Hilton Stamford Hotel & Executive Meeting Center

Traveled to this hotel with some work colleagues for a business trip. Not knowing the area I figured we were safe with the Hilton. The moment we checked in on 6/27 the systems were down and we had to be escorted to our rooms every time we wanted to get in. We had 3 rooms, all 3 rooms were disgusting. Wall paper peeling, dirty and dingy, hair in two of the beds, a dead spider in one shower, blood stain on one carpet, the shower had nothing to separate it from the bathroom floor so water leaked out everywhere all over the floor into a huge puddle. We went to eat dinner downstairs, ordered lobster bisque they were out, ordered calamari, they were out. A small cup of clam chowder and the caprese salad I ordered which contained 5 pieces of arugula cost me close to $40 by the time I added a flat soft drink. Breakfast for 4 of us the next day was decent despite the fact that it was $90 for 4 and the waiter spilled water all over a colleagues leg. Checked out with a less than pleasant front desk clerk who reminded me of my valet charge after spending $8 for a vitamin water and a Hershey bar in the gift shop. I was honestly very taken back by this experience and will certainly ensure I stay elsewhere when we visit that office location.

The staff is very friendly located in good area, rooms are very clean.

I didn't like that the elevator was out of service and I had my handicap mother with me. Also the garage was very much confusing for the parking.

Front desk Staff isn't friendly... Breakfast is OK. Parking is confusing

Food was horrible wait time to get service was unacceptable particularly Food Service the quality of the food was poor

We stayed on the week-end to visit friends in the area. This hotel was an excellent value. Five star experience in every way. I imagine business travelers would find it conveniently located as it is in the commercial, downtown area.

We happened to stay when renovation work was happening in the lobby and surrounding areas.

The hotel was conveniently located within walking distance to the Stamford train station. The staff was very accommodating over the phone, at check in and at valet. Room was nice size, very clean and comfortable. The only thing I could find to complain about is the noise - you can hear everything going on in the hall. overall very good stay. Would stay there again.

The hotel was being renovated while I was there, which probably explains the relatively low rate. There was no work actively being done so it wasn't disruptive. The room was clean and comfortable. There was some minor damage to the closet and bathroom doors in the room that felt out of place compared to the rest of the fixtures and furnishings, as if they had been neglected during updates. The only major negative was the wifi service, which kept dropping off on my phone and I was never even able to connect to from my iPad (the network didn't come up as an option and when I manually entered it, it wouldn't connect). I would expect better from Hilton. Was only there for a quick overnight so just made do.

Our stay was pleasant. Check-in was easy and the staff was courteous. The hotel offers on-site self-parking and the lots are a bit confusing, but that was the only part of the entire stay that wasn't efficient and comfortable. The room was clean and well appointed, and I slept very well.

This hotel needs a lot of upgrades. Vending / ice machines very old, fe of them don't work. No fridge or Microvawe in the room, no continental breakfast unless you pay more. There are no attractions neear by. Swimming pool is old. Parking lot is huge and confusing.

Very average for what they advertise and for the price. Room was much smaller than expected, not a lot of amenities and it was outdated. Hair from pervious guests was still throughout the bathroom and the tub wouldn't drain at all. On the plus side, hotel staff were very professional and helpful. I went down to the hotel bar for a drink and ordered one of their advertised Manhattans- the bartender was confused as how to make it and seemed very frantic. I was only here for one night & probably will never come back.

Room was not clean/ shower & flush have problems. Customer service was not good.

All staff & facilities were top notch.. And the price was unbeatable.

We stopped at the Hilton Stamford while traveling through the area - I selected the hotel on Orbitz based on price and ratings. Very good rate for the night and the hotel is close to the interstate and very clean, comfortable and well maintained. Staff were friendly although the king room we had booked literally an hour prior to arrival want available oddly. The girl who checked us in did get us a room with a nice view of the water to compensate. Unfortunately they also charge for parking - $12 a night to self park. And we decided to order room service since it was late and we have a 7 month old. The menu was missing from our room, so we had to call for one to be brought up which they did quickly thankfully. Decent options, but for a burger, fish tacos and appetizer we spent $90. Outrageous and the food was just average. Nice hotel, just disappointed with the extra parking fee and the over priced dinner.

when I arrived at the hotel the staff member that helped me was not very friendly and actually gave me an attitude. It was a misunderstanding and she was not able to find my name on the computer. I had to call the company through which I booked the room. they finally cleared the situation. However, the person who initially helped me gave me an attitude and was not only mean but extremely rude. I was surprised at such behavior and mentioned it to the supervisor. They then offered us complementary breakfast and parking. They also allowed us to check out an our later. This did ease the situation and it eventually worked out. The hotel is beautiful and breakfast was great!

Great hotel right next to the Amtrak station. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Had a great experience. Will recommend this hotel to everyone and will stay here again when my travels bring me to the area.

The shower head was broken and leaning towards the wall only so very difficult to shower .. Toilet made running noise all night off and on . Hallways were a bit messy and broken wine glasses in the hall ... comfortable beds and overall a nice room but a few issues made me feel I didn't get my money's worth

The hotel was gorgeous and huge! I was surprised how nice it was considered it was less than 100 for a king size bed! When we got there, the lock on our door wasnt working and although it took a while to come up with a solution (new room), we were given a card for complimentary breakfast the next morning. The rooms were extremely clean and it was everything we could have asked for. Will definitely be coming back soon!
