Our family booked this room 10 days prior to our stay. We got here and they couldn't find our reservation here, or at any of their other properties, but yet took our payment. After they finally got us into a room, we checked in, went to dinner, came back with exhausted kids ready for bed. The whole hallway and room smells like vomit! Get to our room which is 2 full beds and a sofa bed that makes into a full bed. All which were needed with 2 adults and 3 kids. There was no bedding or pillows at all for the sofa bed. We had to wait forever at the front desk to get any, then as we fold the sofa bed out, it's yellow with black spots all over it! So, all 3 kids are piled into one bed now. We called down to the office when we realized that for 5 people, we had 4 towels and 2 wash clothes. They said they could only give me more if I brought the dirty ones back down to the lobby. I took the dirty ones back down and again, waited forever to exchange them. It's now 1 am. We are beyond exhausted after our long travel today and feel like we need to sleep with our clothes on. If it wasn't so late, we'd go somewhere else. Don't waste your money! This would get zero stars if I were able.
I just want to say that I love this place. Rooms are clean and spacious. The staff is amazing. But the Best part of the entire stay is the manager Latisha she is a Dream. I would say best place to stay.
My husband and I recently stayed at the Extended Stay America on Lenoir Avenue South in Jacksonville Florida. To say the least it was two of the most horrific weeks of my life. The day after check in a couch was delivered to our room while we were out. When it was delivered someone went through my medications and stole a bottle of Ativan. We reported it to the front office and we were contacted by corporate who offered to give us a few days free on our next visit. Seriously, that’s the best you can do, why not give us a rebate on the present stay. Upon registering we requested a few kitchen items. We were told we would have to wait until tomorrow as they did not have any that were clean at the time. When we went to the front desk the next day to obtain our items I was quite taken aback. We received two pots without lids and broken handles and the inner bottoms were chipped, two dinner plates that were both cracked, two forks, two knives, no spoons. The stove in the unit had rusted burners and only two of them worked correctly. The oven worked, but the broiler did not. The exhaust fan did not work. The refrigerator worked, however, the freezer did not. The bathroom was a petri dish. There was soap left from the previous tenant that housekeeping never cleaned. Actually, they never cleaned the bathroom. There was a mold rim in the toilet, and mold in the tub. The shower walls were stained with grime and the floor was extremely dirty. When it was brought to the attention of housekeeping, they said they would get to it, which they did not get to during the two weeks we were there. We informed the front desk that there was no smoke detector in the room and nothing was done. The laundry room was a joke. After a week and a half of the same cloths being left in the large washer, I notified the front desk that the items had been in there for that length of time and they were beginning to smell and turn moldy. Her reply was priceless, “Why are you telling me, do you want to use it.” One of the dryers did not work, when reported and asked for a refund I was told it was just fixed and it was working. No refund was given. The side door key access did not work and guests were constantly putting sticks and rocks in the door to keep it open, so they could go out and smoke. The door was constantly open for anyone to walk in. Both my husband and I came down with repertory and bronchial infections that landed us in Urgent Care and loss of work. We feel that some remuneration should have been made for such a horrible experience and that corporate should take a serious look at this location and clean it up or close it down, but I never even received a response to this letter.
I hated it and everything about it I was about to just sleep in my car I was so disgusted so I slept on a towel on top of the bed and refused too take a shower I made reservations at another hotel and waited till morning too her the hell out I was supposed too stay Friday to Monday nope stayed one night! The hotel carpet in the hall smelt like yrs of shampooing the elevator looked terrible they keep all the kitchen supplies so you have too ask for everything instead of it being in the room. The pictures explain phone no cord?!, seaweed wall paint, dirty ironing board, 1920s stove, limbo fridge whos idea for this stupid ass placemenh, remote no back, scum on tub nozzle, mildew in air unit mind u did not properly work, so disgusted I didn't want my feet too touch the bottom of the tub I put a towel and still refused too shower here and last sticky ass floor......yuuuuuuccckk!
Awful, disgusting rooms. Foul smell as soon as you enter the hotel lobby. It is obvious that they haven’t cleaned the rugs or the hotel for a very long time. We had a very horrible experience staying at this hotel. Attempted to not stay there BUT unfortunately it was St Patrick’s weekend and all for the hotels EVERYWHERE were booked. It was a nightmare!! Very rude receptionist and she was on her phone FaceTiming while trying to check in. She did an over charge mistake that caused my mini vacation to be ruined!! I had to go to Walmart to buy Clorox and detergents to at least make sure that my family and I could take showers in a clean bathroom. Had to buy sleeping bags to sleep on the nasty floors because the bed a stain and the sofa bed had a vomit like stain. I don’t understand why this hotel is even open to the public. I HAD to give it a one star but I consider this facility a -5 star hotel.
I've been here over a week now. Very spacious & clean rooms. Has one of the lowest ESA rates around. & love the friendly staff! Great location & a bunch of food places nearby for your convenience! Worth every bit of your money!!
Clean, low rates, and friendly staff. Would stay here again and again. Hotel is located in great location - close to mall. The rooms are very clean and have a fresh scent, no worries about having that stink cigarette smell from many hotels. I didn’t have any issues with cleanliness at this hotel. Two thumbs up
I called to say I was coming and would be late, they rented my room so I had to take a smaller one. I was working a table at a fair for our nonprofit and getting in late, hoping to sleep in. Every AM, at 8, there was a plumber outside my window and their boom beep-beeped constantly (as in truck backing up beeping). I got no rest. Then, I went to take a shower to get ready to report for duty in the afternoon and the water was shut off! They asked me to go to another hotel to shower (think, you're getting ready for work and have to go to a neighbors to shower without notice!) I moved to the other hotel. I checked in and they swiped my card. I was working until 11PM and needed to rest in the mornings, I am also disabled. They came knocking at my door 2 days later demanding I come down and give them a card for payment! I said I was trying to rest, I'll come down in a little bit, no, they wanted me down at the front desk NOW. I closed the door on her, they started calling my room! I was furious. I called their customer care department and packed up and left and went to the Marriott across the street for the last 2 nights of my stay and FINALLY got some good rest! NEVER, EVER will I stay at one of these dumps with these obnoxious, unfriendly people. AND, if you're disabled, there are no automatic doors and you have fun trying to get your luggage in between 2 CLOSE sets of manually opened doors! And no one from their staff will bother to help. Worst people, worst hotel ever. You get what you pay for!
The hotel has bugs and it’s not worth the money, staff is friendly but I’ll never come back here again! They really do need to truly clean their rooms! I saw one and disregarded it biggest mistake ever! When night came it was a full attack. It’s not worth your hard earned money if they can’t keep this many bugs down there’s no excuse!
