Really disappointed in this hotel. We booked the hotel with two other couples who came in from Dallas, Texas & the other from Springfield, Illinois and so I was embarassed with the condition of this hotel - I am sure at one time it was a wonderful hotel but it was dated/worn out. Our walls in room had big scuff marks - There was a used dirty wash cloth on the shower rod. carpet through out hotel was stained and looked dirty especially in the elevator - will never stay there again. For the price, I will stay at the Hotel Indigo.

The staff was nice. The hotel seems old with old furnishings. We tried turning on some lights in our bedroom and the lamps were broken. Big wad of vaseline looking material on one of the chairs. Heavily stained chair in our room too. We'll pass the next time around. The toilet looked like it came from a barracks,

This hotel is very convenient to downtown (easy walking distance). As such, they charge a serious premium for the location especially during the summer season. There is ample parking which is free. The hotel itsrlf dates back to the 50's I believe. The lobby and common areas have a vintage feel and are ok but certainly not great. The staff was friendly and attentive. The rooms on the other hand are stuck in the 1980's. At least the one I had was. The decor, furniture, etc are all old. I also didn't care for the water stains on ceiling panels. The bathroom was beyond tiny with a modest attempt at a granite counter top. There was mold in the corners of the tub with peeling caulk and the refinished tub was peeling as well. If it weren't for the location, the room itself would be a $65 stay in a low end motel. Basically, they REALLY need to update this place.

The only redeeming qualities of this hotel are the downtown location and ample parking lot. The bathroom in the west wing of the hotel is so small one could sit on the toilet and wash your feet in the bathtub and your hands in the sink.I don't know what the east tower rooms are like, but the west wing needs a makeover ASAP. The room was spacious, but the beds were too soft and the TV too small. Not my cup of tea!

Hotel rooms were dirty and they need to update them ,too!! Bathroom towel dispenser was empty . I've been staying here fir many years and it seems to be going down hill each time I am here. The price is too expensive for not keeping it in tip top shape!!

I am not happy with my room there is mildew in the bathroom tub, hair on the toilet, hand prints On the headboard and the tissue was half full. I paid $300 for this room for my husband birthday and felt that the quality for the amount of money spent was not worth it. Me and my husband made the best of the situation however was not pleased with the appearance of the actual room. I also was given a room adjoined to someone else room and was not aware nor was I given a choice. I give this hotel s 2star the first star is for the appearance of the lobby and the second is the customer Service I received at the front desk everything after that was disappointing.

I booked a room at his premier downtown hotel because it has a pool and hot tub and one would assume great wifi connections. I was willing to spend twice what I usually do for a room in Traverse City for these amenities. However, when I got there the pool and spa were closed for remodeling and the wifi was the worst I've found anywhere in town. I couldn't even get an important email to send. The room was comfortable and clean but I could have found that almost anywhere else in town. i was very disappointed in my experience at the Park Place Hotel.

I got in late at 2:30 am after flight delays. Instead of driving home I opted to get a hotel room to get more sleep versus drive home. Had to be up at 630 am for work. It took the front desk worker an hour to figure out the orbitz reservation.

Great except the room was cold! even turning up the heat to max it never got above 71- I like it mid to upper 70's! Other than that- the hotel is nice and Minerva's is great!

Beautiful hotel, close to downtown Traverse City, the only issue I had was the bathroom felt cramped because it has a weird layout.

My husband and I stayed October 10th after visiting wineries during the day. It was great. The hotel is conveniently located in town. The room was clean . The bathroom was quite small but ok. We ate at Minerva's. We had a drink at the Beacon on the top floor. It was a great experience.

We loved the bar/restaurant on the top floor. Great fun!

Great location and clean hotel, would stay there again!

Booked online a week before our stay. Got there and the sheets were taken off the bed and there was trash on the floor and tv stand. When asked if they had a room clean for us to stay in (since it was 2:30am) they upgraded us to a room with a balcony at no additional charge. We appreciated the quick resolution to this issue. We stayed there for 3 nights and never had to move our car because so many things are within walking distance. If you are bringing a bike they do not let you store it in your room so make sure you bring a lock for the bike rack.

Nice room and mostly friendly staff. Needed parking for 2 vehicles but only given one and had to leave parking lot at noon so had to leave in order to have lunch. Quite inconvenient. Saw a car being towed. Pricey in summer but location great.

The room was very comfortable. The hotel staff was very polite, and tried to be accommodating with our request to check-in early. There is a restaurant/bar within the hotel on the first floor, and a cocktail lounge at the very top of the hotel with beautiful views of the city and bay.

Excellent location: close to coffee shops, retail shops, restaurants, and Clinch Beach (walking distance).

Can't beat the location of this hotel within 2 blocks of downtown and all the shopping, restaurants, and taverns. Hotel room was super clean and bed was comfortable. Our room in the west wing was a little small, but okay for two people. Hotel staff were very nice and accommodating. Will definitely stay again at the Park Place!

Great stay!! Always enjoy staying here anytime of year. Room could have been a little larger, but just for sleeping it works fine.

Everything is old. AC is noisy. Could not find a good power port to charge cellphone. Bathroom is tiny. The location is perfect though.
