Park Place Hotel

I booked a room at his premier downtown hotel because it has a pool and hot tub and one would assume great wifi connections. I was willing to spend twice what I usually do for a room in Traverse City for these amenities. However, when I got there the pool and spa were closed for remodeling and the wifi was the worst I've found anywhere in town. I couldn't even get an important email to send. The room was comfortable and clean but I could have found that almost anywhere else in town. i was very disappointed in my experience at the Park Place Hotel.

I got in late at 2:30 am after flight delays. Instead of driving home I opted to get a hotel room to get more sleep versus drive home. Had to be up at 630 am for work. It took the front desk worker an hour to figure out the orbitz reservation.

Great except the room was cold! even turning up the heat to max it never got above 71- I like it mid to upper 70's! Other than that- the hotel is nice and Minerva's is great!

Beautiful hotel, close to downtown Traverse City, the only issue I had was the bathroom felt cramped because it has a weird layout.

My husband and I stayed October 10th after visiting wineries during the day. It was great. The hotel is conveniently located in town. The room was clean . The bathroom was quite small but ok. We ate at Minerva's. We had a drink at the Beacon on the top floor. It was a great experience.

We loved the bar/restaurant on the top floor. Great fun!

Great location and clean hotel, would stay there again!

Booked online a week before our stay. Got there and the sheets were taken off the bed and there was trash on the floor and tv stand. When asked if they had a room clean for us to stay in (since it was 2:30am) they upgraded us to a room with a balcony at no additional charge. We appreciated the quick resolution to this issue. We stayed there for 3 nights and never had to move our car because so many things are within walking distance. If you are bringing a bike they do not let you store it in your room so make sure you bring a lock for the bike rack.

Nice room and mostly friendly staff. Needed parking for 2 vehicles but only given one and had to leave parking lot at noon so had to leave in order to have lunch. Quite inconvenient. Saw a car being towed. Pricey in summer but location great.

The room was very comfortable. The hotel staff was very polite, and tried to be accommodating with our request to check-in early. There is a restaurant/bar within the hotel on the first floor, and a cocktail lounge at the very top of the hotel with beautiful views of the city and bay.

Excellent location: close to coffee shops, retail shops, restaurants, and Clinch Beach (walking distance).

Can't beat the location of this hotel within 2 blocks of downtown and all the shopping, restaurants, and taverns. Hotel room was super clean and bed was comfortable. Our room in the west wing was a little small, but okay for two people. Hotel staff were very nice and accommodating. Will definitely stay again at the Park Place!

Great stay!! Always enjoy staying here anytime of year. Room could have been a little larger, but just for sleeping it works fine.

Everything is old. AC is noisy. Could not find a good power port to charge cellphone. Bathroom is tiny. The location is perfect though.

Our stay at the Park Place was exceptional. Great customer service! Great view from our room of Traverse Bay! Great location to walk to area shops, restaurants.

great location and the room was quiet and inviting

The biggest problem is that the hotel is extremely overpriced for the level of comfort and amenities provided. The hotel needs renovations and updating to justify the price.

We went as a summer get away for relaxation. Excited to stay downtown, great location for walking to downtown attractions. Saw the room online and it correctly showed the room furnishings which were older but ok, my husband thought the bed was very comfortable but I thought it was quite soft and lumpy pillows. The curtains were dirty old sheers which were a turn off. I hate complaining but since I think others would appreciate the info. I am going to give my honest opinion on a few things. The bathroom area is very small with only one small mirror over the bathroom sink which is inside where the toilet and shower is (I will say the lighting is ok when you turn on the heat lamp) so only one person can shower or get ready at a time. The air conditioning was cold 65 degree room or muggy if you turned down the fan, the fan had to stay on high for cool air which we had to keep turning to med. which seemed like no air conditioning maybe just the fan blowing warm air or we froze. One of the days we were there it rained all day so we were in our room more than we had planned so the air thing got annoying. Prior to getting there we read on the hotel website that one of the bars in the hotel had all day happy hour on Wednesday, the day we got there, but when we went we were informed that they no longer had that all day happy hour---maybe they should remove that info from their hotel website and not leave the standing brochure in our room that also states the all day happy hour on Wednesday. Needless to say we didn't dine in the restaurant like we had planned, since we weren't sure if any of the info. that we previously had was up to date. So overall ok for location if that's the most important to you.

awesome location, and very nice. close to several of Traverse City's finest restaurants, and bars.

The room was old fashion. But, the location was wonderful. The hotel was not busy which suggested they might drop the rate a little. Likewise, our room was not ready at 2?
