find, reasonable price, available parking and access to NYC trains. I will try to book this hotel again for future trips to NYC.

This hotel delivered on price and location in a big way. The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean. If you're looking for a budget friendly clean place to stay that gets you into the city quickly this is the place.

Clean rooms, great staff, offsite parking was staffed 24 hours, located one block from PATH station with round the clock service. We will definitely be staying here again on future trips to New York or New Jersey cities.

Surprisingly it's a nice hotel with great staff. Room was hugeeee and clean. Just location of the hotel isn't perfect. Had some saving through the website. Overall satisfied.............

I was looking to save money and I did, especially with using my Orbucks. Hotel turned out better than I thought it would, especially with it being very quiet. The Journal Square PATH train is a 6 minute walk away and $2.50 and 20+ minutes gets you into Manhatten. A "Little India", just 3 blocks to the north, was a very pleasant surprise. Looking for an inexpensive, clean and quiet hotel in Jersey City, this is it.

It was pretty nice however our room was right at the entrance across from the front desk. We heard everyone talking all night and vacuuming at 7 in the morning. There was no parking either.
