My name is Marcus Casey. Right now my job is valet and bellman at the Gaylord Hotel. And you guys where great. Thanks my main goal is to be a famous actor. And for the 1st time in my life you guys made me feel like I was that famous person. If any of you guys are in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area please say hi. Had fun and it was great. Will be back very soon.
just add $30/nt parking to your daily room rate and see if you think it is still a good deal. it isn't. you wait forever for your vehicle.
Quick weekend in Houston. Nice hotel. Walked across to Galleria.
One of the best hotel and services I have had. Thanks for everything JW Marriott.
Very good location and serves I recommend this hotel to friend
The facility was undergoing renovations but the staff never warned me there would be a substantial amount of noise upon check in. There was NONSTOP drilling from About 10 am to 2 pm. The wall was shaking and it sounded like a train was above my head. I called the front desk to inquire about the noise and was told there was nothing they could do about it despite the fact she could hear the noise through the phone . I wasn't looking to be compensated but I would have liked for them to have done a better job addressing my concern.
At less than $150 a night I enjoyed a practically private indoor and out door pool, between retreats to my plain but clean room. There were some high end details missing such as marble baths and I found a stain on sheet, but the staff was great. The restaurant food was kinda eh, but the waitresses were quite nice and they have a starbucks in the lobby. I would stay there again.
The staff did not disappoint. They were very professional, knowledgable and friendly. My room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel was secure, clean and modern. Will certainly stay there on my next visit to Houston.
Parking was free which was awesome plus they had cookies!
We were placed on the 4th floor, where the 5th floor houses the hotel's health club and pool and the 3rd floor houses the basketball and racquetball courts. What a insanely stupid design!!! We were kept up the entire nights with what sounded like bowling balls hitting our walls. Then the mattresses was so disgusting. It wasn't very comfortable so we lifted the sheets to examine it and oh boy, what a disgusting mattress. It looked like they picked it off the side of a road, ripped and dingy looking. YUCK! Made my skin crawl. For the price we paid, you would think wi-fi should be included but NOPE. We also stayed at the Driskill in Austin and Sheraton (near the JW) and both were far better, including free wi-fi.
Wonderful staff! Very friendly and professional.Awesome appetizers/food for Marriott Award members.Awesome location. It's in the middle of Houston. Not far from most things.
We enjoyed our overnight stay. Room was clean and had some nice amenities. Hotel was nice and had an interesting pool area. Work out room was amazing. Top notch!
The hotel was very nice and was very clean. I didn't notice a mold/mildew smell like I frequently do in hotels. We really enjoyed our stay. The proximity to the Galleria mall was nice so that we could run over for dinner without having to fight the traffic (which is horrible, especially on Friday evenings in the rain). The only thing I thought was odd was the pool. The pool/hot tub/exercise facility area were all very nice and very clean for the most part. The pool, however, had this weird (cheap?) vinyl lining-almost like they rolled it off a roll of flooring. It was textured and there was algae built up on the ridges and in the crevices by the stairs. The covering on the top step was bulging and bubbling, I can easily see someone tripping. Also, the indoor/outdoor pool was cool, but the flap blocking the airflow from the outside in was kind of ghetto looking for this hotel. Overall, we had a great stay, the hotel was quiet and clean. We would stay again.
Had a wonderful stay visiting my daughter. Basicallly stuck around the mall and the pool so this place was perfect only bad complaint was that I got stuck in a corner room which is usually a goo thing but this time I could hear every elevator coming up and down, otherwise the staff was the friendlist staff I have seen in awhile Big Thumbs up to the Staff Keep em!!!
We wanted a good hotel near the Berkeley Eye Center and near The Gallery....... ¡And we got it! Service was very good and the four stars are well deserved. Hernán González, México
Clean, courteous, maid did fantastic job. Would definitely go back again.
Excellent location across the street from the Galleria. Very professional staff, quick check in. Good size rooms and bath room. Enough parking space. Internet service is expensive.
My husband and I stayed at the JW Marriott for one night. It was a quick trip but we definitely enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.
I recently went there for a wedding and honestly for the price i was paying the hotel stay wasnt that great. The towels in the bathroom wasn't washed properly. when i went to wipe the detergant was still on the towel. I had to take another shower.
The accessible room was perfect. The bathroom was very roomy with a roll in shower, sturdy bench and removable shower head. The self parking was easy with handicap spots next to the elevator. We had a fantastic experience. The valet staff were very helpful even though we didn't use them.
