Staff is great....they all have great customer service.

I arrived in Austin very early in the morning and needed to find a location that would check me in after hours. I was told that my he would include a full day but when I checked out I was told that I would be charged another full day for the 5 hours before normal check in, which I didn't think was fair. I haven't looked at my bill yet online, so I don't know what I was actually charged. I was expecting to pay one night and was told I would have to pay to. I hope we can work this out. Otherwise I was content with the lodgings but found a few details were less than acceptable. My door will not close all the way without a firm shove. Also, the door to the parking lot closest to my door would also not close easily and was often simply left a jar. I noticed there were some people who may or may not have been tenants who were hanging around outside, possibly just to smoke cigarettes, but they were propping the doors open and I wonder if the lock had been damaged for this purpose as well. It did not make me feel secure about the interior of the building. I also noticed there was a good number of dry leaves along the carpet. I imagined something like that might be cleaned on a daily basis, but it was not. Also, a service man knocked on my door and then let himself in to fix something that I did not ask front desk to handle. So apparently there is a gap in communication between the night shift and the morning shift.

Bugs and dirty socks in first room. Had to ask for everything including toilet paper and towels (which they were out of towels)

requested a non smoking room when making reservation 1 month ahead of time.when arrived from ohio, all they had was a smoking room that was dirty. we did not take the room & slept in the car.

Floors look like they get cleaned once a month. Dryers in laundry area takes a few cycles before clothes are completely dry. No staff at front desk over night

Hotel had spare beds in the hall, halls were long and changed levels on the same floor. Halls were clean but kinda drab. One of the things that could be good for a long stay is the fact that you can customize the accessories for the room. Like the plates and dishes. What was bad was when we checked in they did not tell us that. So we found no cups or glasses in the room, So we had nothing at all in the room and had to go back to the front desk just to get cups and glasses? The worst was there was old food scraps in the kitchen sink, which was really grouse. Not a good Hotel for just an overnight stay. Format might work better for a long stay but needs some attention to the details.

This was the worst places i have been at . Took the family out for a trip and this place is not suitable for a family. The place smelled, was dirty, the bed was smaller thab the frame, one of the electrical outlets was missing a cover. This place belongs in a tgird world setting. Please do not waste your money here, it is not woeth it. The grab and go food was stale muffins and watered down coffee.

I travel a lot and generally stay at hotels between $150.00 to $200.00 a night so I will try and be objective as possible. The exception like in this case is when my corporate office is closed and can't direct bill meaning I have to front the money and get reimbursed. Overall, the rooms are clean, comfortable, spacious and the location is great. Although this hotel is not run down it could probably use some upgrading and by that I mean modernize. The landscape looks pretty bad and is not maintained but I am sure they are looking for another company. Some people might disagree with the security deposit but I think it helps minimize the people who you probably don't want in the same hotel as you. They do have security but never once have I felt unsafe. The only interaction I have had with any of the employees is when I check in and check out. In this department I have to give 5 stars because of the excellent customer service I received from a lady named Brittany. She was very professional, hospitable, told me to let her know if I needed anything and made the check in process easy. She even asked me 15 minutes later how was my room and if there was anything else I needed to make my stay better. I don't know if Extended Stay corporate reads these reviews but if they do I hope they tell her that she is appreciated because after a long week of traveling the state its really nice to feel welcomed and appreciated as a guest.

I booked this hotel from out of town via a website and was immediately charged for the room. I drove 200 miles to get to Austin and thus this hotel. Check in was 3:00pm. I arrived and there was already a long line of flustered guests, and only one attendant. Seemed to be pretty understaffed. I felt a little sorry for the one person having to deal with the line, but a little less so when I realized what was causing the problem -- a neon green sign warned, in bold print, that there was a surprise $100 deposit or hold needed on a major credit card, or cash, for anyone checking in. So even though I had already paid for the room, I actually needed $100 more to check in. This amount, it turns out, would be refunded to guest "3 to 5 business days after checking out" if it was on a card. If the $100 was provided in cold, hard cash, it would take "7 to 10 business days" (2 weeks) for the corporate office to mail you a check! None of this was told to anyone of the guests, many of whom, like me, had booked the room on a website like the one I used here, without this surprise fee being disclosed. And the kicker is also, if you wanted to cancel right then and there because of this, it would again take something like 5 business days for the charge to be refunded on your card! If this warning had been mentioned at the hotel reservation page, and had been assessed at the time the rood was paid for in advance, it wouldn't be THAT big of a deal (still a bummer, though). But driving down from out of town to be hit with this whopper is above and beyond. I reserve rooms all the time at other places and am never hit with surprise fees like this. Bad policy. It was obviously upsetting the customers. It took me over half an hour to check into my room because of this mess. Unbelievably, they seemed to have a shift change right in the middle of all this process, which just led to more delays. The room itself was NOT worth the $96 and some odd cents it cost to book it (for one night), let alone the $100 more ($196 total to check in -- for ONE NIGHT only), and the staff was really unhelpful, not taking ownership of the policy - "I'm just an employee, I don't set policy." Of course, anyone that could set policy couldnot be reached. Definitely warning my friends to stay away from this hotel. Overpriced and entirely too complicated, and not worth the trouble. The location especially is not worth this amount of fuss. What a stressful stay!

The staff were very courteous but the room was a bit shabby - very old carpet combined with a musty smell walking in the room. The bathroom floor was dirty as well. The location was great and getting everywhere was a breeze. The price was very competitive so if you're goal is saving some $$$, go for it. Small children? Maybe not.

The hotel was very clean, no loud noise or sketchy hotel guest. Would stay here again.

I requested a non smoking room, but got a funky smoking room. I thought making a reservation, means I get what I buy. And why not charge me the $100 deposit when I bought the room online? That made things difficult for my trip. I won't be staying here again.

Where to start? This place was excellent. I originally had only planned on a one night stay, then one night turned into four consecutive nights. Every member of the staff was helpful and accommodating with all these last min changes in plans. And even though they could have made me switch rooms each day my stay was extended they did not. They met every need I want I could have possibly had. The hotel it self has had recent updating and the rooms are spacious, clean and the hotel is super affordable Great Job guys thanks for making it feel like home during my stay. You guys Rock

Here for work. the staff was friendly. And the price was great.

This hotel was great when taking into consideration that it lay a measly 25 minutes from "the good stuff" (6th Street, Capitol Building, Airport). It also came at a good price and the staff gave us great service. The quality of the room was a different story however. The carpet was heavily stained, the dishwasher was falling out of it's designated area, the ventilation fan in the bathroom was broken (as well as almost all towel racks), and the walls had several holes. With all of this in mind, the important features were there, it served it's purpose, and it was a good price.

Worst part was the mattress, kind of itchy so may be bugs is the cause. shower room fixtures need replacing. the bath tub sink was corroded and rusted can cause an infection if you get cut. the shower rod was ripped from previous attachment and the hole on the wall was patched with toilet paper which was peeling. The carpet by the rest room had many stains. breakfast was coffee, muffins, granola bars, and 2 type of fruits , just grab and go as they have posted.

Location, value & convenience makes this a place to stay if your in Austin for a couple of days or a week r more.

My husband and I were in for the weekend to see the MotoGP race, so prices were a little inflated. We had booked through into a non-smoking room, but when we got there they put us in a smoking room. After saying we were going to report the incident, they put us up in an executive suite (though we were told to only use one side) that was non-smoking. The bathroom was very small and a little dank. The carpets definitely needed to be redone. The "continental breakfast" was oatmeal with water or pre-packaged muffins. Overall, it was alright for the amount of time my husband and I actually spent in the room, but I wouldn't search it out to stay there again.

This hotel was great! It was close to all my activities and a Walmart as well. There were plenty of places to eat close by. The staff was super nice!! The price was great for what we got.

The hotel needs some work. It's semi clean, but not horrible.
