We stayed her on June 27th for 1 nigh and must say that everything was excellent from arriving at reception to leaving on Sunday. We only paid for continental breakfast but my husband asked if it was possible to upgrade to full english this was immediately done by a very pleasant young man who was taking your room numbers (I did not get his name). The room had everything you required with a lovely wet room type of shower. We will certainly stay here again if we come to Liverpool. There is also plenty of on site parking. If you dont want to eat in the restaurant there is a put nextg door which does lovoely meals including a carvery.
Only paid £59 for a modern clean double room, including parking, and a nice continental breakfast. Polite and friendly staff. This budget hotel is doing a great job, providing a decent room at the right price. Only a short taxi ride to Haydock Park races too.
We stayed here for 1 night with no complaints. The room was spacious and clean. When we requested extra pillows our needs were seen to very promptly. If in the area would stay here again. Bed was reasonable and the decor very themed (jockey)
I paid £56 for three of us and got exactly that. I just needed a night to stay which included breakfast. Staff were very polite, child friendly and reasonable. Their service was excellent with us very fast and always smiling.
stayed with a few friends , the friendley ness of staff was good, food was good, breakfast you have a choice of continental or pay extra for a cooked one, rooms what you would expect for overnight stay clean spacious, the only thing that loosed our room down was the bathroom, the toilet side was good, but the wet room part looked very dirty and floor tiles needed regrouting adn cleaning very dirty water marks on, but overall nice pleasant hotel.
To state for the record the rooms are clean, appointed well, for the market it is aimed at. But the breakfast is absolutely terrible. The worst i've uncounted in the ibis chain and regional management need to do a unplanned, flying visit to see this for themselves. The manager needs replacing on a urgent bases as her arrogant self centred attitude shows total disrespect to the customers. Having unfortunately witnessed this for myself , which turned into a ugly argument in the breakfast area. The selection of continental breakfast fare is very limited to be kind, but you can purchase a cooked breakfast which i think it is geared up for , so your steered in to buying as the rest is rubbish. the cost cutting in this area is plain to see and appalling. this is a busy hotel which has cost cut to the bone to make profit. I will be taking the matter up with ibis direct regarding the manager as i feel she would like to keep the bad publicity from ibis by handing out her business card for correspondence .
We stayed here as a large group while visiting Chester and Liverpool with National bus trip. For the money we paid it was good value. The rooms were clean and comfy with nice walk in shower rather than having to climb into a bath with a scabby plastic shower curtain... We had the worst evening meal on record which was served as a group thing with the whole of the bus trip eating together, lukewarm food, worst soup and dessert crumble ever. Mediocre pate and melon in a fruit coulis sauce...However the following day we had the best breakfast ever. Full English , piping hot , fresh , tasty. We almost thought we had woke up in a different hotel... Wouldn't choose to stay here due to location (middle of nowhere) and food issues however did the job for a one night stopover.
Hi hotel was lovely and comforting and clean. I would say maybe another pillow in the room would have been good, but saying that I am sure I may have go one if I asked. Staff where very friendly. Breakfast was great too. The eating house in the grounds of the Ibis was excellent too great value. Would differently stay again
Stayed here with friends for one night as we were going to the races. Hotel is very clean. The rooms are gorgeous and very comfy. Staff are so friendly. I phoned up the week before to ask if we could all be on the same floor as we had 6 rooms. They were so helpful and did their best to accommodate. The breakfast was very nice, lots to choose from and more than enough. Choice of upgrade to full English if you want. Ideal position for the races and only £5 In a taxi to get to course. Would definitely stay here again
Stayed here for 1 night with my husband. The hotel is a great budget hotel, rooms are a good size and clean. Breakfast was Ok, continental but you can pay extra for full english. Staff were pleasant and friendly. Couple of negatives - if you get a room facing the duel carriageway, bring earplugs! The noise was horrendous, I finally dropped off in the early hours. The windows need soundproofing on that side. I did ask for the carpark side, but it was full. Couple that with a rock hard pillow (that we'd already asked for a replacement) it meant a really poor nights sleep and a severe neckache. All in all a good value hotel that could do with a bit of tweaking.
