The room was huge and next to everything we wanted to do while in town. Excellent service and super clean hotel. The hotel had a bar and grill attached-but in the middle of the fabulous restaurants around the hotel-we missed it. However, it seemed lively and was busy on Saturday night.
I ended up staying here as part of a long saga getting home during and after the Denver blizzard, and I could not have been happier. The room was fine, and the location was convenient enough, but what really sets this place apart is the exceptional staff. Karen, the person managing the breakfast layout, was a mother to us all in the morning. She made sure everyone had everything - and I am not being facetious - and her demeanor with all of the children was impressive. Carlos, at the Desk, made sure I had everything I needed and made my exploration of downtown Dallas possible. And Danny made sure I got to the airport safe, sound, and well-educated on how to navigate all things DFW. When I am next in Dallas, I am staying here.
Stayed for two nights. The room was clean and spacious. The kitchen is nicely laid out, everything you need to make your own meals. The bar is nice, however note it closes early Sundays and you're in a dry county. It made a nightcap hard to come by! The building is starting to show its age. And you get lots of road and airport noise all night. I would prefer the hotel chain not include religious items in the room. Overall good stay.
Overall, I’d say my experience here was Good. However, I was EXTREMELY disappointed that they stopped doing the Managers Reception (now dubbed “The Mix”) while we were there. This is one of the prime reasons I choose the Residence Inn brand and have really enjoyed it at this hotel in the past. I asked the front desk manager why they stopped it and her answer was “they (big Marriott?) said it’s not required anymore” and thus they weren’t going to do it. Sad. My guess is that it might take business away from the restaurant in the lobby. However, not sure I buy that argument. In the past, I still gave my business to the lobby bar on the nights that The Mix wasn’t offered. Now I just looked outside the hotel for options. As much as I like the hotel bar, it gets old after a couple nights. The ironic part was that the flyer for “The Mix” was still prominently displayed on my fridge and every time I turned on the TV I was greeted with a Residence Inn ad that touted The Mix as one of their marquee features. Guess not. I’ll probably look elsewhere for my extended stay needs next time around!
Traveling for business and the staff was very friendly, my room was perfect (with a kitchen) which was great for a week’s stay plus the breakfast has a lot of choices. They also have a lively little bar downstairs and a shuttle service with plenty of restaurants close by.
This Residence Inn is in a perfect location. The rooms are laid out really great & easy to maneuver. Plenty of room. The staff is very kind & conserned. The food at the Library is excellent! I highly recommend this hotel & its services for a great visit to grapevine or on your way to DFW.
Was there for a wedding and selected this hotel for the shuttle service it provided. Breakfast service well above many chains. Cozy grill and bar on the premises. Comfy beds. Would definitely stay here again. Hint of friendliness. I called on day of arrival to see if we could check in early. The front desk person told me our room was ready and to “Come on over. We’re ready to meet you.”
We were looking for a Marriott for 3 nights that was close to the airport, convenient to the freeway, large enough rooms for the 2 young grandkids . . . and this place was perfect. Unbelievable breakfast in the morning - the woman overseeing everything was beyond helpful and so kind. Front desk staff always smiling and helpful if we needed anything. The little pub grill off of the lobby was fantastic as well. We had a nice dinner and cocktails late one night - the server was attentive and friendly. The room was clean, the bed was nice, kitchenette well appointed, coffee machine provided and and the room had a nice layout. We asked for extra towels - 2 bath towels is not enough for 4 people. Pull-out couch in the living area with all the necessary linens to go along with it. It was too cool to take advantage of the swimming pool. We'll definitely come back. A really pleasant surprise and nice experience.
Love this hotel. Walk Across the street to Grapevine mills outlet mall. Or it is in the same parking lot with Bass pro shop. Full kitchen in your room, stove, microwave, fridge. King bed and sofa pullout or 2 queens and a pullout. Pool, business center, workout room, outdoor grill, free breakfast, free airport shuttle, nice bar/restaurant. Netflix, utube, internet tv available on your tv, free WiFi Stayed here twice this month. Karen the breakfast hostess is fabulous. One day it was tortillas, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, fruit, yogurt and oatmeal. Plus all kinds of breads. The next day they made omelets to order! The omelet guy was great! And tips went to a charity. The restaurant has a great menu. I had the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Yum. The bartender Amanda is great and makes a fabulous lemon drop. Katherine the van driver is always quick to pick you up and I love that it’s a free shuttle to and from dfw. About a 10 minute ride. Everyone at the front desk is great Jordan, Sharon and Carlos. Some rooms the air conditioning is not the best so check that out ASAP when you get to your room.
We stayed at this Residence Inn for 4 nights as I had business in the airport area. Reasonably comfortable beds, showers that are forceful yet also change temperature inexplicably, good free breakfast, common areas OK yet oddly not well air conditioned.
