Before booking this place I read the reviews and of course saw the pictures. I was wary at first but I wanted to give it a shot due to the history. The place looks exactly like the pictures, however, the room is not up to par. Let’s start with the bathroom. It’s okay. I was worried the water was going to be cold but to my surprise it was not. The beds are comfortable but does not have That extra cover you’d like(if you like to sleep in the cold) overall it was decent. The view fantastic. Nothing but building but if your mindset is set to view buildings you’re good to go. To finalize this review it was an amazing experience I was looking forward to. Would recommend if you are looking to be in an old, ancient building with modern hallways, stairs and a old room with a good view.

The property did not have ANY of the amenities offered online which they blamed on covid! However, the pandemic has been two years which gives plenty of time to update that online! It was FaLSE ADVERTISING! You pay over $220 a night and have no robes, mini bar or down blanket! Just awful! Never again! And i used $70 orbitz bucks! Disgrace

The lobby was very nice. The shower had very little water pressure. The area surrounding the hotel is not nice.

Beautiful property excellent location

Excellent hotel. The bathroom could use an upgrade. The shower was not pleasant.

Nice Hotel with friendly staff.

I loved the look of the property. It’s decorated nicely with vintage decor. The high ceilings in the rooms were perfect and the bed was comfortable.

Conveniently located to major restaurants and attractions. Rooms were dated to the period but the lobby more than made up for it. Historically impressive

The check in desk was not very helpful, and they didn't offer any of the basic information like parking or the floor my room was on. They didn't offer breakfast even though advertised it when I booked but they provided a credit. Just overall disappointing for a 4 star hotel, I expected more.

The history and architecture

This hotel was beautiful. We always love staying in a Kimpton, and though I could tell this was a little aged, it was still really pretty. The bed was super comfortable. After a day of traveling, I sunk into the comfy mattress and pillows and slept like a rock. Due to the pandemic, a lot of amenities that make a Kimpton great were unavailable. No comfy robes, the snacks were available, but you had to go downstairs to get them. Same with ice buckets and coffee. The (absolutely delicious) restaurant was only open for dinner in late June 2021, so though we paid for breakfast in advance, they refunded our purchase when we checked in. On our first day, we came to the lobby for our coffee, but the urn was empty. The woman at the front desk was lovely and directed us to a great restaurant for breakfast and coffee. The hotel had a ton of info telling us about how clean they kept it, but our windowsill, the back of the TV, desk and phone were incredibly dusty. Like they hadn't been touched in months. One lamp had no lightbulb in it. The rest of the room seemed clean, but one whole section seemed neglected. The surrounding area of the hotel could use a little love. Our room looked out onto a large tarp over the parking garage. The valet was no longer 24 hours (due to COVID...understandable) and the city seemed pretty deserted. Definitely not a bad experience and a cozy place to lay our heads, but not the Kimpton experience I've come to love.

It was cold the heat wasn’t working right we was freezing

It has an historic look Reminiscent of an old bank. Cool place. Will go again. Bathroom was 👍

they only offer parking if you stay atleast two nights.
