Interesting building, NOT a cookie cutter hotel. Good breakfast and nice people.

Virtual key did not work so had to check in at the desk which took a very long time and the receptionist did not appear to be very competent of the process nor did he have much information to share about the area. Seemed very unprofessional and under trained. Then, when we finally did get to our room, the room felt like a closet. No view of the outdoors, our window actually looked out into a hallway! Never have I stayed in a hotel where you did not have a view of the outdoors. Then our toilet quit working in the middle of the night, which I ended up fixing (who hasn’t had to fix their own toilet at home so I knew what to do). Just had to go into the tank on the back of the toilet and make a couple adjustments so the tank would fill and the toilet would flush. Wasn’t impressed at all for having to spend the kind of $$$ we did to stay there. Doubt I would stay there again.

Rooms were spacious and well-equipped, but noise level was high. Location was excellent for dining and downtown entertainment.

I could not enter the Hotel. They locked the doors after 11pm with NO apparent way to enter the Hotel, and not apparent way to contact the front desk -- no sign, no phone number, no QR code ... nothing. I had to get another Hotel. A potentially dangerous situation actually ... it's Grand Rapids Michigan in the winter, and a hotel guest is stuck outside at 11pm at night in the middle of downtown GR and not way to get inside a building to stay warm, let alone get a bed. Unacceptable.

The facility is very nice. Wood floors were a nice touch. There was a mistake made by a staff member on the reservation. It led to us losing the room we selected during check in on the Hilton app. We were unable to switch rooms since the hotel was booked for the weekend. The staff was accommodating in helping to make us feel welcomed after all of that. We were treated to a complimentary item from the shop for the inconvenience. The room was very nice and clean. Some maintenance is needed on it. The toilet kept running through all hours. A bulb in the vanity area died. The TV looks to be slightly damaged but still usable. The TV placement is kind of weird with the wall being in the way of seeing it from the bed. Other than that, the room was enjoyable. Would not mind staying there again if we were in Grand Rapids

I very much like this hotel downtown. Beautiful and spacious suite with nice kitchen.

Very uncomfortable bed. Inadequate noise dampening between rooms - other guests are very audible.

The kids and I really enjoyed being able to schedule time to go swimming. It was nice to spend time with them and not have to worry about social distancing for a change. The facility was clean and the staff was very courteous. Breakfast was provided with to go containers and plenty of options.

As a base level Hilton Honors guest, you will always have to check-in at the desk and you have the option to check-in without going to the desk after your have moved up a couple tiers in the Hilton Honors program. The room you selected was a lower price than our city-view suites, and looks into something called a lightwell, not an accessible hallway. We appreciate your feedback and wish you safe travels! I had to get another Hotel. We have signage at the front entrance and the parking structure entrance with a call button where one of our team members is available 24/7 to unlock the door should our hotel guest not have their room key to unlock the door.
