This property needs to be removed from all plaformt it was horrible. 1st room I was checked into was occupied already second room the door was wedged open as occupied as well as groceries inside the room.
Check in was ok easy somewhat quick process. Walking to our room with our 2 kids the whole hotel smelled like weed. 😠 Could barely open the door to our room.... Had to lift handle up and push quite hard. Pool was not clean and quite small.
The room was basically clean and the bed was comfortable. The property is simply dated and worn. The rooms need significant upgrades and maintenance (cabinet door did t close, the unit for the iron had been ripped from the wall, the bathroom was stained, elevator panel was rusted). The amenities were likewise dated. The breakfast was poor. About right for the price I paid. I’m not complaining too loudly but fair is fair
This place is SUPER basic bordering on gross. Yes, it's cheap, but you can tell by the condition of the building and the facilities why it IS so cheap. Rooms are clean and not bad, but everything else is run down bordering on decrepit. And there were some sketchy characters staying there as well. Didn't entirely feel safe coming and going after dark. Took forever to check in and out because front desk people seemed kind of clueless. Maid service only came once. Pool was freezing cold and hot tub didn't feel clean.
Breakfast was pathetic, bathroom flooded from next floor up, noisy, dirty.
I never have complaints about this organization. I could not find some personal information after my visit so i called the hotel and they the information at the front desk.
Tv didn’t work Shampoo was half empty Drunk people being loud on the floor. Puking and being obnoxious. Just kinda sucked for $100
When i am traveling to grand Rapids, this is the hotel chain i use the most , the reasons are very friendly staff, the hotel is very clean, the hotel is on a major road way with many restaurants and shopping mals, and the price is affordable
no hot water in shower. instant fail. breakfast buffet was cereal yogurt snack bars. eggs bacon waffles were available 6 months ago
The outdoor areas are pleasant. The parking situation was easy enough. I always found parking quite near the lobby entrance, which helps me feel safer as a woman traveling alone. It was nice that there was an in-house snack bar/restaurant, and that there was a little bodega area for drinks, vending, and any incidentals one might need. The lobby was pleasant and there were always people just socializing in that area. There were patches of mold across the ceiling in the bedroom, and scattered cobwebs over the ceiling in the sleeping area. Some fixtures were in shabby condition (doors, trim). The bed linens were heavily bleached - bad enough to burn in my nose while my face was on the pillows. It was actually very loud, as I could hear everything from outdoors and in the hallway as if it was inside the room with me. It was also a little difficult to find when I arrived, as it is tucked behind several shops and not clearly marked from the road. Their road signage is buried between trees, basically. The continental breakfast was a sad affair with a barely working toaster and room-temperature milk.
Front desk staff Chris was very nice. The hotel property and our room was filthy.
Beds were comfortable and view of courtyard was nice. The whole place looked "tired" with chipped doors and dirty carpet. The staff seemed overwhelmed and did not provide extra towels when requested. The breakfast was served in a meeting room, ambiance unpleasant, and offerings quite meager - nothing hot. Request for rooms on upper floor was not honored.
Good: The hotel has a limited snack shop and bar, which was nice. My bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly. Bad: The property is dated and the bathroom in my room really showed its age. The breakfast buffet was very limited. Ugly: There were people in my room when I tried to enter it. They had the security bar on the door. I called the front desk and the pair ran for it. Although staff upgraded me to a new room, this obvious breach in security is disconcerting.
Liked the pool, hot tub, and garden outside and close to the airport.Did not like that there was no coffee on the morning of Friday, Sept. 6th. - why? - because the kitchen was closed during remodeling. That is lame. Think outside the box. Bring coffee in from another hotel. Or buy a coffeemaker from goodwill and make coffee. Did no one know ahead of time the remodel would close the kitchen and there would be no coffee for guests? This is what people will remember about there stay here and tell others.
The room was much larger that in the pictures. we just had a few problems with our key card not opening the doors but the staff gave us suggestions on what could be causing it & what to do to correct it. It worked. I am looking forward to staying there the next time were in town.
