Its clean. But area is very big and has an atmosphere of overcrowded. If a situation happens you cannot easily get someone to help out. Door locks are not charged and a staff so busy attending to incoming guests does not want to take responsibility of holding luggages in the bell counter for a few minutes during my check out while I go back up to help my family carry out some stuff.
Family of 4 stayed in a 1bed suite which city view in April 2022. Not following why the soaking tub was in the bedroom but otherwise accommodations was adequate, clean and updated. Kitchen was fully appointed so I was able to cook several meals and the dishwasher and in suite laundry worked well. Rooms were serviced only once during the week so we placed numerous calls to housekeeping and they were always prompt in responding to our requests. The balcony was not my favorite place because of the noise but the husband and kids didn't mind using it. I would have preferred an ocean view but not sure if the noise factor would have been better. My main gripe was that there were supposed to be "cultural" and other activities provided, hence the resort fee. Its disappointing that nothing was offered during our stay. We have visited Oahu several times and always stayed at the Disney resort on the west side. With the kids being older we thought we'd give Waikiki a try but the Hilton resort left us wanting more for the price we paid. Really great beach is a good 10 minute walk from the tower we stayed in. Hotel provides beach towels. Surpringly the hotel pool closes at 6pm! The location is great if your goal is stay where you can explore Waikiki on foot and if you only need a base to sleep, this is the place (albeit overpriced). Even though the kids are older if we visit Oahu again we'll stay at the Disney resort since we always rent a car.
Beautiful clean property with friendly people
Property was great
Beautiful property and great rooms. My family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed the stay and it’s great for kids. The shallow lagoon for swimming and activities is an added bonus. Would definitely stay again.
Everything was pretty good except water slides for kids didn’t work and there are no good restaurants on the site. No place for breakfast or quick lunch. For dinner you can go to different places. Everything is significantly overpriced.
Right by the beach. Conveniently located. Lots to explore.
We loved our stay, the beach so clean and the staff was wonderful!!!
Our one bedroom partial ocean side suite was amazing. The room was a perfect size for theee people. Even had a full kitchen and washer dryer. It feels like home. The staff was friendly. Always greeeted us. My only complaint was the pool was cold.
Pros: Located on the beach Nice swimming pools Close to alamoana mall Plenty of activities Very clean and spacious rooms Nice bedding Cons Four or five buildings share the facilities Water of the pool not very warm Very crowded hotub Not lifeguards on the beach ( a jellyfish got me and I had to go and find the lifeguards at the pool) No restaurants on the beach Partial ocean views meant also facing North, not fun to use the balcony. Expensive restaurants
Folks, this hotel is amazing place to stay if you plan to visit the wikikai area. The rooms are always top of the line and always clean. They hotel makes you feel like you are part of the elite class. And thats kind of where the problem is. The prices, holds and hidden fees. Now every resort from Hawaii to Las Vegas has resort charges. Expect to pay anywhwere from 35-45 a day with the Grand Wikikiann. PLUS, atleast. 300 dollar deposit. Plus 40 bucks for parking a night, plus 45 dollars for renting an umbrella for the beach, plus 20 for a lounge chair. I can go on and on. The restaurants around the hotels are amazing, but again your looking at a minimum 120 bucks for breakfast, lunch and dinner for a party of 3. expect to pay atleast 1,000 bucks a week minimum while staying in this area. Again, the hotel itself is gorgeous and the rooms offer a full kitchen which you can use to cook your breakfast and lunch so that you are not spending as much throughout the day. So the hotel and rooms are great. It has a private pool which is the best in the area, and the lounge chairs around the pool are free. Complimentary water bottles upon check in and free towel services. Overall, nice resort to stay at. Just be advised of the resort fees and deposit so your not caught off guard in check in.
The suite was spacious, well-stocked, and very clean. Housekeeping kept it clean and stocked, and even did our dishes! Our view from the two balconies was gorgeous. We enjoyed our time here so much that we didn't want to leave.
The hotel was nice, great location and ability to hang out at the pool for registered hotel guests or to head to the public beach which was right outside the hotel property. It all runs together so it's hard to tell when you're at the hotel property or the public beach. This made the beach seem like a part of the hotel. Great places to eat and catch a drink. Nice to be able to catch a catamaran sail right from the beach as well. You really could spend several days at the resort and never need a car. We did take day trips to diamond head mountain, pearl harbor and a luau so having a car was nice. However, it's $47/day just to park your car at the hotel and then add another $31 for a daily resort fee and after a week you have another $570 of resort cost. Just be prepared for that.
Fantastic all round!! Great location, great facilities and awesome place!
The room was wonderful. It made you feel like you were coming home. The washer and dryer were great and I loved the movie rentals. Great hotel
We just returned from a seven night stay at The Grand Waikikian. We had a very nice stay. Check in was a breeze Our room was very nice. Just as pictured. I would say the partial ocean view, doesn't give much of a view. If you lean over the balcony and look left you can see the ocean between two buildings. But that was about it. The maid service was really good. Told her the first day that we wanted an early service as we are normally out from the early morning to early afternoon. Tipped her a few dollars and after that the service was the same time each day no problem. The full kitchen and washer/dryer were also very handy. Ice Maker in the freezer made a ton of ice. It is a big resort and there is a lot of walking. Everything is overpriced. The Luau at the resort was ok. I think it was two hours long total and it was planned out to the minute. Check out is at ten so we booked an extra day since our flight was at midnight. That was a good decision. Most of the pools also don't get sun light very early as they are blocked by the various towers. I have stayed here three times now and have always enjoyed my stay.
IT'S GOOD SIZE ROOMS FOR FAMILY TRIP AND SERVICE WAS GOOD BUT TOO MANY GUESTS FOR SWIMMING POOL DURING WEEKEND.
