Overall I I felt the room that our needs and allowed us access to many of the sites that we had came to see. I think the rooms were well equipped with the fridge and coffee maker. There were a few cosmetic items like peeling wallpaper.

Raj and Deron cheerfully greeted us at the front desk, and accommodated our special request, for a birthday greeting, upon check-in. The location of the breakfast, on the lower level was not clarified, as we came down to the lobby at just before 9:30, the desk was quite occupied with guest checkouts, so it appeared we had missed the small morning food service. Even the coffee was unavailable in the lobby, the decanter out of its contents. Only one elevator had a sign that specified breakfast was available on the lower level, and we hadnt taken that elevator until later in the day. Talk about an "A-Ha" moment. Our second morning, we enjoyed the breakfast. The lack of sufficient towel bars or hooks in the bathroom to enable towels to dry was inconvenient. The room refrigerator wasnt very cool, but we felt better keeping a bit of food and drink in it, rather than at ambient room temp. Also, the lack of smart TVs, those able to stream bluetooth, or access apps such as YouTube, kept us from giving 5 stars. The relatively fresh cookies in the lobby were a nicely added sweet treat. We did have a good stay, overall.

The hotel has very small rooms (less than 1.5’ between the bed and the wall on either side, a desk that couldn’t fit my laptop, a chest that had seen the war,…). The furniture was subpar and very dated, badly scuffed… Same goes for the elevators and the breakfast room, which is a windowless room in the basement. The breakfast food was mediocre at best, we ended up going out for breakfast, which was an unplanned extra expense. The only redeeming factor was the staff. They were very sweet, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable of the area and the city, really nice. That goes both for the front desk staff and the room cleaners. When leaving on the last day, I was solicited by a homeless person who was very persistent in the “lobby” of the hotel (the few square feet between the elevators and the front doors), which was a first for me.

The stay was comfortable but the room was a bit small. The hotel's main entrance has 5-10 steps and it's a bit inconvenient to take your luggage up them. They have an accessible side entrance but it's a bit inconvenient I think. Other than that, the stay was enjoyable and the breakfast was nice.
