Rooms were lovely but were often not made up until very late in the day.

Excellent stay! Highly recommend it. Great location...excellent service...awesome amenities

The property was beautiful and the staff was very accommodating and welcoming.

Was not impressed with the pool, there are no steps, only ladders. The food at the pool bar took way too long to arrive. (The food was very good). The shower head in my room kept falling downward and was broken. The bathtub grout needed repairing. The vanity mirror was loose on the wall. For express checkout you are supposed to call the front desk to tell them you are checking out. I tried calling twice and did not get an answer so I ended up having to go to the front desk. There was no line but only one person working and she was on the phone. This was at 8:00 am, so After waiting a few minutes I ended up just leaving my room keys and writing my room number on a piece of paper. The facility was clean but I just think that for more than $300 a night, it is overpriced for what the amenities are.

It is a first class hotel with outstanding service in a perfect downtown location. Staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Chris at front desk who went out of his way in exhibiting the hospitality that comes so easily from staff

Beautiful property in the heart of it all. Plenty of food options and shopping, both on property and nearby.

This hotel is excellent in every respect. The staff is attentive and efficient. The rooms, common areas, and restaurants are all outstanding, and the location is in the center of the historic area.

We loved the Belmond location was great very walkable location. Room was clean and well maintained. The staff was awesome. We were at the Consigliere desks every day for dinner reservations and tours. They were very helpful gave us great choices and we enjoyed every suggestion. This was a 5 star experience!

Perfectly located! Beautiful hotel, excellent service. We stayed on the Club Level and food variety was also excellent only they didn't keep it warm enough.

Excellent accommodations and responsive courteous staff!

Beautiful hotel and friendly staff! We loved the entire experience!

Great hotel centrally located in the heart of the city. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The club level and rooms were great. The quality of the offerings and the service were amazing on their club level. It was the perfect end to a very busy week while visiting in the area - wish we were able to stay the whole week there. Our room was right behind the elevators (which had me a bit concerned) ... but you wouldn't even know it. There was an occasional humming sound but hardly noticeable and definitely not distracting.Would love to go back. Just be sure to check your bill, as valet service was billed to room but we did not have a car to valet.

The room was beautiful, comfortable and clean. The hotel staff was kind and helpful. The pool and rooftop area was phenomenal for our family. We love this hotel!

Nice accommodations & convenient location!! Staff is very friendly& helpful.

Excellent location excelkent hotel. However it would be nice if some comfortable sitting areas available in lobby. This would be useful when waiting for transportation, registering, etcc. Few hard benches without back support only sitting available

Perfect girls weekend. Hotel close to awesome shops, fantastic restaurants and blocks from the water. Beautiful hotel.

Very clean, comfortable, and the staff was exceptionally helpful and polite. The best location in ‘historic Charleston’. A wonderful experience in every way. I tend to stay away from ‘hotel resturants’ but the Charleston Grill is as good as any in Charleston and that’s a quite high bar to get over! A very well run 5 Star hotel. The only disappointment was the “House and Garden Tour” (which is not connected to the Belmont). The gardens were a huge disappointment and you don’t get to go inside a single home. I rate it just barely above a ‘scam’ at $50/ person. We’re from Wilmington and not one would have possibly been considered as qualifying for their garden tour. Most of the docents were fine but some were arrogant and rude; Southern Hospality?
