Room had hardwood floors and hotel was quite (despite having quite a few guests--parking lot was near full). Staff was pleasant and I enjoyed my night there.
We have stayed in this motel several times each year for many years because of it's location, cleanliness, and fair pricing for a better than average experience. The property has undergone a couple of changes in ownership recently and the quality has suffered. The room smelled like smoke, the hallway carpet is stained, the pillows are foam bricks or lumpy blobs, the light switch on one lamp did not work, the breakfast was far below what was provided in the past... absolute minimum to meet the chain requirement. On the plus side, the staff is still upbeat, kind, and apologetic for the recent decline in quality.
I love this hotel, it's the best ever because the staff is great and the rooms are nice! I'm so glad I signed up to be a rewards member.
We stayed here a couple of years ago and had a very nice room. The place looks great from the outside, but our room this time was really disappointing. The floor was very dirty and needed a thorough vacuuming. The sofa bed was quite filthy and very uncomfortable even for sitting . We spread out newspapers to avoid the dirty upholstery. The place was okay but not anything special. We stayed for six nights while cleaning out an apartment due to the death of a family member. We mostly wanted a king-size bed and quiet nights away from freeway noise. The room provided that, and the bed was very comfortable with lots of extra pillows--much appreciated by tired, aching bodies. The pool was outdoors and was closed due to temperatures being in the teens.
Stayed here for 4 nights while visiting Denver. Motel is clean and convenient to I-70. It's an older place, but it seems well maintained. Employees were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was typical: waffles, cereal, and rolls. It's across the street from a large shopping mall. Motel is located in between I-70 and West Colfax Avenue (both busy roads), but I had a room facing the swimming pool and had no noise issues. Traffic on West Colfax Avenue is very heavy, and making a left turn out of the motel driveway can be difficult (there is no traffic light), but you can make a right turn and a U-turn if necessary. It's about 20-30 minutes to drive into downtown Denver. Heads up: The motel also adds a 3% "green sustainable fee" onto the bill. My reservation ended up being $8 more than I was quoted through Days Inn's web site. I'm not sure if this is an actual tax or a sneaky fee like "safe warranties" and "telephone fees" that motels have been adding in recent years. The desk clerk seemed unaware of the fee and could not explain what it was for or if I could opt out of it.
Great value and location if your going to the mountains. Very convenient right off interstate 70.
Next to and across the street from shopping centers with restaurants, stores, bars, movie theaters, etc. Convenient to I-70, W Colfax and West 6th Ave An older hotel, but very clean with excellent furnishings. Very convenient to restaurants, shopping and entertainment. Remarkably quiet. Staff was very competent. Would stay there again anytime and recommend to anyone else
I have stayed at this motel before. Every time has been so-so service. This time we were there for a very unfortunate family event & not in the best of moods. We checked in around 10:30 pm after a long day of work & then travel. Aretha at the front desk was amazing! She was cheery & made very professional! She eased some of our stress & made the start of our stay great! The room was comfortable & quiet.
My husband and I enjoyed our four night stay at this motel. I really appreciated the fact that there were hard wood floors. It made it feel cleaner. Desk clerk was the same one each time we needed to go to the lobby. Felt like my friend by the end.
This was one of the better Days Inns I've ever stayed in. The location was perfect, close to a lot of attractions and amenities, including red rocks amphitheater. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was fairly clean.
