I really enjoyed the pool and staff. Also, everything seemed cleaned and followed protocol needed for covid. I really enjoyed my stay.

We stayed at the Westin in Downtown Austin over Labor Day weekend 2020. One of the main attractions of this hotel was the rooftop pool/bar. Unfortunately while checking in we were told that reservations were required to occupy the pool area. There were no open reservations for our first day, we were able to book a reservation for the following evening but you’re only allowed 2 hours in the pool area. This was a HUGE disappoint for us and we felt mislead, there should be a disclaimer on their website about these limitations. Also there were guest from a prior time slot that continued they’re time in the pool area way past their time slot. Another issue we had was parking, they only have Valet parking, no self parking provided or offered. Upon arrival there were 2 lines of cars on the side of the road waiting for Valet. The lines stretched all the way to the corner of the next street. Luckily we found a parking garage in walking distance (5 min) two blocks to the West, Called Little Field Garage. You’re able to park overnight at Little Field for a daily rate of $24. There is some metered parking around the hotel but after midnight the streets are closed to allow people to walk freely on the streets without the interference of traffic. Even after checking in you’ll easily find yourself waiting in line for an elevator since they only allow 2 people in an elevator at a time due to covid. On the plus side you’re able to walk a few minutes to several restaurants as well as food tru

Check in was great . Lady That checked me in was friendly and made me feel super welcomed. Evening staff wasn’t as pleasing and quite rude. Upon check out I was told the bar was still serving breakfast 10:50am Got to the bar sat down and by the time server/bartender was able to get to me she rudely said ; “what do you want? Cause we are already closed!” All I wanted was a latte . After her response, I stood up grabbed my bags and left . Room: Shower box had some black mold on the bottom part on the glass. Ugh. Disgusting! Curtains don’t block the sun entirely so if you’re a night owl and enjoys sleeping in be aware. Location: Amazing ! Rooftop pool: Staff friendly

Rooms were clean and modern. We loved the marble nightstands. We didn’t like that there wasn’t free parking. $53 for valet. Also the top floor pool was fillled to the brim. We decided to skip it.

Nice hotel, but the pool is a bit too small and not a lot of space of the rooftop for chairs, etc...overall though nice stay!

Very nice breakfast area, excellent service. Rooms were good as well.

Loved the rooftop bar! Would have been nice to have a happy hour for guests. I am a Marriott Rewards member and thought that I wouldn't have a problem getting a least an hour more late check out so I can go to church and return to change for our flight home. No they did not accommodate and yet the other two couples that I was traveling with that requested late check out were allowed 3 extra hours!!!

They didn’t honor my reservation. The cancelled the day of

Hotel pool was open to public and over run by young college students - resulting in a Vegas pool party style atmosphere. We chose this hotel SPECIFICALLY because it had a rooftop pool and being 100 degrees that weekend, we wanted to be able to enjoy it. There was NO place to sit at the pool and not even five feet of space inside the pool. Pool area was PACKED the entire time. Also have to be 21 years or older, and of course one of our guests was not 21. No where in the listings or website does it state that the pool is essentially un-useable for guests due to the aforementioned. Since we booked through Orbitz, our room was prepaid and we could not switch hotels. When talking to staff about this issue, they were absolutely NO HELP and stated had nothing but attitude saying they deal with this everyday and management is "figuring it out." Waste of money.

Hotel was great and in a great location! Walking distance to everything we wanted to see.

Great hotel. Great location. Great staff. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a nice centralized location in Austin.

good stay. clean room. comfy bed.

The hotel was very clean, Great staff, fun hotel and perfect location !

Sowewhat in the middle of the bar district, but just a couple blocks from restaurants and shops. The Capital and the Lake (?) are both within walking distance

Good high end hotel. I wish we had a microwave somewhere. The rooftop jst doesn'nt like to expectations. the ambience is fine. It's just that pool is pathetic and made for a child.

The staff at the downtown Westin, upon arrival could not have been better. The hotel was clean, well kept and uniquely trendy. Extremely convenient to dinning, music and entertainment. We will be. Sick!

ACL weekend and the location couldn't have been better.

Very much enjoyed our stay. Rooms were clean and updated. The staff were attentive, walked you to the elevator so you don't get lost. It was a short walk from the capitol building and other attractions. The only negative i could think of is the the pool was crowded, but that's not something the hotel can control. It was a hot summer day, so that's a given.

Very good location to fine restaurants and entertainment in downtown Austin. Exceptionally nice quiet, clean hotel with friendly helpful staff. Pool was very crowded on a hot summer Saturday afternoon, but found a place to sun and a comfy cabana with shade. Great view from the rooftop pool with full bar. Zach, from valet, was like our own concierge when he suggested local restaurants and even called ahead for us to check wait time for a party of 8.
