COCKROACH infested room! Previously my family booked a two night stay at the Homewood Suites by Hilton located at 338 Asylum St in downtown Hartford during the recent snow/ice storm. The first night was basically get settled in, shower and off to bed. The next day while my wife was opening a lower cabinet door she saw a very large cockroach and a second one that ran off. Immediately we called the desk and they sent a worker up who killed one of the two that were seen. Being completely grossed out and now uncomfortable we decided we no longer could remain in a room with cockroaches or a hotel for that matter. In the bad weather we drove nearly two hours home to sleep in out own bed. Hotel management did nothing to show a sincere apology. They did refund what would've the cost of the second night as they should have since we werent utilizing the room. I WOULD STAY AWAY FROM BOOKING THIS HOTEL

The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. We arrived on the Saturday before St Patrick’s day when Hartford was having their Parade. There was a bar next door that faced our window with people celebrating, the young lady at the desk saw we had young children, she upgraded us at no charge. Breakfast was really good. Great place to stay.

Arrived late, after 11pm, due to road construction... Ugh. Staff greeted me with great smile and warm words. Helped get me squared away with parking, room and where to find breakfast in the AM. Same young lady was working when we checked out. Wow long shift for her, yet the same warm smile greeted us. Cheer

The hotel was conveniently located near the train station. We were satisfied with our one night stay. Our room was clean and comfortable.

The hotel was a perfect location for the restaurant and nightclub that I wanted to visit.

The staff were very nice at this average hotel. The rooms were clean and updated, and they offer free wifi. They also offered complimentary breakfast and dinner, one hot meal offering for each. It was a nice surprise. You can't beat the location for a show at the XL center, which is what must be driving the high price.

Very nicely surprised by this hotel. Large rooms fully equiped kitchen, spotlessly clean. Good breakfast and very pleasent staff. Ideal location for downtown Hartford with parking accross the street. I plan to stay again when next in Hartford.

such a popular place we weren't able to stay as many days as we wanted. fabulous breakfast and light supper were complimentary. staff helpful. great location. highly recommend.

Every single person on the staff was friendly and polite. The suite was clean and well- appointed. Only downside: the elliptical trainer in the fitness room was out of commission.

the hotel was nice and easy to get to. i cane from new jersey for the weekend. i was upset with the parking. no free parking. but it was right across the street from the hotel. the room are spacious and comfortable. an nice hotel to stay for business or personal

It was right near the start of the Hartford Marathon, the reason for our trip. We have been to Hartford before, and paid almost twice as much for a hotel which was not as near the center of town. If you go to the Hilton during the week you get two meals (all you want to eat) a day, and you get breakfast whenever you go. The room had two bedrooms, two baths, a full kitchenm, a dining room, three tv's. It was all brand new and very clean. We loved it.

Friendly staff. We did not have to look for meals in the morning or evening, they were available, free, in the hotel dinning room. We felt safe. No inappropriate persons hanging around the building whenever you went out, day or evening. Police presence in cars, walking and on bycicles. Safe parking lot. Air conditioner could have been up a little more due to very warm days. Desk clerks were helpful and knowledgeable. Kitchen staff was excellent and very helpful. Room was very clean housekeepers friendly. We would stay there any time we visited Hartford and needed accomendations.

Wonderful bargain in convenient, safe Hartford location. Would definitely stay there again. Breakfast includes make your own waffles which were delicious.
