South Point is a reasonable price, away from the hustle and bustle and heavy traffic of the strip, with each parking. An easy location, beautiful room, and a bargain price.

It's really pleased to stay. There is a cinema inside South Point Hotel. The kids enjoy the movie. There are many dining options. My family love the Asian restaurant, Zenshin.

Reasonable prices throughout the resort from food to bowling. Although it's not in the middle of the strip, there's a lot to do and variety of food options that you don't need to leave anywhere. The only thing I can say bad is that the pool closes too early 8pm for it being summer. Otherwise pool was amazing. The staff was great, everyone was super kind. We will definitely be back. I loved it better than staying on the strip.

I paid extra for a room with a "view". The view ended up being the roof of the casino. There were spotlights on the roof at night that lit up our room every night. The design of the curtains did not black out the light. We ended up with bright light right across our faces all night. The elevators for our part of the hotel were run down and really slow, and often times got stuck. I was led to believe I was getting better pricing by buying on expedia. I found out my room rate was exactly the same as if I had booked with the hotel directly, but if I would have booked with the hotel, I would have gotten a $25 food credit and 2 free drinks. This would have been nice. Despite the Do Not Disturb sign and notifyi f the front desk at check-in that housekeeping services were not needed, we still had housekeeping knock on the door and try to clean the room. Toiletries were the small bottles and bar soap. I've stayed at older, more run down hotels that have the mounted bottles on the wall.

South Point review

Room is very nice and has everything needed to make staying easy. Has a gift shop open 24hrs for late night needs whether snacks or drinks. Lots of choices to eat at and is good for being in same place as bowling is. Only thing is wish they had a non smoking area in the casino to dilute the cigarette smoke as it is overwhelming at times to nonsmokers.

When we lived in LV South Point was our favorite casino. Now that we live out of state it is where we stay every time we return for visiting friends or to just play!!!! We remember Michael's restaurant when it was down on the strip... That is what you can call faithful customers/

On road trip to CA and came back to stay at Southpoint. Wow…my mom and I loved the spacious room, convenient movie theater, delicious buffet, and reasonable table minimums for blackjack. One of the best value luxury hotels in Vegas.

An OK place that has seen better days.

I've stayed here many times and knew it to be a mid level, but comfortable hotel. I was there for the casino. My last stay was 4 years ago and I felt like it was a little more shabby than before, but my biggest complaint was the temperature of the room. It showed 74 on the thermostat, but felt warmer. I turned it down to 65 (I like it cold when I sleep) and it never got below 70 on the thermostat in the 4 days I was there. If I hadn't brought a small personal fan for the plane ride, I don't think I would have slept at all. The other thing that bothered me was the quality of the toilet paper and tissues. I swear I would have gotten splinters if it didn't fall sorry. A small thing I know, but it added to the feeling of the decline I felt. The employees in the hotel, casino, restaurants, etc were great!
