One block away from Kalākaua behind the Hyatt. It’ll get a tad bit noisy depending on where your room faces but bring some ear plugs and you’ll be fine. The staff were seriously one of the nicest I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. The free coffee and laundry made the entire stay well worth it.

This was my fourth time staying here. The location is perfect. The accommodations are pretty basic but clean and in working order. I only really need a safe and clean space while I’m in Waikiki so Stay Hotel works perfectly for my needs. The staff is always super friendly and accommodating. I’m already looking forward to my next trip!

Location and price are 5 star worthy. You are getting what you pay for, though. Room is fair. Bathroom is mediocre, except for the shower, which is pretty bad. Hot water takes 5 minutes to come on in the morning. The shower head is too low and puts out very little pressure. I would have still rated the hotel 4/5, but for the mold in the shower. It’s all over the tiles and grout. I was literally able to wipe and scrape it off with my finger. This is inexcusable. Very poorly cleaned. Room 502 if the hotel is interested in fixing these issues.

We switched hotels halfway through our trip, first time here at the Stay Hotel. Very clean room, simple but pretty spacious! Affordable too and close to walking around Waikiki. My only complaint is the AC was not strong enough. It is a small window unit and our room was facing where the sun glares all day. It wasn’t even that hot out, like 78 degrees and the room was barely cool. I can’t imagine how it is in the summer though if it got that hot.
