This hotel was so over priced for a comfort inn. Front desk was belligerent when we questioned the bill. Never stay here again. Next night we stayed in a Hilton suite for less money! Basic comfort inn for luxury hotel price.
I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel. We only stayed here because our more expensive usual spots were all booked up. During non rush hour takes about 15 minutes to get downtown. It's closer to 45 mins around 5pm. There's a gas station next door and other shops close by. It['s close to a highway but the rooms are quiet. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff was very accommodating when we asked to extend the check out time on one of the rooms. The buffet breakfast was larger than what I have seen in many more expensive hotels. It was a good choice for considerably less that I usually pay for a hotel.
The parking lot is spacious, the front desk staff is courteous and friendly, the building is clean, the rooms are clean, modern and spacious, the pool and hot tub were great, and the included breakfast was just right. Only negative is that the free wifi is weak in the rooms. We saw a guy wondering the halls with his phone quite a bit, likely getting a better signal in the hallway. I felt the price was just right for what we received. It is close to the Tanger Outlet Mall and lots of places to eat nearby.
This hotel is being renovated and there website never mentioned it. The front check desk had a inch of dust on it when I checked in. The front lobby is a mess. It would have been nice to know what I was walking into.
The front desk was friendly and efficient. Stayed there one night. Had a nice sleep. Quiet area. Nothing close by so, we had to drive a ways to go out for dinner. All in all if you need a good sleep stay here.
This hotel was great. My friends and I were exhausted from three nights of camping in another city, and we decided to cut the drive home in half and spend the last night of our trip in Grand Rapids. We all loved this hotel. It's definitely a chain, but it was a great stay. We got a room with two queen beds and a pull out couch. It was more than enough room for 5 of us. The hotel was 15 minutes or less away from everything we wanted to do in Grand Rapids. Check-in was easy. I also called the day before to ask for early check-in and my request was granted super kindly. The pool was nice and clean. I didn't get a chance to try the hot tub or the sauna, but the family in there seemed to love it. The shower in the room had great pressure, and we had enough towels for the 5 of us staying in the room. We were all so tired and the beds were super comfortable - I slept SO WELL. The halls were quiet, the front desk staff was kind, and breakfast was yummy. Definitely a great choice!
Good location for this motel just off the highway and good proximity to Grand Rapids. Quiet neighbourhood. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable. There is a microwave and a decent sized fridge. They offer a decent breakfast as chain motels go, complete with the obligatory waffle maker. There are two restaurants across the highway if you prefer a more substantial breakfast. The staff was friendly and I would stay here again.
Senior couple. Room was nice and quiet; what I would expect from Comfort Inn. Breakfast was average. I could not maintain an wifi connection. It would drop about every 10 minutes; I finally gave up!!!!
We have stayed at this hotel many times - IT USED TO BE VERY NICE. This stay was terrible. It took more than 10 minutes to check in, as the one person working could not solve the problems of the person in front of us. We set the A/C in our room as low as it would go (60) and could not cool the room. The bedside clock did not display all of the digits. The toilet clogged, which we immediately reported to the front desk. After an hour of no response, we raided the maintenance room to find a plunger and cleared it ourselves. The north entrance door slams so hard it seems like it will knock the door frame off. And sitting right outside that door all evening were two guests smoking and drinking beer. It was like running the gauntlet to get in or out of the building. We thought we would have waffles for breakfast - no sugar free syrup. USED TO BE NICE - we will not return to this hotel.
This was the 2nd of 2 reward points nights and we couldn't be happier with our choice to stay here. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. I guess the only negative was the 76th Street Diner listed in their information book states it's within walking distance. While it is close enough, you have to go over an overpass and there is no sidewalk, so we took the car. :) Breakfast was hot and tasty. We'd stay here again when in the Grand Rapids area.
