Amazing! Beautiful rooms and very friendly staff.
Rooms were small and in "meh" condition. It's certainly not a four star hotel. Lobby areas were dirty, staff were on their cell phones every time we walked by. Bar area closed early. We will not be staying here again, there are many other better options in Grand Rapids.
great place to stay downtown grand rapids. smaller boutique hotel but can walk anywhere.
The property was conveniently located. The room felt a bit inconvenient in its layout. The design of the bathroom sink was such that if the faucet wasn’t on full force, it flooded the countertop and floor. The faucet toward the side of the sink also made it difficult to wash my face. None of this would cause me to not stay here again.
Property was in a nice area of downtown. What I found surprising was no suitcase holder for my small carry on.
Great property in a centralized location. Found parking nearby.
We had stayed at this property prior to this visit. We were disappointed how everything appeared "tired" Paint marred and chipping, floors unswept, accumulating debris in the corners of the hallways and rooms. Additionally, we arrived on an unusually hot day for early spring, and we were unable to regulate the temperature in our room in which to sleep comfortably. Skeptical of a stay here in the future as the room's rate seemed rather high considering our experience.
Hotel room was nice and updated. Beds were super comfy! This location is by so much that we never had to drive anywhere. The parking garage is attached to the hotel through a walkway (garage is not affiliated with the hotel though). The staff was super nice and the check in/check out process was very simple. My only complaints are the horribly loud noises coming from the floor above (I was on floor 2). It sounded like full grown adults doing gymnastics for hours at a time from the time we got there until the time we left. Very irritating. Also, the functionality of the shower is weird. You have to walk all the way in to turn it on, in which it sprays you with freezing cold water because you won’t make it out in time. Because of the location of the shower door and the location of the knobs to turn on, I didn’t see a way to avoid this. I tried turning it to the hot water side but it didn’t seem to work and I just gave up because I didn’t want to get sprayed by the cold water anymore.
We've been here twice and we love it! I love all of the eco friendly features the hotel offers
Interesting space
LOVED the loft feel with high ceilings, cork floor, and powered shades. Was clean and chic. Great location. And if you are there on a weekend, you can street park at a meter for free after 6pm on a Friday through Sunday.
I didn’t like that there wasn’t a vending machine to grab water but amazing location and awesome staff!
Our room was cute and clean, and it was in the perfect location to enjoy the downtown festivities. The only negative thing was that the website noted that we could park in a certain parking structure, but it did not inform us that we would have to pay (we assumed City Flats would validate our ticket since it had listed this parking structure under "Parking" on the website). It probably would be helpful to note that parking in the structure will require an additional fee. Otherwise, everything was great!
Hotel is decent for a three star property - but wouldn’t stay again.
I like that it’s conveniently located. The beds are very comfortable. I didn’t like that the bathroom was dirty. The tray that the glasses in the bathroom sat on was filthy and clearly had not been cleaned. I did not like that the bathroom sink was clogged. The furniture in the room was kinda gross and the throw pillows were nasty.
they don't tell you there is no phone service in the rooms. I specifically asked for a room where my phone would work because on my last visit to this hotel, my phone would not work - No Service! So this time I asked for a room where my phone would work and then they said that might be a problem. They should be up front and tell you that your cell phone will not receive service due to the thick concrete walls.
Over all a pretty nice hotel. Parking isnt very convenient though.
