My overall stay at Hotel Indigo was pleasant! I was a little disappointed when I got to my room that my window faced multiple ACs and a brick wall. Every time I'm in Traverse City I stay at this hotel so my view was not a total letdown.
Really modern hotel. Great location. Walking distant to resturants bars/grills. Across the road from the Marina and beaches. Didnt like the stone floor in the bathroom. Not comfortable to walk on.
Its right downtown and an easy walk to many things to do. My big complaint is valet parking is required. Parking in TC is a problem and the hotel has no guest parking to speak of. I would have liked the valet parking included in the price of the hotel as you have little options. Also the live music they had on the weekends was way, way, way too loud. Why do musicians feel they need to blast out the music in a small venue like a bar area? We could not even begin to carry on a conversation 20 yards away. Yes we did ask to turn it down. No luck.
This location is perfect! This beautiful new hotel in the up and coming side of town did not disappoint. In fact, it exceeded my expectations in every area. The biggest, pleasant surprise was the outstanding restaurant. I am not a hotel restaurant fan, but the diversity beyond the typical of the menu items and the food quality and portion were exceptional. We ate dinner and breakfast meals in the hotel restaurant and both experiences exceeded our expectations in every way. Well done!
Beautiful hotel, beautiful location in an absolutey beautiful city. Just the right amount of everything — casual yet contemporary atmosphere, great amenities, water view plus walking distance to everything downtown and, then, there’s the rooftop bar ... stunning! We’ve stayed in several area properties, this one is by far the best.
The Hotel Indigo is Modern Posh. The staff is very friendly, and willing to help out. The rooms are very nice, comfortable beds, great pillow - amazing views of West Bay. I was surprised when I arrived and was given a Suite - it was so cool. 3 big windows, a living room and a fireplace - with a cool backdrop in the kitchen area. The bar staff is very friendly too. I would highly recommend the Hotel Indigo.
The hotel itself is great. Staff friendly and helpful. The only problem is that it’s on the main road and the windows do not block sound. So although beds are very comfortable it’s hard to sleep with all the noise
everyone was friendly and kind, had a nice room, it was quiet, checked us in early, gave suggestions in what to do in TC,
The hotel is beautiful, but the hotel was very understaffed. We waited over 1 1/2 hours for dinner at the restaurant, and it wasn’t crowded. We skipped housekeeping one day because they were so late. The staff was great, they just had more to do than they could handle. The restaurant food is AMAZING! The rooftop bar is nice, but the food options up there are limited. The view makes it worth it. The valet service seemed pointless as we were parked about 15 feet from the front door. Our vehicle was too big to fit in the garage. So, we paid them $12 a day to hold the keys. Love the location! Within walking distance to shopping/dining/bay. Would I stay here again? Yes, but it wouldn’t be my first choice.
Location was great, Hotel was very clean and rooms were nice and large. Would stay there again. Only gripe would be their 1st level Dining Room, food was pricey and mediocre at best and service there was rather lacking, but that doesn't really change my view on the great hotel. Since its located downtown we'll just plan on going elsewhere for breakfast next time!
Breakfast not include Must pay for parking Hotel was not full and a staff member placed us directly under the rooftop bar with loud techno music going until 11 p.m.
From the room to the location to the walk in shower to even the valet, absolutely no complaints. I have been traveling lately and none of the other hotel chains can compare!
Honestly one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. Everything was new and this particular hotel chain designs each hotel to the city it's in so each hotel is different.
I was extremely impressed with this hotel. The valets and the check in staff were all highly professional and energetic. The decor was modern and quite pretty throughout. Lots of nice luxury touches. The room shampoo was all high end Aveda products and the bar soap was scented. There was live music in the evenings and bottomless mimosas in the morning. It was actually quite lively and vibrant, which really surprised me given it was Northern Michigan in the off season. Overall, look and feel, the Indigo compared favorably to some of the nicer hotels I have stayed at in major cities. It was definitely a cut above. I was very impressed.
We stayed here 3 nights and had a great experience. I had booked a double room and expected it to be smallish, but the room ended up being more like a suite. The bedroom had 2 double beds but there was a separate living/dining area, and the bathroom was huge. The whole place looked like they had recently renovated, and it was probably the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. Beds were comfortable which is saying a lot since my husband & I both have lower back issues. Towels & linens were nice. Our room(s) overlooked the lake, which is beautiful. We were able to walk everywhere downtown from the hotel. There are great restaurants, stores and a couple of small movie theaters. Staff were very helpful and polite. Only downside for some might be that the hotel is on a busy road going through town and you can hear the cars on the road at certain times. It didn't bother us because we downloaded a "white noise" app on our phone and it drowned out the car sounds. We slept great. Ate breakfast in the restaurant downstairs and found it to be better than we expected. Would definitely stay here again.
