The hotel is located in a great place in downtown Detroit. A short distance from the Fox, and Fillmore theaters, as well as the convention centers, areas, etc.
There are lots of restaurants around and its close to public transport. There is also an option to valet your car, for a fee.
I requested 3 times, in three different places, that I needed an accessible room, however when I arrived, I was not given an accessible room. I was told that remarks had not been written down after I made a phone call to the hotel to make the request (a month prior), nor were my comments on the digital check in form viewed. Why even have the comment section if they won't read it? After seeing that the room I was given was not going to be useable (physically impossible), I was able to speak to another staff member who kindly found an accessible room (with a different bed set up, but at least it was useable).
The next morning, although the check out time was at 11 a.m., someone (I think from housekeeping) knocked on my door and woke me up at 9:30 a.m. to ask if I was going to check out that day.
