All good but we’re repainting the walls , so halls looked and smelled bad but rooms were nice

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times over the years. It was warm, friendly, a bit worn, but acceptable. Not this time. 1. Breakfast was supposed to be served until 10:30. The first morning I went down at 10:00 and everything was taken down. The desk clerk got me a bagel, yogurt and fruit which was nice of her. 2. Upon check in I gave the clerk a different credit card for my room charge than the one that held it. However, I got an email the next day that looked like the wrong cc was charged. I called the front desk from my room at 8:30 PM to clarify. The call just rang and was never answered. 3. The bathroom was in poor condition: sloppy, dirty caulking around the floor, tub, tub spout. Chips in tub. Sink faucet extends over the sink by just inches making it almost impossible to get anything like a toothbrush or your hands under it. The tissue was "crunchy". 4. The carpet and coffee pot were dirty; the TV had poor picture. 5. The swimming pool has a broken ladder on the deep end. 6. I was told the hotel was not very full, yet I was put in a room next to people who were very loud, slammed their door often and had a barking dog. I don't know why they had to be so close when there were obviously many other rooms not occupied. 7. The day I checked out there was a large bug on my suitcase. The maid put it into a plastic bag. I took it to the front desk and reported everything. The clerk apologized and said she would call the pest control company. That's it.

I definitely expected more from a Country Inn and Suites. It was pretty dated and run down. Not worth the $105 per night.

Genuine midwestern hospitality. Great rooms And nice hot breakfast options. The staff was very accomadating. Great hotel for the price.

Great hotel for a great price. The staff was accomodating and friendly. Nice hot breakfast options. Many amenities.

I need a place to stay during a conference. The Country Inn had a good location and decent prices. Checkin was a breeze, staff were friendly, the morning breakfast was respectable.

This was our second stay here, because we enjoyed it so much the first time. Friendly, accommodating staff. We were visiting family in Grand Rapids. Thanks for a nice stay.

Being only a fee minutes from GRR and some great dining spots the Country inn was a very convenient and clean place to stay. The staff were very pleasant and courteous. Overall a great stay.

Clean comfortable room, courteous staff, quiet environment, and good complementary breakfast appreciated

The hotel was on the lower end of the hotel chain, over all.

Things were clean. Nice breakfast. Would stay again.

The hotel was like inside this enclave next to the highway, so it wasn't incredibly incredibly easy in going to it, but it was a very nice hotel, quiet, great staff (we were upgraded for free to a better room), things to eat downstairs, and seemed like a respectable establishment. Definitely solid place to stay.

Great place to stay in Grand Rapids. Hopefully the crater-sized potholes in the parking lot and driveway will be fixed soon.

We really enjoyed ourselves, and the hotel was very good, at a gopd price. Great breakfast, comfortable, clean room. what more could you ask for? A bit hard to find, especially during the construction on 28th St.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was perfect, as I had an early morning flight out of Grand Rapids and it was a short drive. I would caution about the construction (as of 7/2/13) on 28th - expect delays during the day - one lane and signs are down.

Nice hotel for the price, close to the highway and grocery.

Supposed to stay at but because of the airline, was delay and never got to grand rapids to stay at. Asked to refund the money but never. Please don't stay at this hotel.

The staff were very friendly. It was very clean and comfortable.

It is located right by 96, east to get to although it is set back and not easlily spotted. The only thing I would change is there chairs in the room. They were like kitchen chairs and not comfortable to relax in. As a senior and with leg problems it is not easy to set on a bed to read or watch TV. Everything else including there breakfast and their hospitalty was great. We were there for a funeral so we did not do much around town

Loved the fireplace and holiday decorations. The warm eggs, sausage, and other items were a nice surprice on a cold rainy morning. The King beds were very comfortable. The staff had a smile for us as we walked in the door, after a long flight. We would stay again.. It is next to the Meijers and hard to locate from the road...But, worth it.
