The check-in process was quick and easy and I loved the breakfast bar as well as the cocktails in the evening. The property could use some updating but overall was worth the price.
Found a cockroach in my room and had to switch rooms in the middle of the night. The staff member was mad my son caught it in a glass and had took it downstairs for the other guest to see. The damn hotel have box fans in the rooms because the ac doesn’t cool off the rooms at all 110 degrees out and you have to sweat and be uncomfortable in this Texas heat
Staff was pleasant and helpful. Property was not up to the typical E standard. Probably due to staffing shortages? Elevators out of order, wifi not working (would not keep a connection), a/c and refrigerator in first room not functioning, trash outside several rooms (in hallway), beer bottles/empty cups strewn about. Staff was very helpful and considerate despite everything.
Excellent!
The breakfast is great!
Upon driving up, the exterior was very impressive, as was the lobby. I loved the early 1900s aesthetic. I did think the modern furniture in the lobby was an odd choice. Our room was a huge letdown. When we walked in, it looked like they threw together furniture of every style from a thrift store. The artwork looked like it was still from 90s. We had to put a trash can in front of the dresser because it wouldn’t even stay closed. The TVs were pretty old and didn’t work right. The batteries were dead in the remotes (one had acid corrosion). There was no channel guide. In the middle of a movie, the channel just stopped working. A quick glance in the bathroom gave the appearance that it was remodeled, but after you spend some time in there, you see how bad it really was. I woke up with a backache because the beds were so uncomfortable. We had few encounters with the staff, but the ones we did, were pleasant. The pool was very warm which was nice for this time of year, but the hot tub was colder than the pool. When we arrived at our room (at 5 pm), the room next door had set their room service meal outside on the floor. When we left the next morning, it was still there plus more trash. Why that wasn’t cleaned up by staff at some point is beyond me. We also couldn’t cool the room below 70. It was too warm! I was excited about the 12 pm checkout time but by the following morning, I couldn’t wait to get out of there.
Pros: Great location, Happy Hour, awesome breakfast Cons: Old hotel. My room has a window that did not seal.
Good location! Not to far from Ranger stadium. I didn't like the very small bathroom or AC. The bedroom was warm and living area was cold. I know the manager knows their issue with AC because their was box fan in closet
The bath tub did not drain called maintenance twice to repair —- no resolution. The air conditioner did not cool and needed to buy a box fan. Ratty carpet! Smelly room. Would not stay here again!
Everything was great about the hotel
Our children had time to in the swimming pool and we had time in the hot tub.
Good option all around.
It was old, dated, deteriorating, big red stain in the curtains, old furniture
Hotel room is molded, the smell was unbearable. Refused to change room because it’s “all-booked”. Poor Air Conditioning to no air conditioning while it’s over 90degrees outside. Just horrible! I should get some refunds back!!!
