The hotel was very nice. We did have trouble checking in with our Orbitz reservation. The hotel couldn’t find the reservation. We also had to call down to the front desk several times because our room wasn’t stocked with clean towels after the first night. We also didn’t have extra toilet paper in the room. The staff was very nice though.

Gym is very nice. Didn’t care for the location much. Overall we enjoyed our stay

Very beautiful hotel For the bar and conference room but the rooms are a little bit smaller but still very nice

Nice, helpful staff. The room was well presented with comfortable beds, good television and modern décor.

Comfortable. Would recommend to others or use it again.

Our trip was delayed by 3 hours so our arrival time was 11:30p instead of 8:30p after a long work week and 8 hour drive. The young man who checked us in (he is from Harlingen - cannot recall his name) was so kind to us wearied travelers. We were so hungry. Of course the warm cookies hit the spot but he threw in a sandwich and some fruit after we asked if we could buy them from the vending area. It was just enough to stop our growling tummies. We love the bed and the towels. The room (455) wasn't as quiet as we would have liked but overall the stay was great. We joined hhonors so hope to be staying at more Doubletree locations in the future.

Great amenities! Beautiful decor, well kept space! The Pool and gym were relaxing and the bar staff was very helpful. The entire place is modern and accessible.

This is a great hotel. Very helpful and friendly staff.

At a glance, this place resembles the photos and has a "modern "feel, however, it is either a very old place with some paint slapped over everything or an extremely poor construction job. Definitely not Doubletree standards. The staff is very unwelcoming and unfriendly. The walls are paper thin. Would not stay here again.

If you think you are getting a regular DoubleTree experience you will be disappointed. Check in was a surprise. I checked DoubleTree website prior to booking through Orbitz to confirm that pets are ok. They are. But, what they don't tell you is about their new policy to charge an additional $75 at checkin. Also, if you think you are going to get the classic DoubleTree chocolate chip cookie at checkin, think again; no such luck here. If you read their hotel booklet in the room, they state that their hospitality doesn't stop at the chocolate chip cookie but it simply wasn't there. Our room was acceptable. But, the toilet was backed up and clogged upon arrival. Also, the hotel was just simply noisy at all hours. I had to work until 2 in the morning while my family slept. There were people loudly swearing in the hall way until long after I wrapped up and they same loud people woke us up early in the morning. The door to the outside and pool area was very loud. Despite the fact that the pool closes at 10, it was not enforced. There was a party at the pool until very late that were not only loud, but extremely lewd, to the extent that I would not let my kids swim in there the next day. All in all, very disappointed with the new DoubleTree experience and simply not worth the $130/night we paid. We would have been much better off with a B'n'B or a VRBO/AirBNB.

I enjoyed my stay. I got I very late and staff were friendly.

loved my experience. Love the decor. Front desk was awesome and i love that they text us to check on us. Alexandra was awesome!

My wife stayed here for a quick one night work trip. She had a horrible experience, the A/C unit in the room was not working and there were plumbing issues in the bath room (foul smelling/looking water was coming "up" into the shower/tub). She notified the front desk and they simply stated "ok, thank you for letting us know, we will get it fixed". They never attempted any type of service recovery and never offered to move her to another room, which she thought meant that they will be fixing it immediately. NOPE!! they never came to the room to fix it and needless to say, she left the hotel dissatisfied the following morning with no explanation. I am HHonors member and that doesn't seem to mean anything to them. Beware of this hotel !

I stayed here for work because it was inexpensive and close by my meetings. The room cleaniness was awful. There was a massive pubic hair next to the bed. I put a sheet of paper over it because it was scary. The next day, room service did not even bother to clean this. The smell of the room was also horrible. It felt dirty and dingy. It was a very depressing place.

The room was beautiful! However, our rooms Windows looked into the lobby bar and the windows were thin so we could hear everything going on in the bar until after midnight. I had two small kids with me and I booked the room because it had a pull out sofa, but the window right next to the pull out bed didn't have a curtain and the same noise problem so they ended up sleeping in my bed. I paid a lot of money for that room and expected a better set up. The staff was very friendly and helpful but there were no other rooms available.

Clean and quiet nothing to complain about. Just a bit tricky getting to the motel you have to pass it up in order to get back to it, But other than that it was a nice place to stay close to nice places to eat and close to downtown

Very nice room with jacuzzi tub. Reserved a room with a balcony but got ground level. It worked out fine though. Went outside on the grass and watched the fireworks for the 4th of July which were just up the river from the motel. NICE PLACE. NICE LOCATION!

Great hotel!! Just bad location for ACL, because must take a taxi & costs about $20. Good experience overall though!!!
