My family and I recently stayed at your property and our visit was great. However, when we were coming in to check in, my mother and sister both lost their balance and fell outside. Nothing serious, they are fine now but when I went in to ask for assistance, Cindy jumped right up. At first I thought she couldn't handle it, but she explained that she used to work in an assisted living and she was fine. Well, she got my mother and sister right up like it was nothing. Associates like Cindy are a true asset to your property. Thank you Cindy for all your help!!
Excellent hotel in a great location. Near popular local shops and dining. The hotel staff was friendly and offered us the choice of which floor we wanted upon arrival. Our room was well equipped, clean and modern. The bed was probably the best part. VERY comfortable. We only stayed one night and did not access the amenities such as the pool/spa or bistro. However, everything looked very nice and well maintained. If you are staying an extended time you would be very comfortable considering all the amenities in the rooms and on site. Only gave 4 out of 5 because the prices are a bit steep in my opinion considering they do not offer free breakfast (not even continental).
Most Pleasant and relaxing stay. It is A perfect location across from Birkdale Village commerce and outdoor eating/parks. Room clean, quiet and great balcony Overlooking hills and woods of Lake Norman area. Not new, not old... just very clean And relaxing helpful staff in Great location. We could truly Slow Down. If you enjoy boats... Freedom Boats Near by and overall a great stay With great staff. Enjoy!
Friendly staff, fairly clean, very convenient location, good shower pressure.... still confused on where all the light switches were. Overall it was a nice experience and we will probably stay here again.
We have stayed here multiple times and the renovations done make this facility that much nicer and comfortable. What was especially nice was to see the same great staff time after time. Speaks volumes for the management team. Keep up the great work and see you next month.
My first room had a broken air conditioner that made it feel like a rain forest in the room. And the shower head was pointing towards the back wall of the tub/shower so that you had to stand at the back to get wet. It couldn't be moved. The room was dirty too -- food on the phone and remote control. If you call the reception desk too - no one answers. My second room (second night) was better but the toilet wouldn't flush unless you held the handle down. This room was better but still just not up to par with any other Marriott I've stayed in. The place needs a remodel badly and probably better management overall.
This hotel is conveniently located...and that's about it! Number one...it's not cheap...it's a Marriott, so I expected better. The staff was not polite and we are Gold members with Marriott and should have been given complimentary water upon check-in. We had to ask for water and the woman was rude and didn't believe us and looked it up before she would surrender 2 bottles of water. Also this is the only Marriott that I have ever stayed in that there was NOT a complimentary breakfast included with your stay. Hotel is in need of updating too! Really missed the mark on this one Marriott!
This is probably more of a 3 star rating. I gave it an extra star for location. It is in a strategic part of Lake Norman area. First off, how in the world did Trip Advisor approve that Surfer dude review for this hotel? Looked totally fake. Either that or the "bruh" fell off his board too many times. I stayed in room 100, which is a 2 room suite. There were no housekeeping issues, which is a good thing. It loses, however, 1 star right off the bat because the tvs are too small. 32" tvs, especially in the living room, is not acceptable in modern hospitality. The other star deduction, which I gave back because of location, was for room quality. Design is quirky with lots of wasted space, lacked modern design, bathroom needs immediate renovation, and in general needs gutted and totally renovated. They even have wall unit AC. Been awhile since I have seen that. Staff at checkin was friendly, and properly recognized my status. Housekeeping did ignore my late checkout and the privacy sign and tried to do my room early anyways. They should look at the late checkout list first. Room was quiet and I had a very comfortable night sleep. I don't think you will have a bad stay here, but there might be nicer hotels in the area.
Let me say first, I'm a siiick surfer, dude! I recently got back from a trip to San Jose to see the San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles, and I wanted to cool down and surf the Atlantic! I recently opened my DVD Player, bruh, and guess what I found! A check for $6,712.98!!! I thought, "Man, I could get a siiiiiiick surfboard with this moo-lah, but I think I'll just take a vacay, bay-bay!!! I wanted to visit the awesome Wells Fargo History Museum in Charlotte, and also hit the waves, BRUH!! I FREAKING LOOOVVVVEEEE WELLS FARGO, THEY GIVE ME FREE CHECKING ACCOUNTS!!! The best I can do to give back is surf all alone, and maybe visit their museum too. So, I went to this hotel. When I got into my room, I realized: THERE IS A COFFEE MAKER, AN ELECTRICALLY-POWERED ICEBOX, AND GET THIS: A TOILET, DUDE!! Oh yeah, there was also a FREE DECK!! I would never forget to bring my hammer with me on vacation, so I took off the deck with the hammer. I brought the wood back to my house (because I think it was free, dude) and made myself a FREE SURFBOARD!!! When I checked back in to the hotel, I got the same room, BRUH! Overall, I give the hotel 6 stars because the microwave wasn't the best. It was great!!!
Stayed weekend to visit college with daughter. Hotel was good for the price. A little on the older side in the room and bathroom but adequate for short stay. Update lobby and dining area with good food. Friendly staff. Pool, hot tub and fitness room available. Only complaint would be bad wifi. Would stay here again.
