The location is central to everything. Considering how close it is to the action, our room was very peaceful and comfy. Highly recommend.

It's a lovely hotel, but the front desk service was disappointing. One receptionist claimed that tips for the maid should be left at the front desk... and then the maid said that she never got them. (The other front desk people had no knowledge of this policy, so perhaps this person simply saw an opportunity to pocket some cash?) Another person, in a clear effort to push the breakfast at the attached restaurant, claimed the bagels we were after were never served in Charleston. (Spoiler: they are.) It was just a general nose-in-the-air dishonesty, which was a real shame, because the rest of the stay was great.

I liked everything. Staff was wonderful, courteous and attentive.

A very weak wi-fi signal in our room caused problems. Room was not made up on day 2. Needed more shampoo, washcloths and the bed was still unmade after an entire day touring. Not the kind of service one would expect from the Relais and Chateau network. Day 3, we asked for the room to be made up and it was. I’ve stayed in plenty of high-end hotels, and I’ve never before had to ask for the room to be tidied (we did not leave a mess, but still....)

The staff was exceptional and made our 30th anniversary extremely memorable and supremely comfortable! We had dinner at Peninsula Grill and it was fantastic! The Meyer ribeye was probably one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten! The coconut cake lives up to the hype too! Highly recommended hotel!

Everything from check in to check out was easy and quick. The room was spacious and beautiful. The bed was really comfortable and everything looked new. It was very elegant.

Perfect location for a Charleston vacation! Right in the middle of everything! Love the old feel of this beautiful hotel. A lovely, historic, beautifully decorated hotel. Will definitely book again.

Easy check-in & excellent responsiveness to our needs. Valet parking fast & friendly as we needed our car off & on during our stay. Good sized rooms & well kept. Peninsula Grill always a joy to experience, but FIG, just up one block, was our winner for an overall stunning culinary experience. Will definitely be back to the Plantar's Inn......thanks!

Friendly staff, near the historic district, amazing rooms and close to multiple food, drink and shopping areas. Staying at this hotel made our trip even more wonderful.

Dear Guest, Please pardon our housekeeping oversight, this is not our standard and we try to go into each room at least twice during the day to ensure you have anything you need and turn down your bed. We will have our IT department look into the wi-fi signal to correct this issue immediately and appreciate your feedback in order to correct our shortcomings. Best regards,
