Holiday Inn Grand Rapids Downtown

We wanted to stay in the downtown GR area for a while now, but the various hotels are all usually $200+ per night. The location of this hotel was great! Lots in walking distance or a short drive around town. Hotel staff were all super friendly and the rooms/hotel were fairly clean, but that is where the positive aspects ended. CONS: The noise from the freeway was extremely loud and the walls were pretty thin (and I used to live in an apartment building across the street from a train station in the Chicago suburbs). Our room had the sink outside of the bathroom which made it very inconvenient to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, you needed to turn a light on, or then dry your hair in the morning without bothering the others in your room (other rooms we noticed when house-keeping was cleaning in the morning weren't setup this way). The AC unit also wasn't the greatest. (However the second night, we left the fan mode on all night which helped drown out the highway noise). Beds weren't super comfortable.

This hotel walking distance to everything downtown. I would recommend staying here.

The I room we received was noisy and had mold inside the refrigerator and the bathtub. The room also had a very musty smell.

Elevator was broken and the beds were so small and uncomfortable.

Excellent hotel and location for business in Downtown Grand Rapids, MI. Facilities great and included breakfast was actually menu ordered in on-site restaurant. Access and parking were easy and secure. Overall a superior experience.

We were allowed early check in which was nice, we didn't spend much time at the hotel. The only complaint I have is the bathtub looked dirty, it had someone else's hair in it which is gross to see.

The hotel staff, Will at the front desk and Becca in the hotel restaurant, were very personable and helpful. Our visit was just an overnight visit and we would stay here again. If you're looking for a hotel with immediate hot water, this is the place, it was awesome!

Amazing staff, very professional. Clean hotel! Even had room service with great food. Couldn't have picked a better location.

I wasn't expecting too much from a Holiday Inn but I was extremely impressed. The rooms were fantastic and the hotel is dog friendly. Great location super close to downtown and within walking distance/short Uber ride to everything. Loved it!

My next trip to Grand Rapids I will definitely stay at the Holiday Inn. short walking distance to shop and restaurants/breweries. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The room go a bit stuffy but it was the middle of April and it was 80's out which is a bit unusual weather wise! I would recommend this hotel!

Location is prime for walking around to multiple places downtown GR!

Good downtown location, lots of bars and restaurants in walking distance. Staff was helpful, friendly, and professional.

We decided to try the Holiday Inn to get a more rounded picture of all the higher priced hotels in downtown and the experience was disappointing at best. It started out great - the front desk person was personable and pleasant and very helpful...but it ended there also. We had reserved a room with 1 king bed and received a room with 2 beds, nothing they could do about it.... Then the sound of the nearby highway was deafening.... Then the in-room ac/heating unit fan came on and off all night long, alternating between blowing hot then cold...we could not sleep worth heck... Then, after paying near as much as the Marriott per night, we were asked to buy a coffee in the lobby the next morning...

Was ok hotel. Location was great to central downtown. 1st room had dog hair all over the bed and floors so had to move. They were nice and moved to another room. Beds were very uncomfortable. Woke with neck and back hurting everyday. Gym was small and old equipment that mostly didn't work. Pool was not heated so that was a huge let down.

This is the perfect place to stay for business travel. Great location, great staff and value.

Two young ladies at the front desk were very helpful for finding places to eat and drink in downtown for us. Hotel was very clean and quiet. Would definitely stay here again. Very accessible location

This hotel met our needs for our recent college graduation trip to GR. The location was perfect and accommodations were good too!

Clean, easy parking, pool standard size crowded at times. Overall a very good place to stay if you want to be in walking distance to downtown events!

This hotel can charge for its location it offers nothing else in the way of excitement I have stayed in motel sixes that were just as good.
