It's a great classy not too expensive hotel. The only problem was that the ceiling in the bathroom where the light fixture is, rained down water one night. I think the people above overflowed their tub or something.. I called front desk and they immediately got the upstairs room to change rooms and asked me if I would move also. It was midnight so I asked to wait til morning. The water stopped coming down and I did move next morning. For my troubles the staff gave me $45 credit on room or restaurant!!!!:)
Do not go there period! Will not be using orbit ever again...they did not book the room correctly!
I travel quite a bit and have stayed in Hyatt Place hotels before; never in this one. Generally everything´s okay. Unfortunately for me,this time I had the worst hotel bed I have ever slept in. Three nights, no rest at all and a beautiful back pain.
The sheets were not washed for sure as i am able to feel and smell dust being a person allergic to dust. I feel like being in a very untidy room which is not being used for a while.
The first room I was in had wet carpet in front of the A/C unit and smelled of mildew. The second room they gave me made a loud grinding noise every time the A/C came on, so it kept waking up throughout the night. My co-worker said his room or A/C kept making clicking and popping noises throughout the night that sounded like someone was in his room with him and kept him up as well. When I mentioned it to the front desk this morning, they apologized and offered coffee because of our exhaustion. I normally love Hyatt Place Hotels, but this one was pretty bad.
Due to an exit being closed that we were not aware of, it took us an additional hour to find this hotel. However, we were pleasantly surprised when we did arrive. Check-in was quick and the clerk made sure to inform me there were several wedding parties staying there and placed us in a room as far away from the commotion as possible. The rooms themselves were great; however, I do wish we would have had an in-room refrigerator/microwave. The beds were VERY comfortable and I was able to get a great night of sleep. I would definitely stay here again!
Clean hotel. Quiet hotel. Only down fall is the pool has the sun beaming down on it all day so it is too hot to go in unless you want to fry!
The room was clean. Very pleasing. Bedding was great. My most disappointment was no refrigerator, microwave, and hot tub. I don't like the idea of glass glasses. Prefer Plastic cups.
Hotel had more services available than the last time I stayed at Hyatt Place. Bar service, food menu, and a pool were all available at this location. This location worked out good for the business I was taking care of in the area. Close to a major highway, but yet off of the the main roads.
Not a lot of extras, but the rooms are big and really nice.
I was very happy with the service at the front desk. She was prompt and informative of the amenities. It was a great location for me.
A young lady working at the desk was very helpful Sat. night (around 11 pm) when we were looking for a church to attend the following morning. She produced a map, and found the times of the services, all the while smiling!
The rooms where clean the breakfast was really good and the staff was nice overall great place to stay
I stay there every time I come into Dallas if I can. The staff is always friendly and the room's always clean and comfortable.
Mold on the carpet. I booked a double bed I got a king. My two teenage kids had to share the couch. BOY/GIRL .The staff was hit or miss. The morning breakfast was boring. The hot breakfast was not hot but it did look good. Price was good but too much construction to stay more than two nights.
I have been using Orbtiz to make travel plans for almost 10 years and this trip was quite disappointing to us. Not only did our Prepaid car rental end up costing us well over $100 in addition to what we had pre payed for, but more importantly the ENTIRE HWY 121 is under construction. With multiple exits either re routed or closed, this made finding the hotel on the first night extremely difficult. Although we went over 10 miles out of our way re routing and making u turns, we were quite frustrated upon our arrival. The staff did not really seem to care of our frustration. Then the next day we attempted to change hotels to a part of town that was not under construction to no avail. The staff acted as if we were inconveniencing them. At least I went through the airline to make our flight reservations. EXTREMELY disappointed that no one could not only offer any solutions, but there was absolutely NO warning of the construction of the highways. The locals even told us that this had been going on for years. This would have been quite helpful information to people spending hard earned money to travel to a unfamiliar state. I will consider this as we plan our next trip and I guess we will have to do our own research since no one else cared to share information about the area.
Great service, good amenties ( a little disappointing there was not any weightlifting equipment in the fitness center, just a few bicycles, stair climbers and elliptical), but got woken VERY early by all the construction occurring. That's not the hotel's fault --- but am wondering if the option of a portable fan would've been worth it to customers to "drown out" the noise. I would recommend to another but make sure they knew going in what to expect.........
Nice place to stay for business. Breakfast is the best !
The construction in the area was the only bag thing but was great otherwise. Room was very clean, staff real helpful in finding ways to get places except finding the local big mall center as we got three sets of directions and got lost all three times we tried. None of the directions were printed. Otherwise the cleaning of the room was timely, always left necessary things requested, staff was very helpful in finding restaurants to meet out tastes. Without the road construction the trip was great. An updated GPS does not even help in some cases unless you like to hear "redirect".
Hyatt Place is clean and comfortable. The staff is great and the breakfast is the best in it's class.
