    This hotel was recently revamped. It was clean and well maintained. Our room was far more spacious than I’d expected. Staff at checkin was not super friendly but courteous and efficient. Breakfast was great—got to make those waffles, plenty of other foods too. Something for everyone. Cleaners were very kind and happily helped my grandson look for his misplaced earbuds. Would absolutely stay here again.

    First night, 3 of us in a renovated king suite. Shower would not get even as warm as the room air. No linens for pull out. Requested linens, none came. Told front desk about no hot water in the am, maintenance came up turned on the shower said they would be back. He headed out for the day and told front desk we were leaving and shower was still not fixed, running,waiting for maintenance. I book a second room due to the horrid pull out bed.12 hrs later, we come back and shower was left on the entire time, still no hot water. No hot water in any of the rooms apparently by design. The put new shower knows in and only allow it to turn 1/4 of the way. Pool was not heated, shower in Pool cold. No restroom in the pool area. I was told they would credit me back something but that never happened. They did not seem to care that the guests were unhappy. There were public hairs in the bathroom, makeup on pillowcase. Just sad. Wish they cared about their guests.

    The hotel was undergoing a major PIP. It’s always challenging for a hotel that’s tired and trying hard to hang onto their flag to pull off construction without disrupting guests. It was inconsequential to us, as we were here for one night, but it would’ve been nice if the construction was disclosed prior to booking. Overall, this hotel when finished, will be fine, but it’s a bit remote from downtown with a rather ominous walk over the river to get to the center of the city. We thought we were conveniently located, but even a police officer (post concert at the People’s Bank Arena) told us NOT to make the walk back to the hotel across the bridge. I asked if that was due to distance or safety and his answer was, “Both, take an Uber”.

    Pros: Room was very clean. The building is undergoing renovations and the finished floors have rooms that are clean with modern furniture and mattresses. Breakfast was good. Cons: Walls are very thin, we could hear our loud neighbors’ conversations. Shower did not have warm water (it was medium temperature at best) with terrible water pressure. WiFi in our room did not work on any of our devices (phone, laptop, tablet). Towels were also stained and appeared dirty. Staff were not very helpful in resolving these issues.

    Note that this location is under renovation, so maybe it will get better. Our room was just ok. The beds were old and not comfortable, with thin bedding. The bathroom was clean, and the shower was new. The view from our room was a concrete wall. Very nice staff and breakfast was what you expect. Short drive to Trinity College, which is where we were going.

    The hotel and the room were wonderful, Luis the maintenance person was very pleasant and very helpful with the AC and TV in the room. He was nice and offered his services to us.
