Love the place and it was a grate expirences and my kids love the water park and hotel rainforest

Met some friends from England in Texas and had a few days at the Gaylord Texan. Really nice place with lot's to do in the hotel complex. It has an outdoor pool and a small waterpark that the kids loved. There are several dining options within the hotel plus a very busy sports bar. The only downside is that it is a fair distance from any other shops or restaurants. So unless you have a car, you are at the mercy of the very high prices that they charge. So a great place but be prepared to spend if you eat and drink in the hotel.

Very nice hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back

Jewel of Texas Place to have vocation within few miles from home

Facility is nice but staff gets overwhelmed and it is taken out on guests. Restaurants are mediocre, Grapevine Main st offers better choices which is just a few minutes. Water park was worth the stay, especially for adults with children, there's at least a bar.

The Gaylord Texan is a nice, massive hotel. It's extremely clean and well taken care of. The staff is courteous and goes out of their way to help. Parking is a bit of a nightmare because there is just one parking garage that does not connect to the hotel itself. Unless you choose to go with valet, you have a pretty good hike ahead of you. Especially when there's no room until the 4th floor and the elevator doesn't work. Don't go there in December. Yes, they have it beautifully decorated for Christmas and there's plenty of (expensive) things to do with the kids but the place is a mad house! Very nice place though.

Christmas is HERE and they do it right! Room service was at times easier than long lines to eat.

We love to stay at the Gaylord when we come to Dallas. It never disappoints. Always exceptional!

Hotel seemed not quite up to par to the other resorts I have stayed at. Wished the rooms had microwaves. Couch in suite was not very comfortable. Wished there was an easy chair in main bedroom. Repairs to certain parts of the rooms seemed not to be done professionally. Sink countertop was small.

I booked a single king room for my twelfth year anniversary. Upon arrival I was told that they had sold out of kings and I would have to take a double queen. I asked what the next highest room type was and was told I could get an executive suite for 150 more a night. Since it was our anniversary and the only night we have had away from our kiddos in a long time I said sure. I paid the up charge and off we went we had a reservation at the hotel steakhouse set up for 20 minutes after we checked in do we could maximize our relaxation time. The dinner was good and we had no issues there. Back up to the room we went. We got into comfy clothes and then my wife asked what is that all over the wall? It was black mold all over the wall. I called the main desk and they sent an engineer up and he verified it was black mold and we would move rooms shortly. This was at 725 pm. The front desk called at 740 and said they would send someone up with new keys. I called two more times over the course of the next two hours. I finally walked to the main lobby asked for a manager and got a new suite. When we walked into the new room we were overwhelmed by the odor of urine. We went to the bedroom portion and you might have guessed from the review title the second room was full of black mold as well. I went down stairs got a new manager to check us out. She offered to send us a voucher for a free night and I almost laughed at her it was 1030 and they had ruined our night.

The stay at the Gaylord Texan was wonderful. The staff was helpful and courteous. Inside the hotel was beautiful. The Riverwalk Cantina restaurant food was delicious!

This is a huge property with an atrium that's incredible and containing several restaurants and resembling the river walk in San Antonio.

Quick stay. Great service. Last room in the complex.

WIll visit next time. We went during christmas time, and kids had lot of fun.

My husband and I, along with our 4 and 6 year olds had an amazing stay at the Gaylord Texan. The size of this place is impressive and the Christmas decorations were unbelievable. We wished we'd stayed more than one night!

Everything was wonderful. It is an awesome place to stay!

We had a great time, it's worth it. Gets 4 stars because of the $18 resort fee it gets expensive when you add up tickets for ICE, food, drinks, parking, tips etc..

Fantastic location. Perfect for a conference. Would stay there again.

Perfect for getting away from the city lights and being tucked back into a cozy resort. Definitely will be coming back!!!

We stayed there only one night and didn't get a chance to use all their amenities. It is a huge sprawling resort. The enclosed atrium is just phenomenal! It's expensive!
