Shop around for parking. Overall great choice for the price.
Well-located and room was clean. But, hotel needs renovation. Carpet was dirty, old and worn. My room was small, but the problem was it had too much furniture for its size. Hallway was noisy, especially with doors that did not have "soft" closing hinges. Front desk staff were not welcoming or friendly.
hotel is good , but not worth for the amount paid.
I stayed at this hotel for my sisters birthday weekend and we enjoyed every but of it. The staff was helpful and told us where certain attractions were and how to get around the city. The only thing I didnt like is the fact that we had to valet park because there was not any street parking.
The hotel was centrally located. It was cheaper than many other hotels, yet it was also cheaper. The room was clean and there was wifi as well as continental breakfast. The staff was also courteous. I would stay there again if my trips bring me to Washington DC again.
We were a little concerned about beg bugs at the beginning but our stay turned out to be quite wonderful. My boyfriend and I booked a single with a king-sized bed for three nights and we were satisfied with the overall experience especially given the amount of money we paid. Location was great. easy access to the white house and metra station.
I was there for a conference for one day. The hotel location was perfect and I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the room was. I used the transit system after 10 pm and walked to the hotel which was close by and in a safe neighborhood. I was able to walk to my conference the next morning after a self serve breakfast. Check in was pleasant and swift. No problems and I had a good night's sleep.
Hotel was is a nice area. Walking distance to shopping or attractions. Staff was courteous. Breakfast was more then expected.
Decent room and good wifi. Can't complain. When I called, my rate was a few $ higher though than online booking for the same room
I stayed at this hotel while attending a professional conference at the DC Convention Center (CC). It is only 6 blocks from the CC and from the CC Metro Station on the Yellow Line, which runs directly from Reagan National Airport to the CC (easy commute for $3), and hooks you up to anywhere in the city. The neighborhood surrounding the hotel is residential and attractive, with many restaurants, coffee shops, and some convenience stores within a 5-15 minute walk in all directions. Maddy's Taproom is phenomenal; 2 blocks away, 40 beers on tap, good burgers, full service bar, lots of TVs for watching sporting events. Thai Tanic was so delicious and made for great take out from only a few blocks away. Quite a few restaurants deliver to the hotel with a 5% discount for hotel guests, including a couple Indian and Mediterranean restaurants that had great menus; unfortunately, I was too late in ordering the night I checked them out. Fast food is nearby, also. Front desk staff are very knowledgeable about the area and can direct you to any restaurant with any cuisine. The staff are very friendly, they keep fresh coffee brewing fresh popcorn popping all day long, with baked cookies in the late afternoon (all complimentary). The business center is very basic (computer and printer) but **free**. Breakfast is free each morning with eggs, bacon/sausage, waffles, bagels, pastries, fruit, yogurt, etc. and several juices, milk, and coffee. My King room was small and a bit crowded, but equipped with everything I needed, including a good desk and chair for a work station. There were two major drawbacks. First, the free internet was virtually worthless for me as a professional trying to work from my room. Even though I was located directly above the hotel desk/office (where the router was located), the signal vacillated between 1-2 mbps and crashed frequently; there was barely enough signal to make a VPN connection and I got disconnected constantly. Even when I was just surfing the web, the pages were very slow to load and froze up often. Second, there was a video camera hidden in the door of the wardrobe cabinet, directly facing the bed, which was hardwired into the wall behind the cabinet (see photos). Directly below the camera a blue panel appears to be a sound receiver. This creeped me out! Fortunately I saw it soon after I entered the room and covered it over for my entire stay. Overall, the price ($109/night) was tough to beat and I was pleased with the experience except for the frustration of the internet IN-access and the creepy video.
Excellent value; other hotels nearby are much more expensive and if you don't need a hotel bar and restaurant this is a great place to stay. Several very good restaurants within a six block walk. Very good complimentary full breakfast.
Walkable to Metro, internet reception was good and FREE, within a few blocks of restaurants, cabs nearby, would stay here again.
The Comfort Inn was conveniently located to major sites around D.C. It was comfortable, quiet, and we appreciated the expanded breakfast offerings.
The staff was very helpful and welcoming. There was a hot breakfast every morning and cookies in the afternoon. Everything was in walking distance of the hotel. We had a pretty good time.
Good location, decent room though not well insulated against street noise, limited interaction with staff but they were pleasant
All was fine; breakfast better than average. Friendly staff and a good location for the price.
The downtown location and humble, helpful staff made this business trip worth it. The room was clean and quaint; the staff were helpful and available (24/7). The complimentary coffee and cookies were awesome! I booked my next stay with them prior to my check out! Class A hotel in a Class A town
The location was convenient, the room was clean and comfortable -- best pillows ever! [...](front desk) is a treasure.
The hotel was close to shops, restaurants and within several blocks walking distance to the Smithsonian.
everything was good. Business center was in renovations.
