The staff was nice and courteous. Bed was comfortable and had all the convienice of home away from home.

hotel was really nice and clean... nice location.. staff were extremely helpful and nice.. i had to check out few days early and they could accommodate... would definitely recommend.

Besides some valet parking issues, the stay was great.

First of all, this is not a Holiday Inn. That is very deceiving because that's what I thought I had purchased. It is actually the Comfort Inn and it will convert to the Holiday Inn in September. After I checked in, I arrived to my room where it was infested with roaches. I was planning to stay for 2 nights and I was traveling with my 3 kids (ages 2 - 9). The minute we walked into the room, without even turning on the light, my oldest kid found 3 roaches. I was so disgusted I turned around and went back to the front desk and told them I couldn't stay in that room. They told me that was the only room available. So I left that hotel. It was in a very loud and run down neighborhood. I didn't feel safe at all. They also charge $10 to leave your car in the lot IF there is space available. If there is no space, you need to leave the keys at the front desk or park on the street. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to no one. There are way better hotels out there near the DC area at a better rate and not infested with roaches.

This hotel was actually a Comfort Inn, which made it trickier to find. When I asked about this at the desk and said it was confusing, the woman indicated that it either was recently or would soon be a Holiday Inn Express, but it still wasn't very clear to me. My room was very hot and stuffy (probably 10-15 degrees warmer than the hallway, which was not very cool either), even after leaving the AC at max overnight.

I stayed at the Comfort Inn to research at National Archives and visit some friends. Due to the hotels location to the metro and the archive it proved a good location. Although the outside of the hotel looks old, the rooms have been (are) undergoing remodeling. My room was nice and clean. My biggest problem with the room was being on the sixth floor and it was not. The hallway was not air conditioned which made the entire floor warm and the little a/c unit the room had trouble keeping the room cool. Overall the staff was friendly and helpful, but I had some trouble at check-in because only one staff member was working and there was line of people waiting to check-in and the staff member accidentally overcharged me for parking (yes due to the lack of parking in the vicinity it cost 10 dollars a day to park). Although I think price is slightly too high, I would stay here again

Dirty, Disgusting, smells like an ashtray and is filled with construction workers. Please do not book this hotel, it will not actually be renovated to be a holiday inn until fall! Terrible and there is no place decent to eat within walking distance

Overall, you get what you pay for. The amenities and rooms are not that great, but it is worth the price in the general area. The hotel is not correctly listed on the website and that caused confusion when finding the location.

Hotel was was as expected. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Website does not have the hotel listed as the right name. I was expecting a holiday express and in fact it is a comfort inn.

I needed a hotel in Silver Spring and shopped around. This was my second stay here and so, from that, you can conclude that it was a good value. Popular with the middle school DC tour groups which can get unruly. But both my trips had well behaved groups on my floor that didn't make noise.

breakfast is nice. staffs are helpful. Packing of 10 dollars per day is too much.

Comfort inn was perfect for what we needed, just a place to crash for a couple nights. Location was fairly close to the children's hospital. Cheap, convenient place to sleep. Comfortable beds but no ESPN?!

Bad security: another guest accidentally was able to open my room with his card.

Hotel was great staff friendly and courtesy would Stay again. For the money it was a great value

not bad, the guy at the front desk was new, took long to check in , rm was semi decent. would stay again

The location was perfect for what I needed. The availability of a schutle to the metro was very useful.

Great place an very convenience location, close to downtown Silver Spring were you can find many restaurant and entertainment choices.

The staff was very nice, but I found hair that wasn't mine on the sheets and in the bathroom. My stay was safe, but the neighborhood and surrounding area was not a place I would stay after dark. Also, I didn't want to drive anywhere for fear of losing my parking space (which I paid extra for). There are better values to be had in surrounding neighborhoods.

Very clean and will definitely go back all the time there my husband and I

I enjoyed my experience at the Comfort Inn, Silver Spring. The location is great for my needs; the staff was friendly; the room clean; and the price right.
