Booked a non-smoking room prior to the Cowtown Marathon as it was close to the venue but far enough away to not be inundated by other runners. Nearly impossible to find with construction and the building looks grimy and unsafe. Front desk was dirty and roaches were crawling around the floor. Had an employee walk in, notice a roach, and keep going. Cuz no big deal. They gave us a smoking room and said there wasn’t anything they could do to honor the original booking. So my wife and I barely slept and the race the next morning couldn’t come quickly enough for us to leave.

We initially had an issue with our rooms - one was already occupied and another was labeled "non-smoking" but smelled of smoke. We informed the staff and they were very apologetic and fixed the problem immediately. We were really impressed with the hotel's facilities. The rooms were modern and spacious and the gym was great! It was clean and had more machines than I expected. Overall, a great stay!

I've stayed here several times and it is the best of the various hotels in the 820/Beach area, at least for the money. The rooms are not luxurious but they are sufficient.

My husband and I stayed at the Candlewood Suites for a long weekend in Fort Worth. The hotel was very clean and all of the front desk people that we encountered were very helpful and friendly. We were in a one bedroom suite. The room was well appointed and appeared rather new. Its always nice to have a fridge to keep beverages and leftovers in. The nicest feature, to me, was the roomy bathroom with lots of space to store toiletries. The only downside was that there was excavation going on across the street from the hotel..and the machines and beeping started very early...not the hotel's fault, but whatever they are doing over there will probably be a bit disruptive for the next few months.

Had a wonderful weekend at this Candlewood , but this room was equipped with everything to live a couple weeks. It had stove, fridge w/ice maker, microwave. Great location. Carrieann's was a great hostess.

Good value. The location is a little sketchy. And since it is a suite, you only get room cleaning once a week. I wish I would have known that beforehand. Still, it's a nice place.

It was a pretty great trip. Would recommend to anyone else.

This hotel is clean. It is a great deal. It is close to many restaurants. The staff is courteous and helpful.

Everyone was nice a home away from home. I had a peaceful stay

Hotel staff was very friendly. Room was clean and very comfortable. It was a great place to stay for the price.

The room was setup like a studio apartment with a desk. Nice, clean, and had a great outdoor grill.

This was a pleasant stay for a good, if not great, price. The lady working the desk the night of 1/25/14 was so incredibly nice and professional; I wish all hotel staff were like her when I travel. The free DVD supply at the front desk was a nice touch. The only negatives I could think of was the reclining chair (too big for the room which made it cumbersome getting in/out of bed in the dark, and there is not exhaust vent in the bathroom for steam. But these are little things. It was a very pleasant stay at an affordable price. If I go back to Ft. Worth, I will be looking into that place again.

I don't understand why this hotel is rated as a "2 star" hotel. I'd rate it a 3+ or a 4-. I am a single woman traveling alone so safety is important to me. I felt The location was great and I felt very safe. The room was clean and I actually like the fact that their housekeeping sevices are weekly rather than daily. Of course if you need something in between visits you can pick it up at the front desk or just ask one of the housekeepers and they'll take care of you. You'll need to bring your own soap, lotion etc. if your someone who relies on the hotel for these items, but I think most of us bring our own anyways. The only thing I would have appreciated was a hair dryer in the room. Otherwise, this is a great hotel with reasonable rates and I will definitely choose it again.

I felt as secure as a person could in a hotel! Appreciated the Southern Hospitality

great hotel for the price. nice, spacey room and friendly service

friendly staff, sufficient accomidations for the price

From the start to the end, it was a unpleasant experience. Room was dirty, dirty towels and wash cloths were left in the room. No clean wash cloths were left in the room.

ITwas a very enjoyable stay, Very clean & plenty of room, with everything including PoPcorn for the microwave, kitchen & refridg. All the comforts of home.

Courteous staff, only problem was construction on the major highways surrounding it. Kitchenette was a plus.

The people who work there go out of their way to be friendly and helpful; Rooms are clean; beds are very comfortable; towels are big and fluffy -- what more could you want!
