Beautiful historic building.Quiet comfortable warm clean safe. 5 min from metro easy to get to museums all attractions waterfront etc. Lovely room excellent budget price. Only drawback view from window brickwall which made it dark. No coffee facilities in room. Bring travel kettle an coffee sorted. If I return to DC I will definitely stay there.

The property was convenient to the convention center. I love old architecture, but I was disappointed the hotel has not updated their security and key system. They lock the front entrance at night. I was out late during my stay and had to call the hotel for someone to buzz me in. They didn’t answer the door bell. That was kind of scary for a single woman traveling alone. The place was clean. Coffee and tea is in the lobby. The staff was nice. Great place to crash if you’re on a budget.

We knew this was the lowest priced hotel in DC, so our expectations were low. But we just needed a place to sleep. However, the front desk was ready for us. Very pleasant woman sang to us while checking us in. Everyone that worked the front desk was super nice! Our room was perfect. Full size bed, great closet & bathroom. Very clean. Our only concern was that housekeeping came in to make the bed and clean the room even though we didn't put the door hang out asking for it. We didn't want anyone in the room, but they came in any way. Check out was a breeze. Parking on the streets is free on the weekends. We walked to the White House, and several other destinations. It was a great surprise to have a great place to crash out and regroup!! Will definitely stay here when we come back!!

The room is super clean but there is too strong chemicals for cleaning like beach. I must turned on ventilator whole night. Staff is very nice. The cost is reasonable. It closes to Metro train and the White House and the national mall.

The reception smelled strongly of weed when we arrived around 2am, and the staff offered no help at all with parking. We were told to move our car by 7am to a private garage, which was very inconvenient after a late arrival. On top of that, the pillows were extremely uncomfortable.
