Property was clean. Check in/check out was easy. Garage is small but we easily found street parking. Location was convenient. Short drive or easy walk to good places.

We had a wonderful time in GR. The host was great. The house is good, older but still nice. Has a nice little fenced yard that our dogs loved running around in. Location seems walkable. Unfortunately we were during a snow storm so we didnt do much walking. I think it would be great in the summer.Overall we had a very nice time

No parking. The alley up to the garage was narrow along with trying to get into and out of the garage. The fans and ceiling fans needed cleaning. The ceiling fan doesn’t work. The recliner on the loveseat was broke. The water in the showers were hard to adjust, they were either too hot or cold. Kitchen was nicely stocked but why no spoons to eat with.

Walking distance to 24 hr coffee and Fulton’s and a five minute downtown uber/car ride, upstairs bedroom is well set up for families and the house came just as presented, we had a great time, thank you!

The house was ok. Nothing significantly wrong. The house is very old with only superficial updates. Our stay was in August and several of the rooms were hot despite window units and fans. The house had a crib, play pen, and booster seat with tray (not a high chair, wouldn't be safe for smaller children). There were children's toys in a ottoman, but many of them were small (choking hazzard). The TV was low and easy for small children to run into and possibly damage. Note: sensitive people, do not stay. May be uncomfortable.

Great Location

Great location for family to stay for graduation. House was clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable. Parking in garage was tricky with a larger vehicle but was a nice option. Quick communication when needed.

Property was ok. The air conditioners are units that were unsightly and loud. I had to contact the property manage for not being able to access the internet - that took 30-45 minutes to get resolved. Then the fan in the dining room is old and the switch is very sensitive to whether the fan is off or on. When I finally turned it off it was very, very dirty. not much privacy, but you can close blinds and drapes. Street parking was available with no problem. Plenty of bath towels.

Grand Rapids Getaway Gem

We needed a 3 to 4 bedroom house for a girls trip to Grand Rapids and this property fit the bill well. Reviews from previous guests described it as an older, well-kept and very clean house, which was spot on. The kitchen was well furnished, plenty of towels in both bathrooms and the linens on all beds were fresh and comfy. The 2 downstairs bedroom were not fancy, but definitely adequate. The 2 upstairs bedrooms were more spacious, as was the upstairs bathroom. All mattresses were great and the beds even had a nice throw for those inevitable afternoon naps. Mitten Properties was great to work with and the house is well located in GR.

Good stay / Minor issues

Nice space in a perfect location near my daughter’s wedding venue. Upon arrival, we noticed aunts in the kitchen and living room. We purchased some aunt traps which seemed to help. Empty pizza boxes on porch must have been overlooked by cleaning team.

Went to see the town for a short getaway with friends. Nice location. Close to downtown area. Bedrooms were perfect for our group of friends. Older home but overall clean.

Great location

Older house, but lots of room. Great location that is close to everything. Lots of space in the house. Worked great for us in town with a trade show at Devos. Very easy and organized Check in and check out. Would recommend for sure.

Beercation

We came to Grand Rapids to visit breweries and this place was perfectly located to walk to everything. The house was old but in great shape, very clean and cozy. The beds were excellent and there is a great coffee shop right around the corner. Check in/out was extremely easy and communication with the Mitten was very easy and they were very responsive.

Good house for a family

We did a short weekend and this house suited our purposes. The neighborhood is interesting. Lot of college students walking around, and a few drunks possibly homeless people too. Beds were good. It is an older house with no central AC like the other reviews stated but there were units where needed that worked great. Perfect amount of bedrooms so everyone had their own bed. Only con was more with the cleaning crew prior to our stay than the house itself. There were blueberries at the bottom of the fridge that weren't cleaned up and there were wet towels/mops in the washing machine. The garage is a bit of an issue too. Difficult to pull in with a larger SUV due to pillars at the parking lot right across. Ended up parking in the street after the first attempt at the garage.

Overall we had a good time. There is a small issue with having to plug the window unit A/C into a different outlet because we kept tripping the breaker. After trial and error, we found a solution. The house was in a decent area and within walking distance to most things. Check in was a breeze
