Courtyard by Marriott Grand Rapids Airport

We stayed for one night for a volleyball tournament. The staff was very helpful, and friendly. But, our room was not as comfortable as it could have been. We travel a lot for sports. My complaint with the room was that the temperature was not consistent, the heat and/or air would click, then the loud fan would run, humming and waking us each time it cycled. This has been our experience at other locations of the Courtyard. Interrupted sleep due to temperature and noise from the fan, ruins our stay.

We had a group trip and I would stay here anytime I am in Grand Rapids!! We stayed twice in a 2 week period and drove an extra 30 mins to our event just to say at this hotel!! the Staff is one of the best I have ever seen at a hotel in my travels!! The rooms were great the service even better and they went out of their way to make our stay great! We added breakfast for 20 people at the last minute like 45 minutes before we needed in and they had it all set up! Kayleigh and Mandi were outstanding in their service and went out of their way to help us!! Mallory also was great in booking our rooms and making sure all was in order! I can't say enough about this hotel and the service we received!! This is an outstanding place to stay!!

I stay at Marriott brand hotels as a rule because I enjoy consistent experience and customer service. This Courtyard was disappointing - customer service was hard to come by. On the positive side: the room was great. So, if you need a nice place to rest your head and need no customer service - you'll be fine to stay here.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted in a professional and very friendly manner! We were unloading our car (after a very stressful trip due to weather/snow, white outs, slippery roads, etc.) and I was concerned about leaving my car under the covered entrance. One of the desk staff overheard us (whom we later found out was the manager) and without hesitation told us it was not problem! We found our room clean and beautifully appointed and very clean. We were going to a play at Grand Valley, so we arrived back late and again....very friendly staff. The beds & pillows are great and it was a quiet night. In the morning we went swimming and discovered the pool was salt water! What as awesome change from the usual chorine or bromine chemicals! Although the Bistro is closed on the weekends, they make coffee that is fabulous!! Every staff member at the front desk, lobby, hallway or pool maintenance guy smiled and greeted us. Thanks for a great say! We have stayed at many hotels in the Grand Rapids area, but will return to the Courtyard! Loved our stay, in every way!

The staff at this hotel is warm and friendly, and that means a lot when the temps are below freezing! I stay for business and they anticipate my every need. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The new brussel sprouts at the bistro are Amazing! It is located on a street filled with any amenity you could need, and only about 15 minutes from downtown Grand Rapids.

This is my second time staying at the Courtyard in Grand Rapids. Both times were a bad experience. The "Bistro" is always closed. The staff is not helpful. It's an ok place to stay in a pinch, but I would not recommend.

Allison at the front desk was super helpful! She checked us in quickly and gave us great restaurant recommendations throughout our stay. We requested an early check in and Allison made sure we could get into our room when we requested. Starbucks coffee was a huge plus!

Overall, good stay. Matt was very good at the bar, in terms of area knowledge, food selection and prep. I enjoyed that part, except they, accidentally, billed the meal to the room--company likes it to be separate--I worked that out. The water, for this time of year, could've been a little hotter. It took time to get hot. This was on the first floor. I mentioned it. It didn't seem to help. Other than that, this was a nice place to stay for business--not bad all and would probably return.

When I come to Grand Rapids I always try and stay at this hotel. Kayleigh has been so helpful in finding me a room during the last minute. The hotel is renovated and the bistro provides a nice spot to relax and to start my day. I’m always greeted with a friendly smile and never have to wait to speak to an employee. This hotel is being managed well.

Pretty standard, 3 story courtyard - tough to find from the street, but nice enough. Quiet location. Staff very friendly. They serve dinner as well as breakfast. Have a workout room. Starbucks coffee, too
