Wonderful! Convenient and sophisticated - all Icsn say!!

Great hotel with friendly staff, clean comfortable and luxurious rooms, quiet (my room faced the interior courtyard). This hotel is less than 3 blocks from the White House, and about a 15 minute walk from the National Mall, Smithsonian Museums, Washington Memorial, etc. Also very convenient to dozens of great restaurants. I'd definitely recommend and will be back! The blueberry mojitos in the restaurant were fantastic.

Very nice hotel. Welcoming staff and beautiful lobby. Room was awesome. Quiet and roomy. Very clean. Best hotel I've been in in a long time.

Great location and spacious room for our family of 5

Great staff, great location, just a stones throw from the White House.

EXCELLENT - STAFF COULD NOT BE BETTER! Thank you for making us feel WELCOME and at HOME.

Great location, & Staff.. I would well recommend it & hope to go back.

Nice hotel, staffs are so so, service needs to be improved.

I stayed at the Sofitel with my daughter over spring break. Its location and proximity to many DC attractions are its best features. The hotel is a bit on the small side, so has more a boutique feel. Rooms are reasonably comfortable and well appointed with nice bathrooms and an excellent large TV, though there isn't a lot of space to spread out. The hotel staff is all very friendly and attentive. Happily, the elevators are fast and always seemed to be available (not true of many hotels), with an excellent sitting area across from them on the lobby floor. The main drawback of the hotel is the absurd prices for most everything including the rooms themselves, minibar, and restaurant but I suppose that just reflects what the market will bear.

Overall was a pleasant stay, staff was friendly and helpful with accommodations.

Staff friendly including concierge and valet staff. Very helpful. Hotel is clean and quiet. Excellent fitness center.

We booked two rooms (1 king and one junior suite) for our five family members. Both were booked as having a "view" of the city. We checked in just after 3PM and was told the king room as ready and that the junior suite would not be ready in an hour. We checked into the king and stored all our luggage there. The "view" was the back alley brick wall. The clerk took down my cell phone number and said they would call when the junior suite was ready. We went sight-seeing nearby and never got a call. I called at 6pm and was told "oops", they should have called. We checked in, and the view from the junior suite was also a brick wall, but this time with a dumpster and loading dock. Very disappointed in that as I really wanted my family on their first DC trip to have some atmosphere from the hotel view. That was not to be. Otherwise the rooms were great, clean, comfortable and quiet.

Great location!!!!!!! The Hotel Staff was awesome !!!

The location can't be beat, just 2-3 easy blocks from the White House. Staff was very friendly. Only misses were: 1) Not enough towels; 2) No turndown service for our sofa bed, had to call; 3) Requested extra blankets and they never arrived. All corrected eventually, and clearly a first-world problem. But at these prices you'd expect to be on point.

Awesome location, great hotel, service was excellent. The bar is also great, enjoyed some time there with friends. Very convenient for area events. Rooms are very well kept and clean.

Great location and not crowded. Very attentive staff. Had an issue with shower drain in bathroom and it was handled immediately. Utilized the restaurant and bar - great service at both. Definitely recommended and would definitely stay here again. Have stayed at virtually every hotel in the White House area and rank this one near the top, possibly first.

Our family spend a few days in DC sightseeing. We walked to every attraction - about 10-15 minutes each way. The hotel staff was really helpful and the concierge gave us water each time we came in the door. The bar was large and comfortable, and had fun drinks and an outdoor area. The 'free' breakfast for kids was really limited, but a nice option to have. And our room was beautiful and full of light all day.

Good location! It is 5 mins walk to the white house. Comfortable room, but I have to request for free water.

Good trip enjoyed the Sofitel outside bar. Pretty central location.
