Checkin was quick and courteous. The room was immaculately cleaned and smelled fresh. The bed was extremely comfortable. All in all a great experience ! I will most certainly stay again when in the Gastonia area.

Check-in was quick and convenient. Nice clean rooms and an excellent breakfast.

We were driving from Florida to Virginia for my Father's funeral. Last minute plans. Asked for a "bereavement rate". General Manager on duty ststed that since we booked through Expedia we had to talk to them about it. Managers at two other Marriott hotels gave the rate without any issues.

My room was exceptionally clean and the staff was very attentive and accommodating. The cookie and flavored water provided on my arrival were very welcoming and delicious. I had a very pleasant stay..

It was so clean when we went to check in. The rating was a 100 that's what I love to see. You always want to stay at hotel that is comfortable and clean. Breakfast could have been a little better but overall great.

This hotel is actually in my hometown and right around the corner from my home. My husband and I wanted to relax so we decided to stay here since we had never done so. The place is exceptional and conveniently located to the interstate and great eats in Gastonia. We invited our children to come swim in the very clean indoor pool and they loved it. It was a wonderful stay and I don't have any complaints. I will go again real soon.

I booked a stay from Monday-Thursday this week while visiting NC on business. I received a call Tuesday midday from the hotel manager who explained that someone would need to come in the following day (Wednesday) to do some work on the bathroom vanity. At that time I approved for them to come in the next day and perform the work. I returned to my room around 8 pm to a letter stating that I would have to change rooms for the following day. I went to the front desk to explain that I could change rooms that evening, however, I had a very busy schedule the next day and packing up and moving rooms in the morning was not an option. She said that she did not have any other rooms to change to that evening and offered to have me pack up my stuff and keep it behind the counter for the day Wednesday. As I was there on business and visiting several partners the next day, I would need a room throughout the day to use as a base station in case I needed to come back and test/swap out our equipment so that would not be an option. At that point she got the hotel manager on the phone. The hotel manager made it seem like this was my problem, not the hotel's. She gave me the same options and kept insisting that they only had one day to do the work on the vanity and that I would have to move in the morning, even when I made it clear how inconvenient that would be for me. She finally huffed that I could just stay in the room I guess but I would not be able to use the vanity for 24 hours. I told her that not being able to use the vanity was not an option and that I did not approve anyone coming into my room at that time because I felt very uncomfortable with the situation that was presented. When I left the next morning I put the do not disturb sign on my door to ensure that no one would be coming into my room while I was gone. I returned that evening to all of the things on the sink moved around. When I turned the water on in the sink, it ran black, and after awhile returned to clear. I called the front desk to let them know that I was not happy that someone had clearly come in to do work that I had said I was not comfortable with as well as that the water was black coming out of the sink. A half-hearted apology was issued and the woman told me she would let the manager know. No one was ever sent to see if the black water running was a problem or danger to me to use the sink. When I checked out the following morning, I let the gentleman at the front desk know what had occurred. He stated that he was the person who had entered my room because there was a problem with the floor above me. I was shocked that they had entered and dealt with the issue without notifying me, and that no one had followed up when I alerted them about the black water running out of the sink. He did not apologize, and stated that it was just something that they had to do. This whole ordeal was made me feel like that as a guest, I was the inconveniece. I am appalled that they would not appropriately book rooms to accomodate any maintenance that is needed. The way that the staff spoke to me regarding the issue and the lack of respect to honor my request to not have someone enter my room to perform the maintenance is also upsetting. The half-hearted or no apologies issued emphasized the lack of caring about their guests' comfort. Our company uses this hotel frequently for business travel, and we will not be using them or recommending them to partners for the future.

Room size- good King size bed- very comfortable Hot breakfast- outstanding with quick self-service features Convenience- perfect, easy in and out Recommendation- I will use Fairfield at every opportunity.

For the price I paid I was expecting a better hotel experience then what I received. The pool was not heated and is very cold. There were no pool towels in the pool area and I had to ask twice before we received them. There were no vending machines anywhere. The room was clean but the back of the t.v remote control was loose and coming apart. The staff was friendly but not prompt. Our double bed room only had 2 big towels so I asked for an extra towel and was told one would be sent to the room and that never happened. I would definitely not recommend this hotel unless the rooms were a lot cheaper.

fine hotel, good location close to shopping and restraunts

Was in Charlotte for a funeral location was easy to get to the Church. Had my oldest grandson with me so the pool was an extra benefit for him. Staff was heloful and cleaning service was excellant

We stay at this hotel 2-3 times a year. It is our staycation getaway. We love to take advantage of the indoor pool. The staff is always friendly. The rooms have always been clean, and the breakfast is amazing.

The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good and hotel and room were very clean. I will definitely use fairfield Inn again.

It was in a great location for what we needed, offered the amenities we needed (pool, hot tub and exercise room) and had a good breakfast in the morning. My only suggestion would be to recommend the hotel not use Styrofoam bowls for use in the microwave for breakfast. It is very unhealthy for the people eating out of them and the people around the microwave when the chemicals are released. It was all that I noted, though. Thank you.

It was a lovely place to relax and spend downtime. Clean and organized rooms, nice staff and relaxing atmosphere. I hope to go again soon!

We had a wonderful stay, great help in selecting area resturants, even if the Texas road house was always more than an hour wait, we will try it next trip. Thank you so much.

Great location for my business purposes; lots of restaurants nearby; comfortable room and good basic breakfast. wireless internet wokred pretty well; only got bumped out once.

I stayed actually twice, once on the way in and on the way out to go to the mountains. My room and bathroom was VERY clean both times. The bathroom was very small and the rooms are small. The TV was okay but the menu to order movies was having issues. The staff were very nice and attentive. My alarm clock had an issue and they immediately brought me a new one. The location is good. Gastonia is easy to navigate and there was a mall and target nearby so I was able to get things I needed. The only thing I wished the hotel had was laundry facilities. Overall the value was fantastic and I was very happy it was so clean. I am pretty picky about that. I didn't have the breakfast because I wanted eggs and there was a waffle house and cracker barrel across the street that were VERY reasonably priced.

Friendly staff and a nice clean room. The bed was relatively comfortable and there were plenty of restaurants near by.

My husband and I really enjoyed staying there. The staff was very friendly. The cleanliness of the room and the pool area was one of the best I have ever in a hotel.
