Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel

We travelled to Baltimore for my sons 2nd birthday. We got there a little early and the hotel was able to check us in right away. Awesome!! Hotel view was great on the harbor. My son loved seeing the ships. After dinner we came back to the hotel where we met Gary or “uncle Gary” as we referred to him for the rest of our stay. I believe he was a member of the concierge staff in the evening and I didn’t catch his last name. What an awesome guy. He took the time to have a little fun with my son. Gave him some toys to play with but to top it off he had a birthday cake sent to our room for my son. What an awesome gesture. He was very excited to get that cake and it made his trip that much better!! Thanks Gary, for everything you did for us on our trip. We will definitely come back to stay!!

Although the lobby looked like. 4 star hotel, the room was 3-stars. It looked like a typical hotel room. Nothing special about it.

View was excellent. Birthday cake delivered to room (cake - thin layer pound cake with thin dark chocolate & topped chocolate gauche whip cream blueberries) so good. If you get breakfast included in package it is worth it. They have everything - chefs making omelets & waffles, fruits, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, cereals & pancakes. Buffet style and with harbor view. Mall next door.

Wasn't able to get the room I had booked and couldn't check into my room until after 11 pm. That was disappointing. Received free parking however. The woman helping at front desk was super nice and accommodating within her power.

Hotel staff was very accommodating & friendly. The hotel was convenient to the harbor, shopping & restaurants. We enjoyed our stay.

Loved the convenience to the Harbor, Market Square, Fells Point, Little Italy, Charles Street corridor....

From the moment getting out of our rental vehicle to getting to the room the staff could not have been more accommodating

Nice hotel, Clean room, friendly staff but expensive. There was no microwave or coffee maker. They charge $30 for self parking and $45 for valet parking. Didn't find out until after we self parked that you have to park valet if you want in-and-out parking. Self parking required payment each time you leave. Wifi is not free, $13/a day per device. Downtown location was nice with multiple restaurants (big name food chain, no local seafood places). There were many places under $310 (room rate for one night) that has free parking and wifi and close to local seafood places. I'll try a different place next time.

Very nice place, very close to all the attractions

The hotel doesn't include free parking, nor does it include complementary breakfast. Our room was near the elevator and was extremely loud despite the quiet hours sign. Please were talking up and down the hallway, slamming doors, you could even hear the traffic outside while on the 8th floor. I had to call many times during the night due to a party going on next door to me and into the hallway. As nice as the view was over the harbor, I wouldn't stay there again.

Staff was very accommodating and met our few requests without any issues. They even allowed for to check in early.

Very nice hotel with the perfect location for inner harbor fun. Hotel is clean, rooms average+, staff excellent.

Checked in and was told I was getting an upgrade. What I got was a meeting room with a bed that folded down from the wall. When asked if I could change, the manager said all rooms were assigned that they could switch me in the morning. Was told I would be comped for the night - this did not happen. Next morning I was moved to a beautiful room overlooking the bay. But there was no comp as had been promised. I believe management is dishonest.

This Hotel is at the best location, it's very clean and convenient to everything.

We were disappointed with our stay at the Renaissance. There's only one set of elevators to the rooms and the building is configured like a big rectangle. If you are on the opposite side of the building (like we were), you have to walk all the way around to get to your room. I recommend requesting a room by the elevator. We had a two night stay and our rooms never got cleaned. Housekeeping came at 3 PM when we had returned from the aquarium. We said we were leaving again in 5 minutes and when we returned that night, the rooms were not cleaned. The indoor pool is highly over chlorinated and turned everyone's eyes red. The hot tub had a one inch layer of foam on it both days we were there.

We had a wonderful experience. The hotel was clean and close to everything we wanted to do. Baltimore Inner Harbor is a beautiful place to visit.

We thought the location and views were spectacular! The only thing we were dismayed by was the automatic tip for room service, which was ridiculously high/ignorant for the service.

My room had great view of the harbor. Very clean, quite an walking distance from everything. Front desk, concierge an doormen all professional, helpful a just nice folks. I will be staying at this hotel in my next visit very soon.

The friendly staff was eager to carry out any requested task with speed and thoroughness. The pizza from room service was delicious….great place for children given close proximity to aquarium.

Loved the hotel, staff and location. The view was amazing, the room was perfect but the one thing that I wasn't happy about was you have to pay for Wi-Fi. I dealt with it because I was only staying overnight but I plan on going back to Baltimore soon for a longer stay but not at this hotel. I will pick a hotel with free Wi-Fi, especially for what I paid for the hotel room itself.
