Was well decorated. Everything great except the toilet tissue was wafer thin. Good experience.

I always like this place. Good deal for the price. I love the nostalgia in the lobby and around the hotel, giving it a unique ambiance. They need to upgrade their TVs from old tube type to flat panel.

This property was... umm... unique. Strange retro “stuff” everywhere, from the turtle tanks and life-sized Elvis statue in the lobby, to the incredibly random displays on the walls and in the little sitting nooks. Cafe was just bizarre - and the free breakfast was ok but their coffee and juices were undrinkable. Biggest problem was front desk staff. I booked 8 nights through Orbitz but ended up only needing 7. Tried to change the reservation to cancel the last day but they would/could not do it. Had Orbitz contact them multiple times and they finally said ok, but the bill at checkout was still for 8 nights and they refused to fix it. Booked the 2 rooms as shown at $57/night but found out at checkout that only Mon-Thurs are at that rate; Fri-Sun are double that. Not happy with the property or their policies and the fact that their staff are “not authorized” to fix these issues. Best to avoid this hotel.

Close to Hartford. Nice hotel with cool retro decor, records and board games . Hot breakfast... No big towels in the room, which wasn't cool. All else fine.

lights were not working in the room. Had a party with music so load every thing in the room was vibrating. This was a scheduled event and they put us in a room above the hall. They offered to relocate us to another room after I complained at 10:00 at night. Key card worked when it wanted to the other card not at all. I would rate this facility - 5 stars except house keeping was good.

The hotel definitely has seen its better days. I was told that the hotel will be renovated in the October. Hopefully things would improve after the renovation.

A sign out front says under new management. Well they need to be better managed. I Normally stay at a different chain. But I was feeling very tired and this was the closest one. The guy had a tough time checking in to begin with. And when I finally got me checked in I took one look at the room and checked out. The maid was never there and mind you this was pushing 9 o’clock at night. Beds were Not married, garbage and emptied, towels on the floor the room was a pit. Obviously the maid never check to this off through her management. Or they did a late check out and nobody took time to ready for next guest. Then when I tried to get into another room he wanted to put me into a queen and I said no I want a king and obviously there were none left and I said I’m going to leave. Management take note you need to be overlooking your staff better.

Very nice hotel. Retro vibe. With a little more TLC could be beyond excellent. Spacious room, nice decor. Breakfast is good. Staff is very friendly. Welcoming goodies in the lobby. Those who are into modern won't like it but overall very nice hotel. My second time staying here.

The staff was very friendly and accomodating! We really enjoyed our stay here.

The hotel was interestingly decorated. Good breakfast and staff very friendly

Very clean and comfortable hotel. Decor was very dated and a little weird - but to each his own. Very quiet. Breakfast was ok

I booked the hotel blindly on Orbitz. Working regionally , I get some good and some not so good hotels while traveling. First and foremost, the room was very clean. It is roomy and the beds were comfortable. Bathroom was bigger than most . But understand that you will be staying at a older hotel that is due for some updating. The best way to equate this, is that the television was not a flat screen but older CRT. There is a cottage feel to this four story structure with the common areas decorated with a 50's style diner ( closed) and memorabilia ranging from the Beatles to sports to Hollywood's past stars autographed photos. There is even a koi pond in the lobby. In short, if you are in a relaxed way and not looking for luxury, the price point is great for a nice stay on a roadside hotel. I would recommend it , with the understanding that it is a short stay hotel with a lot of character.

Right next to hop river rail trail and gay city state park. Breakfast couldn’t be served, many things out of order including atm, ice machine, bubble gum machine, empty snack machine and soda machine with half empty water. Staff didn’t take initiative to at least make coffee and tea when something happened to breakfast.

One night stay in transit Wireless worked fine Nothing noteworthy about surrounding area

Remarkable decor - fun atmosphere for a family of 4 stopping for a night during long trip

Enjoyed all the plaques and antiques everywhere and aquarium s

Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The hotel is very dated. All of the furniture is old and worn out. The tv was an old box tv and very poor quality. The air conditioner did not work and it was extremely noisy. The entire room was incredibly dirty: there were giant cobwebs in every corner, every surface had dust, the carpet had not been vacuumed in quite some time, and stained upholstery on the chairs. The mattress was very old and the pillows were thin and hard with only a thin blanket on the bed. The wall and ceiling were so thin everything could be heard through all hours of the night. The room keys had to be reset at the front desk everyday which became very annoying. During my stay, the breakfast was only open once even though it was advertised as open everyday. I believe the room may have bugs since I've been finding itchy, bug bites on myself since my stay.
