Stay away from this hotel. It's so dirty, filthy and disgusting. The matresses are so old and have holes on them, it was blood stains on the sofas and so dirthy. Its shame that Orbitz is listing this type of hotels.

Great stay!

Bang for your buck, this is the place to stay! Very clean! Pretty good service. Anybody complaining about this place was looking for a $500 room on a $150 budget. If you aren't scared of the city, this is the place to stay. I'll stay here every time I come to town.

Toilet is not secured to the floor. Sink doesn’t drain. Room smells like smoke. Tile floor is greasy. Hotel is not as clean as pictures on the website show. If there were other rooms available we wouldn’t be staying here.

Not what I thought

The pictures do not accurately reflect how this hotel feels in person . It feels dingy dark and small in the rooms . The lobby is nicely decorated but feels closed off . The staff were friendly . The description said river front but to me it was not close enough to the river front for that to be advertised. To me this felt more like a MOTEL than a hotel .

The hotel itself is ok, but it was my worst hotel experience. The guest were noisy, walls were thin and I woke up multiple time in the middle of the night because of intimate actions happening on the room next to me.

This is a very basic but clean and satisfactory budget option. There was a lot of noise, both from other guests and traffic, but it's a cheap motel in downtown Detroit, so to be expected. The location is excellent.

We were in Detroit for a concert at Ford Field. This was something that was "nearby" (about a 10 min drive/20 min walk) & we figured it was just 1 night so we didn't want to pay for too much. Considering it was a Quality Inn, the price was more than we expected but I'm guessing there was a surge in price due to the concert being in town. Check-in was quick, but they didn't even ask for ID (just my name) which was already making me skeptical. Now onto the room. As soon as you get in, you get a nice whiff of urine. I get that this is on the lower end of the scale for hotels, but I've stayed in other hotels similar to this & this was the worst. Even a Red Roof was better. It smelled absolutely terrible and I just couldn't get comfortable. It was so bad that I contemplated just looking for another room, but we knew that wouldn't be a good idea because we wanted to be close by & everything would probably be an insane price. My partner stated that certain parts of the room smelled like throw up. Never staying at another Quality Inn again. Only good thing was that the staff was quick & efficient. Location was decent (we were able to walk home after the concert). Area didn't seem the greatest (a lot of homeless people walking around), but it ended up being fine. Definitely something to keep in mind if you want to stay here (but don't).

My stay was very uncomfortable, there was dirt in the corner of the baseboard, there was a little odor, the top blanket had lipstick on it, there was paper towels by the little fridge, there was hair in the sink.. I had no option but to stay here, I booked on line. I arrived around 3pm I had an outing at 7pm, and I left at 5am.

Minor details made our stay a little iffy. There was a sucker stick on the floor next to the TV stand (not from us), and a Q-tip in the bathroom sticking out from behind the sink (not from us). Just a little fine tuning and the place would be great!
