The description regarding soundproofing was not accurate. Noise from neighboring rooms— including conversations and bathroom sounds—could be heard clearly. The room itself was a comfortable size, though the bathroom was quite small. Overall, the location was very convenient

There was no ac they were very rude and it was roaches plus the room was 85 and it was no air it was 73 out side I didn’t get the room seen on line and the patio was under construction it was not pleasant stay

Staff was very kind, but the heat/air was messed up, it was about 76 in the room and the cool was blowing more hot air, tech came up to fix it and said it was the blowing hot air but it was about the best they could do… coffee maker never worked, asked for a new one waited for 45 min finally gave up and left, second night people screaming partying and slamming doors until about 1am… hotel halls and the room smelled like weed for 2 days straight… again staff was very kind and location was good though

I rarely leave negative reviews but my experience at the Beacon Hotel in DC was unacceptable. When I checked in the first room they gave me was already occupied which was awkward and concerning. The second room was over 90 degrees blowing hot air even after I set the thermostat to 63. When I called the front desk the staff apologized and said management had turned off the air conditioning for the season and all he could offer was a fan. After nearly an hour of dealing with unbearable heat I was finally moved to a third room. By that point the experience had gone from uncomfortable to exhausting. On top of that I was blindsided by a $65 parking fee with an additional 18 percent tax added to it which felt excessive and unreasonable. For the price and location I expected basic comfort and professionalism not this level of disorganization and surprise charges. I would not recommend staying here until they address serious issues with room management climate control and transparency about costs.

1. Horrible smell coming from bathroom and hallway on and off for periods of time. Disgusting. 2. Took 15 minutes for shower to heat up. 3. Sink faucet was leaking and dripping. 4. Sink faucet drain was broken. 5. Our key cards were inactivated before our check out time. 6. Dusty and moldy fan vent in bathroom. 7. Horrible hotel placement, as the beeping and honking from cars and traffic outside is so loud. It feels as if they are in the room with you. 8. Rooftop bar and hotel restaurant were BOTH closed. 9. With all that said, was ABSOLUTELY NOT worth the price paid to stay here. Would not recommend at all.

furniture was outdated, the only light in the room came from two lamps, the photos of the hotel website are projections for their remodel not the actual current state of the rooms which is very deceiving, they had no functioning toilet in the lobby or in their restaurant/bar, staff was not attentive their first priority was finishing a conversation with their coworkers before helping me, the guest.
